I started out at a rate of $469 per month and now 2 years later they have just made the 6th price increase in that time span and is now at $749 per month. The facility is nice and clean and I have no issues there, but can no longer afford to stay. A 60% increase over 2 years is extreme. read more

BEWARE of this place. It's impossible to get to because all of the access roads are closed. More importantly, they rip off their customers and take advantage of people who have fallen on hard times. They will raise the price of your storage unit and hold your belongings hostage while claiming to be Christian. read more

They raise rates every six months just because they can! Building is supposed to be climate controlled but it's always very warm in there in the summer. They clearly aren't spending the money on AC! read more

BREAK IN !!! not once but twice from what I found out. This place was just recently broken into and many units were hit. Compass was so kind to give us a new lock and then a middle finger. Did not care. Then I found out from the police that this happened there before. Long store short... don't store you stuff here or if you door, make sure it's stuff your ok getting stolen. read more

Well, now because of the construction it is impossible to get to and forget keeping your boat here with the terrible roads... they went way up on the price without ever telling me in advance. What used to be a great place is now an over priced, hard to get to, just another storage company.... what a Bummer! I have been looking for a place to store my 24' wakeboard boat for a while, but most places don't have a tall enough door for my tower to fit through without having to get out and take it down. My old storage unit was too low and it was a huge pain to deal with. This place has all concrete roads, no rock. All the warehouse units have no gaps on the bottom for critters to get in and the water drainage is great. No water issues at all in my unit and it's been storming for the last 2 weeks. The woman at the office was very nice and professional. I was in and out within probably 30 minutes or so and had everything done. The prices are very reasonable and there are clean bathrooms which is a huge plus for people that spend a lot of time at their storage units. Is definitely recommend this place to anyone. My unit is very nice, clean, and it's not far from Ray Hubbard, which is perfect for me! 15'X50' is a ton of space for $325/month. read more

This is my second time with these guys and once again they beat most prices for climate control storage units. Not sure why the fuss over prices going up. I have yet to beat their prices with any other storage units that are as good as theirs. You get what you pay for. They have cameras everywhere, everything is on cement no dirt or mud to deal with, all units are clean, 12 foot to 15 foot fence all the way around with alarms and the customer service is the best I have ever had anywhere. Ashley is not reliable( the on-site manager). She has told me lies after lies. Promised on several occasions to return my phone calls and I wouldn't have to reach to her, that was a lie too. It's upsetting that I've been a loyal customer and never late on either of my units and I've been doing business for 3 or more years there. Simple questions regarding the back to back increases on one of my units. She has talked to me and assured me after getting with her gm that we will fix this concern and they both agreed that I was paying too much for my unit. Well, that's been 30 days ago and since then I leave messages, no return phone calls, I've spoken with her since and she stated she will call me back and never does. It's extremely aggravating and feeling less than appreciated and disrespected all at the same time. Every opportunity I get I will share my experience with Compass Self Storage and share within my network and other people that I run across relocating to this area. At this point Ashley I got the message loud and clear and I am not expecting for you or your general manager to address my concern it's evident that's not going to happen. read more

Ditto to every negative review...BS to any positive reviews...Compass Storage implements a unique business plan, which by law, should be revealed up front. Compass rental agreement is not a contract...except each month...therefore, based on rental capacity they can/will raise your rent to their advantage monthly, using your reluctance to re-store/move your stuff elsewhere as a fulcrum. I experienced 3 raises in a row, among others, in 12 months of $30 each...began at $330 and now $480...while new rental for same unit was still only 319.00...the explanation is that they are a symbiotic business with U-Haul as well as a U-Haul destination facility, therefore, they must have vacancies in order to support the U-Haul portion...they will not reveal this when they rent you the storage...and no one, even at their headquarters in Ohio, will discuss this with you.
