NOT ER. This is a medical appointment with Dr Choi So far,…read moreso good. Arrival experience: Valet parking was smooth with friendly valet. Walked directly in to the lobby reception and was greeted by two friendly desk associates. The check in required photo identification for both of us. Clear instructions to the Dr Office on the first floor. DR CHOI's office: Checked in by Kelly~ friendly and efficient. Nearly immediately checked with procedures and sent us to X~ray registration on level one lobby. ( this seemed like the only redundant process) there was no line, so we were able to check in quickly with the friendly desk representative who knew we were on our way- Good communication between Kelly at Dr Choi's office and Radiology reception. Within minutes we were on the way to 2nd floor radiology. RADIOLOGY: smooth arrival experience ( I recommend that you snap a photo of your script for your records before handing it over. They were accommodating for this when we asked, this may save time from having to ask for records later. WAITING: one other patient was in the waiting room when we arrived. The waiting room is organized, well lit, and clean. There is a TV The wait was reasonable and brief about 7 minutes. Erica and student Tammy greeted us and requested the script ~ we directed them to the desk agent. Within a minute, they left for X-ray. More pleasant staff. All is going smoothly for Radiology. I will review Dr Choi separately.

From the moment I arrived, I was quickly swept up in the smooth and caring processing and care of hospital staff: after a thorough preliminary exam, I was soon transferred to the hospital itself for 24 hours of careful and thoughtful treatment. I was deeply moved by the kind attention of every member of their staff and the warm dynamic they employed. Discharged yesterday, I am now slowly returning to normal thanks to the unquestioned care of this fine institution and dedicated staff. We are lucky to have this kind of quality option in the mid Hudson Valley.

Wish I could give a zero. My family has been with Mid-hudson…read moreMedical since the beginning. Its more than 15 years now. We have seen continuous erosion in the basic care to the point where all they do is write on the damn ipad, fill in blanks and move you along. They don't care about anything. You cannot get through on the phone. They never call with lab results...honestly its been a year waiting on blood work, urinalysis and the other tests from my illness last spring. I cant take off work to go there, but don't worry, if you owe them a $20 copay that got declined they hound you night and day. Originally our PCP was Joe Garvey, He became President and CEO, okay we get that, then they gave us Epstein who about 18 months ago "was not a PCP anymore and we can't talk about it"! What is that? Now we have no PCP...we are in a pandemic with no PCP and there is nobody to talk to. You wait 9 months for a physical. I'm 65 now so this is an issue. Today they call to reschedule it with no reason. I ask about the results of my last lab work, she says she can transfer me to the people who can help me. I tell her its been a year. She says well they are working remote. Like that is an intelligent response. So she transfers me, it rings non stop for 17 minutes with nobody picking up then you guessed it...it disconnects me. These people and this Group are incompetent. All they care about is getting your money.

My question to these bright helpful people was, excuse me does this place close due to Dr. X, not being here? Please get the Dr. who is filling in for him and have the nurse & Dr. get my scripts ready for me. Pass the buck! My mother goes there because she likes her primary, but I wish she would find another place. They don't care about your health. I was told by my primary when I was going there to see the ortho there! Um , thats right he was the Dr. who got busted for doing wrong. The problem is thats all there is in Hudson Valley is the mills for money.

I have an heart arrhythmia problem, and had gone to 2 previous cardiologists, and Dr. Solomon was…read moremy third. I was looking for some answers as to why my heart continuously beats out of my chest. I was given 3 tests by 2 previous other docters, and Dr. Solomon was my 3rd opinion. The other 2 doctors administered the tests, but did not have any answers as to why this was happening. At my first visit with Dr. Solomon, he read the results of their tests. He confirmed that I had SVT, an arrithmia condition that needed follow through. The other day I was experiencing discomfort and pain down my left arm which may have been a sign of heart attack, and felt very powerful palpitations all day. I headed to the emergency room at Vassar hospital after calling Dr. Solomon and his recommendation for additional tests. I waited 4 /12 hour at Vassar and they gave me no results or closure as to why I was experiencing these symptoms. I couldnt wait any longer since I waited from 8:30 pm till 1:30 am the next morning, and they did not know how much longer it would be until I could see a doctor to provide me with results . I was told at Vassar that if I left (at 1:30), and didn't stay to see the doc on call, I would never see my X-rays again. I left because I couldnt wait any longer. I sent Dr. Solomon a note the following day, telling him I would like the results of my X-ray so that I could go to another Dr. for a 4th opinion because I could not get any answers at the hospitial, and that I wanted to take them home with me the next day after I saw him. The next day, I had a follow up with Dr. Solomon who was extremely angry with me because he felt upset that I wanted to go for a 4th opinion. He felt I directed anger at him, which was not true, but I was angry at the way Vassar treated me in the ER and was told that I'd never see my X-rays again if I left at 1:30 am. He told me that he didnt want to hear about what went on at the hospital and that I should just accept the long delay and the amount of suffering I felt because it was the "way all hospitals are running because of Covid. He began yelling and screaming like a child at both me and my husband, and would not let us get a word in edgewise. He then said that there weren't any findings of problems in my blood tests or X-ray, yet he wanted to order a Dye Cat Scan. This was contradictory to what he said about finding nothing worrisome in my tests or x-ray (that he was able to get the results of after all) Another test, I feel, would be very unnessesary and not needed since he did not see any reason for alarm With the tests given at Vassar. He also accused me of just making up a story since my mom had a history of a heart attack at my age, and I was just looking for attention and was anxious about it. He told me that I was anxious knowing the family history I have and was over exaggerating. I am a 58 year old women who works out every day and is in amazing shape. I would never go to a hospital complaining of pain down my left arm if it wasnt true. I would never sit in a ER for 4 1/2 hours if I didnt feel it was necessary due to my arrhythmia problem. After the way I was treated by Dr. Solomon, I will never, ever step foot into his office again! He made me feel like a hypochondriac who was just looking for attention. He made me feel worse than I had been feeling prior to my appointment with him. He was extremely rude, threw a childlike tantrum, was uncompassionate and uncaring. Shame on him for choosing cardiology as a profession since heart problems can be very serious, and compassion and care should be a top priority when it comes to heart care. Also shame on Nuvance (who runs the entire hospital at Vassar) for allowing such an uncompassionate doctor to practice under their name.
