There is a secure door upon entry into the daycare, and inside the daycare, there is a child-proof gate as well. The staff here also do an excellent job cleaning and I am always impressed by how they can manage to keep the daycare so clean even when there are so many kids running around and doing so many activities! My 2-year-old daughter never came home with clothes soaked in food and that's because they are also careful about not getting food everywhere during mealtimes. Courtney's was already super clean before COVID, and after COVID, I must say I was even more impressed with their level of sanitation and cleanliness. They use EPA-grade, child-friendly sanitation that can put any parents' mind at ease. The hours and rates here are also what set this daycare apart from any other. I was a law student while I used Courtney's for my daughter, and the hours and rates were so convenient. My studies/classes usually last well into the evening and I usually have mornings off, so the timing worked so well here with Courtney's being open until 8 pm on weekdays and 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. The hours were also perfect for much-needed date nights with my partner! There are a wealth of toys and games for children of all ages, and it was seriously my daughter's favorite place to go! Every morning she would get super excited because she knew she was going to her little mini-Disneyland. The staff here don't just encourage passive play--during Mother's Day week, she came home with a new painting for mom each day and I was so touched at the level of detail and attention the staff here gives to each child! Last but certainly not least, the staff and owner here are the absolutely most caring, kind, and sweetest people I have ever met. Heather, Kaneisha, Kayla, Angela (and more) care about each and every one of their families and this was really important to us especially since this is not true of many other daycares. The fact that I haven't seen any staff turnover during the 1.5 years we were at Courtney's is a true testament to their caring and family-like staff. I refer all of my colleagues and friends at the law school with children to check out Courtney's because we know they will not be disappointed. We will miss everyone at Courtney's so much now that we moved out of state and I highly recommend any family who is looking for high quality and superb care for their children to check out Courtney's!

warning: only use this service if you want unreliable, undependable, and unavalable childcare to…read moreensure your most precious thing in your life is left standing at unopened doors when you have paid several weeks in advance for services they cannot render!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if no stars were available that is what i would rate this place. as i have to at least provide one to make a review, i am doing the minimum possible to ensure other families are not in the same conundrum that i am in at this time. i sent this to management today, 6/26/26, 9:40am via email given there is absolutely no alternatives to contact anyone when you arrive and they are not there: i request to be contacted by management immediately. this is unacceptable, completely unprofessional, and cannot be. i have had so much respect for the mission and vision of this operation since my son was born in 2019. knowing that we are trusting our children - our priceless treasures with you all, has been supreme in choosing to continually book services. that trust has been 100%, irrevocably broken. this is the third time since camp started last week that staff has been late. this is the first and the last time, however that no staff was present to receive my child at 8am or the other children and parents standing along the sidewalk. at 8:20 no phone response. no emails. no phone calls. absolutely nothing on facebook or instagram or the website. no sign. no update. nothing! no phone response. no alternatives for contact but the phone number on the door at the front desk where no one is! i arrived, as usual at 7:45, waited and continued to wait for opening. i come from pittsboro to chapel hill to cary everyday!!!!! at 8:24 i left and families were still waiting and i refused to continue this debaucle. i paid several full weeks in full and in advance to ensure my child would have the best care and the best summer experience while i am not available. i am, now, forced to pay double somewhere else safe for today that i trust to make it to work over an hour late! i backtracked! i lost time and gas and all respect for this place. i have just lost all probability to continue in a new position at work given this occurences at the start of a new job. i request full refund for time not used, including today. i am furious and disgusted that i trusted you all to make good on your services. i will never use, recommend, or do business with this organization again. i am not a person that posts like this, but this is absolutely essential for any parent considering this childcare option, camp, or service. do not do it!

Some of the individual staff here are fantastic!! We love Shae and always felt that she took care…read moreof our daughter like family. We also loved Randa and Ashley while they were still there and felt the same about them. However, there are two other staff members that are harsh with the children. I have witnessed children being yelled at by one teacher on many occasions. I brought this up and it was never resolved. The staff are not treated well. I've been told by staff that they have to chase their paychecks. They also are not paid a living wage even though the tuition rate for infants has gone up more than 50% in the past two years. Other daycares charging the same price pay their staff $15 an hour plus benefits. Some full time teachers here are paid under $10! I feel strongly that paying the caretakers for my child a fair wage and paying them on time every pay period is critical and a basic benefit, which unfortunately is not delivered here. Perhaps in part due to teacher turnover (quitting or being transferred to work in a new AMC facility), there was not consistent staffing in my daughter's room. I was told her new teacher was one person but consistently saw one of several other teachers rotating to care for her and her classmates. The lack of consistency in care is not ideal or good for child development. Some vacancies have been open for several months and new teachers still have not been hired to allow for consistent care for each classroom. Adding insult to injury, I left instructions for my child to never be given juice but have found juice in her cup several times. To me this is indicative of the administration not following care instructions and made me wonder whether my daughter was cared for in the way I instructed. This is a safety issue. This may be in part due to the rotation of teachers who are unaware of her dietary restrictions in her room. Parents with a child in the same class are charged different rates from each other. I was told on multiple occasions that I am paying a "discounted rate" but know from other friends with a child in my daughter's class that they pay lower rates than me. On top of that, I was told that my rate would be increasing by $45 per week on the same day I made a complaint. No one else that is paying my rate or lower was notified of a rate increase. This seems retaliatory for bringing a complaint to administration attention. Overall, the inconsistent application of tuition rates seems dishonest and unfair. In the most recent hurricane, we were not notified that daycare closed and only found out upon driving to daycare. Though the weather conditions felt safe to us, it seems irresponsible for administration to have risked our safety and our child's safety but not notifying us in advance if they felt the conditions were too unsafe to keep daycare open. On top of that, it was inconsiderate and is indicative of how they (do not) communicate on important issues that come up. In summary, some teachers harsh treatment of children, poor treatment of teachers by the administration, staffing issues, the lack of adherence to my care instructions for my daughters dietary requirements, poor communication with parents, and inconsistent application of tuition rates across attendees led us to remove our daughter from care at All My Children. I can't recommend them for childcare.

