Laura is the best Massage Therapist ever. My migraines make my neck very tight and sore and I always feel much better after a session.

Why rely on pain medicine when I can simply reduce the chronic stiffness that makes me so painful?…read moreI'd rather have a body that wants to get up and move, even if it means I have to do some work to get it. Having been through two decades of conventional physical therapy and a decade of Rolfing, I still had so much tightness in my joints that I wanted to do something other than start another round of conventional PT. I started out with a half hour mini session. I was taught three basic exercises. Even those three could take me far, but I wanted even more. What Eric does during the appointments is teach me the somatic exercises which I do on my own at home. These exercises are to be done gently and slowly. I find them so relaxing that I am yawning as I am doing them. Yoga *never* relaxed me that much! Eric also gives my elongation of muscles a boost during the one on one sessions by giving my limbs something to push against, guiding me into positions that are specific to my muscular issues. I have seen remarkable increases in mobility, and there still is room for improvement, so I am looking forward to feeling more mobile! I have significantly less muscle and joint pain, and perhaps that is also the reason my fatigue seems less. I'm sleeping better. In only a few weeks I have seen so much improvement that I'm going to stick with "Somatic" exercises, and give up on the antiquated idea of stretching muscles. ELONGATING muscles via pandiculation seems to be the way to go! Eric seems very dedicated to helping me. He's eager to cover as much as possible in each two hour session. He supplies me with a list of the exercises with photographs to help me remember how to do them at home. The nice thing is that I don't have to do everything perfectly. Actually, some variation in how the exercises are done from day to day is a good thing, in order to reach a slightly different area each time. I'm letting my body tell me when and how it wants to do the exercises and I think that's putting me back in touch with my inner pussy cat. You see, the pandiculation is how cats and other animals can stay so supple. I'm glad I found Eric and decided to give his ideas a try.

I highly recommend Eric Cooper to anyone I know that mentions they are experiencing muscle aches or…read morechronic pains. Eric has healing power and I don't mean that mystically (although that might be true too). What I mean is that he isn't like your average massage therapist that just rubs you head-to-toe the exact same as their last client. Eric is very good at listening to you, figuring out what ails you, studying your body to diagnose the source of the pain, then working through different techniques to put things right again. I have had two visits with Eric, each one on a different chronic pain issue. Before seeing him I saw several massage therapists and they all would rub me and I'd feel good in the moment but I'd leave and be back to where I started within a day or two later. Eric takes a much more caring approach toward your individual needs and delivered lasting results. I wasn't able to run without pain, some days even walk without pain, because of a bad ankle sprain and a chronic neurokinetic issue that arose from that. It was two years of thinking it was an injury that would never heal, dealing with it in ways that didn't really help, until I met Eric and after one session and following through with his advice and "homework", I was back to running within a couple weeks. I still am so grateful for his help and thankful that I met him. Eric is very friendly, comforting and caring. I met Eric at a social event and was rubbing my bad ankle (in a fashion recommended by a different therapist, it felt good to do but never really reduced the pain for longer than an hour at most). He saw me doing this and asked what was going on. His warmness and concern for essentially a stranger was very admirable. He talked to me for a bit and even did a little hands-on demonstration of some myofascial trigger point release for me right then and there. Not only did he help soothe my pain, he taught me how I could do it myself and why/how it's helpful. It's like that saying, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime". Well, Eric not only helps you but he teaches you how to help you, which is far, far more valuable. Eric is very dedicated to learning effective therapy modalities and mastering his techniques. He has an enthusiasm and passion for continued learning to improve his skills through studying different therapy techniques. He is very scientifically minded in his understanding of the human body, especially the nervous system, the skeletal system, the muscular system, and the way they work together. His understanding of neurokinetics was extremely helpful for me and sets him above your typical massage therapist. He has traveled far and wide to study some of the best, research-proven therapies to be able to provide the best therapy possible. His constant pursuit for learning is impressive and each time I have seen him he was enthusiastic to share his new knowledge with me, which I really appreciate and look forward to each time. Eric is great at communicating and educating. To start, he's a good listener and will take time to understand your individual pains, concerns, needs and questions. During the session he is like a detective, working through different techniques to relax tight muscles and identify the source of pains or imbalances. He is always patient and receptive to questions along the way as well. At the end of the session he gives a review of the tips he shared through the session for "homework" for yourself to improve and take better care of yourself. He provides photos of the results as well as pictures of the important muscles to focus on along with the activities/stretches you can do at home. Eric is passionate about helping people. Each time I've seen him he strikes me as someone who truly cares about his patients. He remembers our previous sessions and my previous injuries and really does care to help provide long-lasting results through his therapy. After each session I get an email from him checking up on my progress. His passion and care really make a difference. I couldn't recommend anyone more than Eric Cooper!

