The receptionist submitted the wrong lab test order to the lab technician when I checked in for my scheduled lab appointment. As a result, I had to go back for more blood to be drawn, costing me more time and money. This is not the first costly mistake that I've experienced here, nor, sadly has it been the last. There appears to be little to no communication among the office staff. No one can answer any questions, even simple, general questions that would normally be handled by competent office staff. Instead, the patient is handed off to someone else, who in turn either can't or won't answer questions either. The onus is on the patient to figure out their processes, yet asking questions to understand that process or to try to resolve an issue, is actively discouraged through rudeness and passing the patient off to someone else for an elusive answer that never comes. No one listens to understand what the challenge is, nor do they show any interest or initiative in resolving the actual issue. Solutions are non-existent and, as a result, the quality of care has deteriorated significantly. The problem appears to lie with the office staff rather than the nurse practitioners, who seem to be competent and capable. Perhaps better training for your office staff on clear processes, problem resolution, and setting of expectations will prevent more patients from leaving before you no longer have a viable practice.

I was missed diagnosed by them 3 times. 2 were life treating (pulmonary embolisms) and the other was me having so much fluid around my brain I was going blind. Luckily I went to macon and they took care of the issues. I was admitted for congestive heart failure once as well and one of the female doctors came in and shut off my oxygen when I needed 7 liters in order to breath. I usually go to Med Stop in Bonaire, but there is no comparison. The doctor on staff today was Dr. Monde-Jones. I apologize that I cannot remember the nurse that assisted me, and her name does not appear on my paperwork, but both were fantastic. The nurse was thorough in the questions that she asked, and actually listened to the responses. Dr. Monde-Jones continued by asking next-level questions that allowed her to formulate the best care plan for me. A times I felt as if I was talking too much because I'm not accustomed to physicians and medical professionals actually listening so intently without interrupting. Dr. Monde-Jones was very personable and I really wish she could be my Primary Care Physician. Yes, I asked several times but unfortunately she cannot. Regardless, the knowledge and guidance that I walked away with will help me make informed and confident decisions with regards to the direction I take with my medical care. His nurse Amber was very sweet and was able to get my echo done today as well with this visit. The two AA ladies who did my preworkup (history and EKG) were magnificent as well (Sorry I dont know your names). The echo technician was excellent. She was super, super nice and engaged in great conversation during the test. It was so full in the lobby when I got there, but one of the checkout ladies came from her desk to check people in from her hand held device to assist the the ladies working the four check in windows. I went in remembering the NP she had at the time did a flu and strep throat swab but prior to told me if I hit her, she will hit back. Very rude and unprofessional. As a healthcare professional, I know whats entailed in a flu/ strep swab but it's still your job to explain. After those were negative that cough nagged and nagged me right on. When I would call, it made me feel they thought I just wanted medicines. Absolutely not! I hate taking the ones I'm on. Chest x-ray was negative. I later found out that I possibly had covid before it was ever confirmed. My lungs are messed up now. They can only describe them as junky....being unable to clear so I try to take it seriously but honestly I do all I can before going to the doctor. I personally hate going to the doctor so if I go outside of a normal appointment, something is wrong.
