Sean, the assistant manager, knows my name and always smiles and says hello. This goes a long way in my book. At the big box gyms, you're just a face in a million. I always come on my lunch hour to lift and never have issues getting to any piece of equipment. The have a great weight room with a large selection of machines and free weights. The equipment is older and not shiny and new, but it's all functional and safe, so who cares? The cardio selection is decent, lots of treadmills, several ellipticals, lots of bikes and a few stair masters. I can't speak to their classes, I've never taken any. The sauna is nice and hot as hell. Locker rooms are older, but again, functional. All around, this is a highly recommended facility. Speaking as a woman that frequently works out alone, I very much enjoy my time at CTF and look forward to working out now more than ever.

And, without notice, they got rid of our Tues class to a swim instruction class and totally rearranged the other 3 instructors. Instead of just dropping Tues, they let one instructor have 2 classes each (4 classes) on Mon and Wed and another instructor was moved to Thurs. Many of us signed a letter to the owner to keep the omitted instructor on Mon evening, allow the Wed class to go on with the instructor that already had Wed, and the only instructor that would have been effected would have been the T/Th instructor, but she would still have had her TWO classes on Thurs. There numerous letters sent to Greg, the owner, and he has not had the courage to change things per our request with all 3 instructors. The Monday class with the omitted instructor has lost multiple participants and we are missing our friends. There was no reason for this to have occurred....and if there was, the owner of LivRite hasn't had the decency to inform us. We thought this was a Christian organization, don't believe it the way the owner has acted.

I had the best of intentions but didn't end up getting as much workout time as I had hoped. They've done a great job with the rebrand and all of the staff I encountered were very hospitable and friendly. The lower level features a well organized weight room and the upstairs had a variety of cardio and weights equipment- a few were on the older side but everything seemed to work. They offer a handful of classes throughout the week. I could see this being a good downtown gym option if you live nearby or happen to be traveling for work and looking to squeeze in some movement .

It can be intimidating for many going to a new space, let alone a gym, but this space has no pretense other than wanting to help you meet your fitness goals in the most supportive way possible. The trainers I've gotten to interact with are encouraging and knowledgeable and are always around to answer questions or help you set up a machine if needed. They also (I believe) have cards with workout ideas if you don't really know how to structure your workout. They offer weekly classes as well ranging from yoga to strength and tone classes and more. They have a spacious locker room with showers and they also have cubbies on the main floor as well to store your things. Most of the members I've met are awesome! I highly recommend giving this gym a shot if you want a comfortable and non intimidating space to meet your fitness goals.

There are also limited time programs throughout the year that often come with membership or an additional cost. This includes training for a Deka mile, triathalon, 5k, etc. With membership, you also get access to IUI'S olympic sized swimming pool. There are clean showers and a sauna available too. They offered 24/7 access to the facility, by way of going through the Anytime Fitness that is located next door to them. This was key for me because my schedule didn't line up with their class schedule, but I could go and do the posted workouts at anytime! Even better, there was always a coach available that I could get clarification for movements that I wasn't familiar with. They program for crossfit, AFL (Advanced Fat Loss), Strength, and Physique training! I loved the different workout options and their program is definitely a challenge, but like any program, it's adjustable. I think this helps to maintain a positive, non-judgmental atmosphere because you're all there for a similar reason but you're probably all participating in different programs. They have an incredible staff of coaches. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and they truly know their movements. Noah, Anthony, and Jesse were super helpful and friendly with their feedback. These guys won't steer you wrong, regardless of the programming you participate in. The facility is clean and well maintained. If you need help with nutrition, they work with a Registered Dietitian who can help and they work with a meal prep and delivery service. Y'all, this place makes getting in shape a breeze. They have every service you need. Moreover, all of the staff and members that I came in contact with, were fantastic people. The instructor (Darian) gives a quick review in the beginning for new class takers but once the lights go out it's time to get down to business. The class is 45 minutes of high energy, great dancing music, and a million squats to get your booty nice and right for life. It is loud in the class with the music and instructor yelling over the mic, but I promise you once you get through your first class you'll be ready to come back for more. The high cardio workout is one of the best ones I've come across in a long time. This was perfect to get comfortable enough to join a class! Signed up for a package. Classes are great! Scaled to my ability and difficult but obtainable. Treated like an athlete and great coaching is put into every session. Love it! Great culture at this gym! People are friendly and will welcome with open arms! Great gym!