I've been a patient of Dr. Ferro's for years, and he and the entire office has always treated me,…read moreand everyone I know who has gone here, with kindness, considerateness, and the utmost of professional care. my pain issues go back decades; Dr. Ferro is the only person who has been able to treat it effectively. Eventually I got a spinal cord stimulator with cervical leads; these stimulators are MRI compatible, and have been for years. It's been miraculous in its efficacy. I still struggle with low back pain but Dr. Ferro has been treating this with very good results for some time. he's absolutely the best when it comes to diagnosing and treating and I trust him, and his staff completely.

Went here for years. Finally let him implant a spinal neurostimulator in my spine. Couple years…read morelater I developed other spine problems. Dr. Ferro just acted like that's impossible because I have the stimulator. He had me get an x-ray and said that the problem is my hip, not my spine. They then set me up with an Orthopedic Surgeon (according to them, the best Ortho Surgeon in the State. The Ortho Surgeon look at the x-rays and took his own and examined me. He told me that their is nothing wrong with my hip and that the problem is my lumbar spine. (this was my issue for getting the spinal neurostimulator in the first place) I called back to Dr. Ferro's office and left a message and waited for a return call. (this is the only way to get in contact with them) I said "The Orthopedic Surgeon says that my hip is fine and that my lumbar spine is the problem" 2 weeks later I called again and left another message just saying I haven't heard back from the first. 3 days layer I get a call back from one of Ferro's office staff. She said "Dr. Ferro said to tell you that you need to find a surgeon" I then asked For what, my back? Or my hip?" She just hung up. After that they would not return my calls. I even stopped in and they were too busy to talk to me.. Left me hanging after I had been a patient for around 10 years. From my experience and the experiences from others Dr. Ferro is really big on a spinal stimulator being the magic cure all. And once he puts it in your problems are gone and he is done with you. The only way to get ahold of Ferro is to call and leave a message to get a call back. It's been like this even before my ordeal. Many times I would have to call repeatedly over a couple weeks before someone would call back. One time the staff person who called said that she had been trying to call me back for a week and couldn't get an answer. Well: #1. You reached me so I know you are calling the right number. #2. You can't lie about that anymore. When you call a cell phone, whether you get an answer or not the phone records the number that called. In that time period I had plenty of calls, but none from them. #3. Even if I didn't answer not only is the number recorded, but it also goes to voice mail where you can leave a message. I had none. So, since cell phones were invented you can't get away with the "I have been trying to reach you excuse". Also, be aware that once you get a spinal stimulator implant you can no longer have an MRI done. Dr. Ferro told me that it not a problem because he can tell as much from an x-ray or CT scan as an MRI. Wrong, I am slowly losing the use of my right leg.. I am about to have my spinal stimulator removed as I have a serious problem now that 8 Doctors and Surgeons have told me they can't properly diagnose me and won't even try surgery without MRI images. I even called down to the Cleveland Clinic and they told me "Don't even bother making the trip down to them if I can't have an MRI done.

When I was taken back for my appt one of the nurses lectured me about being late. I explained and apologized and that was not enough for her she cont to lecture me and insisted I was putting the dr behind. I apologized to the dr himself and he laughed and said you weren't that late it's ok it happens. The next appt I was early for and the same nurse gave me attitude when I couldn't remember the exact date of something and seemed to be impatient and inconvenienced that I had to look at my calendar to confirm it. Though I was early I waited for a half hr before being taken back. No one apologized for my wait nor did I lecture them about being on time. My follow up appt I was early and waited for a half hr in the waiting room then another 20 min in the exam room. To the nurse who thinks she is the queen of that place, you're not. Back down. Know your place. Get off your horse. We don't deserve to be disrespected by someone in a place that is just as guilty of tardiness as the patients can be. I wish I had gotten your name because it was just you that was rude both times and it's not fair to the other nurses and staff who acted professionally and friendly.
