My mom is a patient of Dr. Aminpour's. He took over the practice of her former PCP when she retired…read morelast year so we weren't sure what we were getting with the new doctor. The first time I took my mom to one of her appointments with him, I was so impressed. He really took a lot of time with her, was so patient and kind and truly listened to her. My mom has always been very picky about her doctors and always finds reason to find someone new but after her last appointment she actually said that Dr. Aminpour may be the best doctor she's ever had. My mom lives with me and I'm her medical advocate and the fact that he's willing to collaborate with me on her labs etc. (I'm a part time health coach after having to learn to advocate for myself when I was diagnosed with multiple chronic medical conditions) says so much about his character. He truly wants the best for his patients. My husband has his first appointment with him in a couple weeks and my son will be seeing him next. If I didn't already have an excellent GP, he'd be my doctor as well. In this day and age of for profit insurance companies controlling our healthcare, it's rare to find such a kind AND smart doctor. He's a needle in a haystack.

Where do I even begin? I have given this office staff multiple chances to improve, but the…read moresituation only continues to get worse. We are fairly new to this health center after enrolling with IEHP in 2025. While the doctor seems great, the office staff's repeated mistakes have made this experience incredibly frustrating and counterproductive. During our first visit, a nurse incorrectly recorded my son's height as 5'6" when he is actually close to 5'9". While I initially brushed this off as a minor mistake, it was unfortunately just the beginning. At his first round of lab work, some concerns were identified. He was prescribed Vitamin D and we were told to monitor his blood sugar levels, as he was borderline prediabetic. A second round of labs was scheduled, but they failed to check his Vitamin D levels. At that point, his results showed he had progressed to prediabetes, and he was referred to endocrinology. Before the third set of labs, I asked the office to include all tests requested by the endocrinologist in their order. I was initially told no. I then attempted to cancel the appointment, explaining I would proceed directly through endocrinology, but the office reassured me they could handle everything and encouraged me to keep the appointment. At that visit, the nurse was unable to successfully draw blood from one arm and had to attempt again in the other. My son, who is autistic, began to shut down, which I clearly communicated to the nurse. Despite this, she dismissed my concerns, stated he was "fine," and proceeded to hug him, which triggered a meltdown. As a result, he missed an entire day of school and needed time to recover in a safe space. When the endocrinologist later reviewed the lab results, they were unable to properly assess his condition because critical tests--including his A1C--had not been completed. We were forced to schedule yet another round of lab work. The only notable finding was elevated liver enzymes, but without the complete panel, no conclusions could be made. At this point, I expressed my frustration to the doctor and requested to take the lab order to Labcorp myself. I was told I could pick up the lab slip before 5 PM. I arrived at 4:50 PM, only to find the office locked. After knocking, someone opened the door and told me they were in a meeting. I explained that I had been told I could pick up the slip until 5 PM. They eventually handed me stapled paperwork, which included a lab order and what appeared to be an appointment notice. Unfortunately, the issues did not end there. I later received a notice from Bloomington Community Health blaming me for providing Labcorp with the wrong (outdated) lab slip. This is extremely concerning, as I had never previously taken my son outside of their office for lab work and relied entirely on the documents they provided. It appears the office printed and gave me an outdated lab order, resulting in yet another failed attempt to complete necessary testing. Because of this error, even the follow-up on his elevated liver enzymes have been missed. To say I am frustrated is an understatement. The repeated errors, lack of accountability, and disregard for patient needs have made it impossible to trust this office with my child's care. This level of disorganization is not only unacceptable--it has the potential to negatively impact patient health. I would give zero stars if I was able to. Horrible service!

My chiropractor is a good doctor and so is his assistant very professional and friendly but the checking in process is so horrible . On the doctor side they are a little bit more professional, but often have mistakes on figuring out what's going on and call me multiple times to confirm what someone else already confirmed. I'm going to have to change my doctor due to this bad service. Drs are good but front desk workers are rude and unprofessional. Good luck !

This place is just waiting for a Malpractice lawsuite to happen! I've been begging my father and…read morebrother to leave this medical group for years, but they just wont listen! The only reason they stay is because they like their Dr. I give this place a 1 star, 0 if I could due to the lack of knowledge from the medical assistants, and office staff! I honestly dont know how they're still in business! I go to ever Dr appointment with my father and every time I go the operator is on a personal phone call while the phones are ringing off the hook! How do i know its a personal call you ask? She sits in the lobby and you can hear her conversation and giggles! The lobby is small and quiet and theres no privacy window. The office staff that collect copayments and check you in all sit the lobby area in small desk. You can hear everything they talk about, patient names, DOB, in my opinion major HIPPA violation! There should be some sort of privacy to protect patient identity and information! Every time we call to try and reach the Dr to leave a message we are put on hold for litteraly 45 minutes one time! Never once does anyone come back to say anything you just sit like a waiting duck! Finally I give up and decide to hang up! Ive complained multiple times, including my father to the clinic director, the Dr and lets just say that even the Dr agreed that hes lost many patients due to the lack of experience of this staff! A few years ago my brother almost died when he was misdiagnosed with a cold instead of pulmonary embolisim. I took him to urgent care after he coughed up a scary amount of blood, I took the blood in a ziplock bag as a sample to show the Dr. This was dark colored pure blood and not just a tiny bit a pretty scary amount, The dr disregarded it and said oh this is nothing its just some blood because maybe he coughed and strained his throat! I begged him (the Dr) to ask for a second opinion I didnt believe for one second that this was not serious, he looked at me like I was crazy and gave my brother some antibiotics and send him on his way! This is the way urgent care is they are always in a rush to get you out of there! 12 hours later he collapsed at home and was rushed via ambulance to the nearaest hospital, this is when we discovered he had several clots in his lungs! The Dr said it was miracle hes alive! In my opinion this clinic is ALWAYS dirty! The patient rooms are old and run down, and never kept up! It looks dirty and unsanitary! Especially urgent care! That area of the clinic stinks, theres always trash on the floors, the bathrooms are disgusting! I would imagine they are comparable to a public porter potty! Again this is just some of the crazy stuff that has happened I could get into more stories but think I could write a whole novel! Ive asked and begged and pleded with my dad to please switch drs but hes happy with his Dr and feels that its to much of a hassel to switch and leave a good Dr because the rest of the staff lacks!
