Now when I read the Greek gyro omelette I really though why would I put taziki sauce on this but when I say it was the most delicious thing I could've done the sauce just took the omelette to a whole other level it was so good. Inside at 7 it's a group of regulars maybe 10 people total and the server knows them all by name. She was very nice I didn't happen to catch her name. The baklava was very tasty, and had nice pistachio crumbles on it, but the honey was a bit too much, giving it a very soggy bottom. Flavor was good though, and I don't mind a little messy dessert. All in all, I was a little disappointed with the meal. We got seated after about 10 minutes, and the waitresses, working in tandem took coffee ordered and then food orders and we did wait a bit long for the food, which was understandable given the crush. I worked 8 years in a breakfast joint in Chicago, so I get it. Food came. Generous was be an understatement. My house made corned beef hash was some of the best I've ever had--in a curl of crisp edges. Over easy egg had soft yolks, rye roast a smidgen cool. The special feta and spinach omelet my wife has was surprisingly light and very flavorful and my son's 2-2-2 (eggs, slices of ham, blueberry pancakes) was a contest between food and a 21 year old who weight trains. The boy, barely, won. Coffee was Greek diner coffee. During regular weekends, I'm told, it goes much more smoothly. Versus being packed with new students, parents and siblings.
