What is going on with U. S. Bank?!?!? I have been banking with them for…read more30 years and been just fine with the service at various branches. But now, something is terribly wrong. The treatment I got at the branch near 50th and France, Edina and the branch in Roseville, off of Larpenteur has been awful: Rudeness, Anger, Incompetence. The tellers are fine, but the bankers! They are rude, angry, unprofessional and not at all knowledgeable. The branches are never very busy, but the bankers ignore those waiting while they eat Cheetos and drink their Big Gulp. When I have interacted with them, they don't seem to know what to do to help me. Incompetent. The banker at the Roseville bank was filled with anger when I asked a question. As I tried to help her understand what I needed, she grew angrier. She clearly hates her job. She called over her colleague to ask what to do since she couldn't figure out what to do and was ranting at me so her colleague had to say to her, "Let her speak". U. S. Bank needs to do some serious professional development, especially in the area of customer service. If a question about someone's bank account pisses you off, you need to go find a different job.

I typically get great service at US Bank branches, but it's always really slow and impolite here…read more Today I waited 15 minutes for one car to move forward in the drive through, then nobody acknowledged me or said anything for 10 minutes once I pulled up, then a lady came on and said 3 words and laughed at my simple question. After I sent over the cash I was depositing and my ID, it took another 10 minutes before someone came on and just said "thank you" and that was it. No deposit receipt, no "Okay you're all set, have a great day", no "Anything else you need today?". Just 35 minutes for a simple transaction, and a total of 5 words from the staff. Overall really poor customer service and very slow for such a simple function. I rarely go to the bank in person anymore and now I'm reminded why unfortunately.

I opened a checking and savings account with this bank in early May after my 87-year-old mother,…read morewho has been a customer for over 15 years, highly recommended them. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing like hers. It is now almost July, and I still have not received my account information or my debit or credit cards despite having to call customer service at least five or six times. No customer should have to repeatedly chase down basic account materials after opening new accounts. What finally prompted me to write this review was my interaction with a customer service representative named Penny. From the start of the call, she repeatedly interrupted me while I was trying to explain why I was calling. She even argued with me about my mailing address, despite the fact that many eastern Twin Cities suburbs use "Saint Paul" in their mailing address. As I explained that I was understandably frustrated after nearly two months of trying to resolve this issue, I felt that her tone became increasingly dismissive and condescending. Rather than listening, she repeatedly told me to "calm down," said things like "Oh, you poor thing," and spoke to me in a way that felt patronizing instead of professional. I was also placed on hold for nearly 20 minutes just to retrieve my account number. After the call ended, she called me back and left a voicemail that I found highly inappropriate and unprofessional. At that point, I had completely lost confidence in the level of customer service I was receiving. I will admit that after weeks of frustration and what I felt was disrespectful treatment, I became upset at the end of the call. However, that frustration was the result of nearly two months of unresolved issues and an interaction that I believe could have been handled much more professionally. I chose this bank because of my mother's excellent experience over the past 15 years. Sadly, mine has been the exact opposite. I hope management reviews this situation, listens to the recorded calls and voicemail, and takes steps to improve how customers are treated. No one should have to fight just to receive their account information and basic respect.

She just started typing and clicking her mouse: type, type, type, type, click, click, type, type, click, click, click, type, type, type, type, click, click, type, type, click, click, click, type, type, type, type, click, click, type, type, click, click, click. I wondered what she was doing, as she hadn't asked my name or for a driver's license or anything - what could she be typing? So I stood there waiting, and waiting and waiting, and waiting. FINALLY, she looks at me with the most stone-faced expressionless look I've ever seen and said, "We can have someone meet with you at 2 pm if you want to come back." (I was there in the morning.) Can you imagine if Walmart or Target ran their business that way?: You're at the checkout with your cart of items and the cashier says, "Can you please go and put all those things back on the shelves and come back later to buy them?" Sorry. You've already lost this potential customer. I took my business to a different nearby credit union where I was treated like an old friend even though it was the first time I'd been in there. What a difference! Blaze blew it.

One visit was to simply deposit a check when I had other errands in the area. The other, more recent, visit was to open an IRA account before filing my 2021 Federal taxes. For opening the IRA, I made an appointment online and went the following day to meet with a representative, Scarlette Lao, who was so pleasant, personable and helpful. I felt like I was well-attended to and that I and my business there was appreciated. I left there feeling like I had a new friend!