Not for sure where you got some of the information but let me clear the air. In most businesses when a person files a complaint , they will not know what happen. So even though you may think nothing happen the situation was address . As well to why a person is no longer employed. As far as staff being treated well sorry you feel that way. Though we may not have a Health and benefit plan(that the facility is locally own and doesn't qualify just yet)it is compensated in other areas. Just to name a few we have a life Insurace plan as well as an accidental plan because you know accidents happen. As far as salary you are paid based upon your education, raises and bonus are given based upon education performance and what are you doing to improve your craft. So if you come in entry level and give entry level performance than you will stay at your entry level position you have to want it and take advantage of it as well. There is also compensation on salary because in every state world wide we know teachers are not paid enough if the center provides the resources it is your responsibility to take advantage of it. I am sure you know Randa story, AMC provided the resources to go to school. There are also other programs through the state based on education you can get another source of income quarterly, but I am sure this information was not provided to you. As far as tuition, I am just trying to understand if you were already paying under the market how much should it have decrease. You were left at a grandfather price. In the state of NC you were actually paying school aged prices for your child. Asking anyone how much they pay a month is a violations of privacy. Some of the parents you may have had that conversation with most certainly qualified for subsidize care so yes they will pay differ from those who don't qualify. It's just like when she enters public school some kids will have free lunch some will not. Just like rent your neighbors can pay more or less than you so what was the problem. The staff are all native spanish speakers who provide childcare for babies to pre-K at their building conveniently located near UNC on S Columbia (hours 7:30-5:30 M-F). My child has been going here for over a year and has been picking up spanish fairly quickly. It is like having eight hours of spanish lessons every day. It also seems to be a good sign that many of the parents who bring their children here have been doing so since they were babies. Not a lot of turnover. The teachers are all very friendly and loving and speak enough english to communicate with all the non-spanish speaking parents. While the actual classroom spaces are somewhat small (hence only four stars), there is a very large fenced play area in back (el parque) where the kids go to romp and play once or twice a day when it isn't raining. Typically they'd be outside 4:00-5:30 in the afternoon. Quite frequently if I happen to show up for pickup on the early side, I'll end up waiting a while because the kids don't want to stop playing with each other.

I gave them 3 stars instead of 2 because the teachers were so caring for him. I think that if you have never experienced other daycares before and your child is not as high-energy as my youngest, then SFF might be okay for you. The daycare my son had in OH was outstanding, so I think in contrast SFF had some room for improvement. Here are my thoughts regarding pros and cons. Pro - Obviously your child learns Spanish, which has a plethora of benefits. - The teachers are very caring and they put him with a bi-lingual primary teacher since he just speaks English, as do my husband and I. - There is a diverse socioeconomic range of students/families. I value this because I worry about my kids being around only affluent people living in Chapel Hill. Cons - As one of the other reviewers said, they have them in a small room most of the day. There is a huge garden area for them to play, but they essentially have no play equipment other than some bikes. They have a small playset, but it is taped off and can not be used. So what I observed with my son while he was there was basically him just milling around. He could have dug in dirt and climbed on the stage, but most of the time he was just wandering around aimlessly because there were so many kids he couldn't really run-- and he loves to run! - In the classroom it seemed like a lot of free play. Which is important, but in the entire time he was there, my son never produced any artwork except a cup for father's day. At his other daycare he was daily coloring, painting or doing art projects, which he loves. I saw the teacher read once to small group of students, but other than that, I just see my son milling around when I look in the room before I pick him up. I am not sure they have any sort of curriculum. This is really why I looked elsewhere for care. If my son is not busy and bored most of the day, it is impossible to wear him down as night. We'll take him to the park and play/interact with him at home, but he has so much physical and intellectual energy (e.g. needs to paint, needs to build something or be stimulated in some fashion) that it is crippling when you are trying to do things like make dinner, clean up around the house or interact with my other son because my 2yo will just breakdown (and we are not push overs). At his OH daycare we had a teacher who was only there for a short time who did no activities with him and he had the same behavior as he did while he was at SFF. This is fairly specific to my son, although I think it is not uncommon for young kids, and especially boys to be this high energy. - My son had a black eye that I noticed on pick up. It was difficult to identify what happened and I am used to the other daycare that filed an incident report anytime a child was hit in the head or had a significant injury. - With other the OH daycare they have a daily sheet that discusses things like what they did that day or how they ate (e.g. ate everything, some...). SFF does not have this and it made it difficult to understand what if anything my son was doing in the day and if he was just really hungry (which he ALWAYS was when I picked him up) or didn't like his lunch that day. - The parking and just getting in and out of the center is difficult. There are not enough spaces after the staff parks and usually only the handicap spaces are free. They need to repair their parking area. Overall, we really liked the immersion and a lot of the benefits of the center, but these benefits were not really enough to have our son mill around all day. It just didn't work for us.
