Reservation cancelled at the last second leaving me high and dry Came up to Seattle for work and two weekends of riding, both were booked through Evo/Compass. The first weekend went great with them meeting me at the trail head and being flexible with pickup time. The day before my Saturday rental I got a cancellation notification from Compass letting me know I no longer had a reservation leaving me high and dry as no other shops had a rental available on such short notice. read more

Loved our experience with this outfit on the Iron Horse Trail, however renting bikes for Duthie Hill left me less enthused. The set up was easy, we made last minute plans and needed two more bikes delivered to Duthie Hill. Perfect they were already delivering some there at a time that worked for us. The price was steep. Over $300 for two bikes. They were top of the line full suspension. We rode for about an hour and our guests had had enough. We tried calling but got no answer. Finally getting ahold of Compass, it then took them 45 more minutes to come get the bikes. We waited in the lot for over an hour. The system at Rattlesnake Ledge where you lock the bikes is much better. Disappointing service for top$$$ read more

So much fun! My husband and I did the snowshoe and Dru Bru tour and had a lot of fun. Our guide, Tom, drove us up to the pass and showed us around the area, and even showed us other places we could explore if we chose to come back on our own. Next we went to Dru Bru brewery, where we got to pick a beer of our choice, and learned all about Dru Bru and their brewing process. After the tour, we got a sampler of all their most popular beers. Tips: the office has a large free public parking lot nearby, as well as a bathroom. Go check it out! read more

I rented a couple brand new 2017 Giant full suspension bikes today and met the bikes at Duthie Hill where COA delivered then for me! I had a great time and got to see the Seattle area wilderness the best way I know how to, on a Mountain bike. Luke and Tom were very helpful in making sure my friend and I got the right bikes. Compass organized an offsite team building event for a group of 110 people from my office. In the morning we had the choice of 5 different activities (mountain biking, trail biking, long hike, short hike, cooking class), and in the afternoon they organized a BBQ at Lake Sammamish State Park. I chose mountain biking, and was really impressed how friendly and knowledgable their staff was. This was a really complicated event, and they executed everything flawlessly!!! read more

Rented two mountain bikes from Compass this weekend, since a friend was visiting from out of town and needed a bike for a ride, and I'm in the market for a new bike so thought I'd try one out. Luke showed me how to adjust the fork and shock to tune the suspension to my weight and riding style....and delivered them to my house. Both bikes were in well tuned, shifting and braking perfectly. The rates were reasonable for the type of bikes we were renting (high-end Marin MTB's) and the customer service was great. I'd recommend Compass to anyone looking to demo nice bikes before purchase or rentals for those visiting from out of town. read more

After calling around a bit I was referred to Compass, about an hour later Luke met me at the Duthie parking lot with the bike all setup and ready to go. My son took a summer camp here a few weeks back and it was the best camp he said he has ever been at. He is 10 and it was a mix of mountain biking, hiking and doing cool things like jumping into lakes and rivers. He said the instructors spent a lot of time teaching them how to ride properly to go up and down the trials and they encouraged them to test him limits in a safe an encouraging way. Luke Talbott the owner of this company discriminates against those with medical conditions. He has no regard for State and Federal Law and thinks that his company guidelines take precedent over LAW. When approached on this and asked to speak about it via phone cordially he told me he didn't have time to talk to me. His team illegally asked for information and his reason behind the ask was in case other parents or campers asked. When I provided him legal documentation and the WA RCW showing documentation was not needed from me, he cancelled my son's registration for camp and told me it was because I didn't provide him information. I have worked with many companies who have compassion for others and I have been able to help educate them on the matter. Luke would not even grant me the courtesy to speak to me on the phone and instead said it didn't matter what information I provided my son's exemption would NOT be honored. I don't typically give bad reviews but when you blatantly discriminate and lack standard customer service I will share that. Know better, do better Compass. read more

Our family of rented five mountain bikes from Compass to ride the Iron Horse trail near Snoqualmie Summit. My wife and I had done this before with another couple using their bikes and our combined vehicles. Yes, it cost less supplying our own pretty good bikes. But this time, without that couple's bikes, and considering our own rack carries only four bikes, well, you get the idea. Using Compass was a great, hassle-free and pleasurable experience. Its bikes were very nice and perfectly suited to the terrain. I highly recommend outsourcing the bike/transport challenge to Compass. I'm glad I did. read more

What can I say, but, WOW. While in town for a business trip, I had little time to actually plan out a detailed excursion. Luke, took care of my girlfriend and I by completely managing everything. We headed out to Duthie Park and had an awesome time. Mid-way through the ride, I busted by chain clean off. Luke, stopped his day and came BACK out to the park and repaired the chain himself! We called up Compass on a whim on a weekend morning looking to rent a mountain bike for the day for my girlfriend whom I was trying to introduce to mtn biking. Luke got back to us right away and was friendly and super accommodating despite us giving him no advance notice. In short time he met up with us and helped her get a bike tuned and sized up. He provided sound info areas to ride, gave us maps and offered helpful introductory advice on mtn biking to Jessica. We had our own transportation, but he was willing to move and pick up the bikes for us. Really nice guy, no condescension whatsoever, which can be common when dealing with rentals. He made everything easy for us to have a day of adventure. Luke even helped me with an adjustment on my bike and recommended a few local mechanics for future tune-ups. We wanted to rent three mountain bikes to go on a adventure a bit off from the Seattle area on a visit to Washington. I was having such a hard time with other companies trying to work out the statistics, their policies and get a decent price. It was really getting frustrating and I thought I might have to scrap the whole plan. I was so relieved to get the name of this company and so thrilled with our experience. I am completely impressed with this company. Luke was just amazing and so very flexible and accommodating to ensure we had a great time. He helped to make it the highlight of our trip.
