Sanitation stations are frequently empty, bathrooms have been unsanitary, and staff often seem disengaged. I previously worked at a gym where we had scheduled daily cleaning assignments, sanitation station checks every 20-30 minutes, and stocked cleaning carts to prevent exactly these issues--so I know consistent systems make a difference. I was also disappointed with the owner's response to my previous review, as I was told to address staff directly rather than seeing clear operational improvements. I hope management takes more proactive steps, as I'd prefer to stay rather than cancel my membership.

For in town residents, the prices are incredible. $20 for use of facility for the year (gym, racquetball courts, walking track, climbing wall, etc.) And only $85 for full facility use(addiditon of the weight room) It will be impossible for you to find a cheaper gym to join, seriously. Own down side, they only have one basketball court. This often stops 5 on 5 pickup games when 2 little kids want to use the court which can be a little annoying. Otherwise, no complaints.

These launches are always a big deal and bring such great energy! I participated in the Core launch and BodyBalance launch, and both classes were amazing. The instructor is incredible, super motivating and really knows how to make the experience feel special. She even hosted a drawing for prizes, which was a fun extra touch. The energy in the room was high, the workouts were challenging but rewarding, and my body definitely thanked me afterward. It's one of those "feel good after" kind of workouts. I also love that these classes are included with membership, it really adds value and makes it worth it. Definitely something I look forward to every time!

I've been to North Mass Boulder a few times now and always have a great time! Everyone there has been super welcoming, and I've never once felt out of place as a non-climber. The cafe upstairs is also really solid. It's a nice spot to sit, relax, and let your hands recover between climbs. Prices seem fair across the board, and the staff has always been friendly and helpful. It's just a really fun place to spend a couple hours!

It was a gym, weights, floor pressess, squat racks, dumbbells up to 150 lbs fat bars, chains and some really good machines. It was neither a powerlifting gym or body building. It was designed for all kinds of training for all ages and very welcoming. Yes there are some broken and used equipment, but that describes me! After 40 years of powerlifting this was a refreshing change to the fitness gyms of today. I felt at home. This from a contributor to powerlifting USA hardcore gyms. Thanks for a great workout.

It's definitely not as well kept as some of the other gyms in the area, but it has it's own charm. The gym has a good amount of free weights, machines and cardio equipment. Unfortunately, most of it is really old, and they're short on bars sometimes. Still, I have never had a problem with the equipment, and despite it's age, it does it's job. There is a separate room with some really heavy weights for the hardcore. The clientele skews towards the more hardcore rather than bored housewives. This tends to intimidate some people, but everyone has always been very considerate towards me. It's a good value, only 15 dollars a month if you sign up for an entire year. It's 30 dollars if you sign up on a month by month basis and 75 for 3 months at a time. They also have specials occaionally. You also get unlimited access to tanning and free movie rentals. Yeah, they have free movie rentals for some reason. Judging from the selection, I think they raided a Blockbuster that was going out of business. In other words, it's mostly B-movies with a few new releases and some classics peppered in. My only complaint is the extremely limited child care services. It's basically a small, unsupervised playpen with some toys in it. I don't have kids so this in itself isn't an issue but there's been a few times when some welfare queen will bring her 12 kids to the gym and they end up running amok, playing on equipment and the like. There's no place for that at a gym. Despite this complaint, I've been coming to this place for about a year and I really enjoy it. Don't let's it's run down appearance fool you. Oh yeah, they've also started keeping some old weight lifting magazines from the 80's and 90's around which is pretty amusing.
