We were ripped off by Enoc Herrera at Compadre who took our money and never provided a valid policy. We drove around uninsured for months and had our vehicle registrations cancelled. If you have also been ripped off, you can file a complaint on the California Department of Insurance website. insurance.ca.gov. Together we can stop this thief. read more

Every time I call to make a payment or even show up at their office they are always closed or never answer and I call and show up during business hours. The man that answers sometimes always says he'll call back to take payment info but never does but they're quick to cancel your coverage . So as of now they probably will terminate my coverage because it's already past due and it's due to them not answering their phone or taking my payment info and processing it . After doing some research for new car insurance, I found Compadre Insurance and hired them for my insurance needs. After 2 years of being with them I have nothing to complaint about. I have been doing business with Compadre Insurance for over a year now. I obtained a personal vehicle and a business policy with them. They gave me the best possible rates and have lowered since the start of service. They are friendly, fast, and efficient. I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to change brokers. read more

Horrible!!!! I came to make a payment and they have hours from Monday- Friday 9:30-6:30...... I went on a Tuesday at 10 am...... They were closed. I called the numbers on the window and the man said he will be here in 7 minutes. I call again after maybe 15 min, and he doesn't answer but sends me a txt he will be here in 8 min because he was at the border. I was outside till past 11. The only reason I waited because I need to make the payment and get paperwork for my work. I also asked if he had another office I can go to and he said no. I am switching insurance agency this is just unprofessional. He did give me a discount but honestly I can fine better customer service and prices at a different agency. Just. Ridiculous. I usually don't leave reviews but this is unacceptable. read more

Worst experience ever! Brokers are unreliable and never return your calls back. I would not recommend this agency. Go to professionals. I bought from them a car insurance on January 2014. They stated The cost for the insurance would be $99 dollars a month. To begin they request a payment of $200 dollars (we where told this would cover our first and last month of insurance). Couple of days ago I directly spoke with the Insurance and said they only requested from Compadre Insurance $111.57 to begin. No one knows where the rest of our money went. We have been calling them several times they promise they are working on our case and will return our calls within the next few hours. This has never happened. We literally have to chase them down every time we need to speak to them. We are obviously looking for a new insurance. read more

Hands down, the worst experience I ever had with a company. The company's advertisement says something along the lines of "we are a family!" but the experience we had was "family at its worst". I would much rather have had a professional relationship! Starting situation: We bought a car insurance and were told we would get a discont for certain criteria we met. Great! We pay the annual fee in full, receive the provisional insurance card soon after but to our surprise a bill follows. I call up the broker and am told that the insurance comapny needs proof that we indeed fulfil the criteria. Fair enough. But alas, with this little bill an odyssey began, culminating in us cancelling the insurance midway and changing the provider. To put a very long story in an admittedly still large nutshell: I sent our proving document to the broker but we kept receiving reminder bills, in the end, for months. Each time I called to see what was happening, I was told either that the broker would talk to the insurance company or that he had already talked to them and everything was or would be in order. At some point he told me that the document he sent by fax was not legible. I had sent in the documents by e-mail, certainly he could have - assuming that for some unfathomable reason the insurance company does not accept e-mail attachments - sent it in by post and more importantly, why now? Up to this point I simply took the broker at his word and also thought that it was his job to solve the issue. When things strated to sound fishy, though, I took matters into my hands, calling up the insurance company myself and it turns out: no record of the broker calling them. Mind you, the initial phone call I had made regarding the first reminder (upon which I was advised to contact my broker) was on record with date and time. To top everything off: the discount as the broker had explained to us did not exist! Verdict: The broker of Compadre Insurance Services was utterly unprofessional. He was not only unreliable (hardly ever called back despite promising to do so or me leaving a call-back request on his answering machine) but also gave us false information about the insurance he was selling to us, essentially voiding the discount he applied to our payment. Though I always give others the benefit of doubt (and very patiently so) I dare add that he was most likely not telling the truth about the many contacts he claimed to have made with the insurance company to solve the issue. Not only were there no records left, the issue at hand was simply far from resolved - how could it be, if the type of discount he claimed simply did not exist? - quite the opposite of what the broker referred to as "it's all okay". So spare yourself the grey hair and the $100 broker fee, stay away from Compadre Insurance Services. The bad experience over months cannot qualify as a bad day or glitch - its consistently bad service. And last but not least, a five star review by the broker himself just doesn't seem very honest (rightfully filtered by yelp). read more

"You do not" want to have them as your agent!!!!!!! They charge your credit card months after you cancel. They lie right to your face with another lie! An issue came up in my billing and when i went in to have the problem taken care of yourself i was given poor customer service but because they assured me it was taken care of I paid the rude agent no mind. And chalked it up to him having a bad day. However the payment issue was not resolved, I called to speak to the manager and tell him what happened and he said hed meet me at the office. When i arrived there was no one there anything I waited nearly an hour for someone to show up and it wasnt even the manager! So unprofessional! read more

very unprofessional company insurance, I had many problems with this company, one example is that my monthly payment was due on the first of every month & sometimes they would charged me the 31st of the month, without giving me any notice, so that started giving me problems because sometimes I would deposit my money until the first, & because they would it charged me the 31st, my bank would charged me 35 dlls fee. read more
