I boarded the bus from Marriott Woodlands waterway and found it easy to park in the self park and walk across. I checked my bag in and boarded the bus. They check your license and give your seat assignment. Our bus loaded quickly and departed right at 215pm. Makayla was our attendant and she was very nice and passed the tray of snacks around several times. She got us soft drinks, bottled water, offered a fleece blanket, eye mask, ear plugs and a variety of other things you might need on a road trip. It was like taking a first class flight. You could order adult beverages if you want for a charge. The ride was smooth and seats comfortable. I didn't use the restroom but many people did. The bus only seats 22 people so it was super quiet. They ask that you speak in library voice. I don't think I will ever drive again. We were dropped off at the Doubletree at Love Field (DAL) and I took an uber to pick up a rental. Upon return, I had the same great experience. I was early and the bus was a little late but they sent a message. We made it back in good time regardless. Amanda and Avery were our attendants. They also offer you a warm towel before departure and a chocolate once you get off the bus. Excellent service!!

I stayed in their smallest room, which literally was like a pod with a bedroom and an open bathroom set up. Everything was super clean, and the toilet even had a bidet while the there also was a monsoon showerhead. Check in was a breeze as you pay three days prior to your stay. Check-in is also at the bar right when you walk in. Yes there's a bar and they serve coffee all day too. It really is designed for the professional who is staying in Dallas for a short time or just a single person making a stop here. The bar was great because I would get takeout for dinner, sit have a drink to myself, take a beer upstairs and have my dinner in my room. It was quiet and peaceful and I really would stay here again. I also want to make a mention of the location. It's on Main Street and there's a few things that are pretty walkable. Deep Ellum isn't far, as well as the JFK memorial. I walked around a lot, and it was nice to discover what was around this hotel.

One thing we did not realize is that the rooms have no windows, which can definitely make things feel claustrophobic with two people in such a small room. When we asked about this we were informed there was only one room in the entire hotel with a window. We also had issues with the air conditioning not working, which again, in such a small room proved to be an issue. We realized their AC units are energy efficient, which is likely the reason for the issue as well as the overhead showered not getting past luke warm. Fine for the price, but wish there was more transparency on the lack of windows and more focus on the small details (like functional appliances and hot water) to enhance the quality of our stay.

If you're going to an NBA or an NHL game, there's no other hotel you'll want to stay at. The arena is literally W's neighbor. The decor is another positive. It's definitely a big hotel that feels like a boutique hotel. The entire property is super cute but at least one aspect of my room wasn't very functional. The fine: hotel employees are professional. Not very warm or friendly but they're fine. The not so fine: the room is very cute and boutique but the shower doesn't have a traditional door. Imagine more of a partition. Luckily, I was staying alone but if I were going to stay with anyone, it would be a significant other. My overall take is, that if location is important to you and you have the resources to stay here, then stay!

My seat in section 310 was legitimately about 500 steps to my bed in room 1010. I've never had a more convenient experience for a sporting event. You can legitimately throw a baseball from the front door to the W to the front door of the AAC. However, I woke up the next morning with the bill emailed to me and parking came to $60.62. It was valet, so I tipped $5. $65.62 to park my car from about 6pm on a Friday until about 9am on a Saturday, in Dallas, is clinically insane. If I could have done this over, I absolutely would have just stayed in another hotel and taken a cheap Uber ride over. As for the hotel itself, I have a couple small gripes: -The shower not having a door is just dumb. I was cold even while sitting directly under the water stream, when it was as hot as it could be. And the water pressure on the rain shower heads is always bad - this was not an exception. -The bed and the pillows were a bit soft for my liking, but I recognize that's personal preference. -There was no way to completely close the curtains, so there was always a sliver of light peeking in. I tried for a long time to get the curtains to fully blackout, but I failed. Overall, I did enjoy the convenience of basically zero commute to the arena, but it deeply pains my soul to pay that much for parking.

It seems the locals like to cruise the streets with their loud mufflers starting around 9pm EVERY night continuing into the wee hours of the a.m. We were able to using a white noise app on our phones and slept well. We spent the rainy Saturday in the comfortable bed reading and watching tv. We were going to park behind the hotel in a paid parking lot but decided to pay for Valet Parking once we arrived because of weather forecasts. The entire hotel staff were the friendliest we have encountered, including the Valet Parking Staff who also assisted us to our room. The price for Valet Parking was listed as $50 per day but we were actually charged $60 plus taxes. Our car was well guarded as we found out when my husband needed to get something out of our car during our stay! The room was clean and very spacious with a small kitchen. I was disappointed there wasn't a bathtub but the shower was very nice with more than enough hot water. You can only access the elevator using your room key which is a great safety feature. They offer free snacks in the lobby including fruit, soft drinks, chips, cereal and other items. There is a Starbucks attached to the hotel! The free hot breakfast was very good. A large park was just a 5 min walk from the hotel where we walked out pets. It had a playground for kids, a dog park where pets could run off leash (we didn't use) and plenty of green area to walk your pet(s). We chose this hotel not only because it was pet friendly but it was within walking distance of The Book Depository Museum and Dealey Plaza, and The Dallas World Aquarium. We enjoyed walking the streets at night exploring and looking for restaurants and places for snacks, which were plentiful. The first night we came upon Uno Mas Tex Mex just two blocks over on Main St and it was delicious. When we left we realized we were next to the Giant Eyeball. It wasn't something on my bucket list but it was beautifully lit up in the night surrounded by blooming flowers. There was a 7-eleven, CVS and a McDonalds nearby as well as plenty of other choices for all types of food - Seafood, Steaks, Italian, Asian, sweets, Bakeries, and Coffee. We highly recommend the Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Dallas for its dog friendly clean rooms, security, attentive staff and location.

I didn't get in because I wasn't sure whether it was a saltwater pool, but I still enjoyed relaxing and meeting some new people. The scenery is beautiful, and there was a nice breeze on this Monday. They also have happy hour specials from 4-8 PM, which is a plus. The guacamole was really good, but the cocktail was pretty basic. With Texas summers being as hot as they are, I'd love to see more fresh, hydrating juices used in the drinks to make them feel a little more elevated. The service was good, and the staff was friendly. I'd definitely come back...mainly for the atmosphere, the views, and a relaxing afternoon.

Very highly recommend! We did not eat at the hotel restaurant as there are top tier restaurants all around this district and everything is walking distance. The hotel also offers free car service which we did not use as we preferred to walk in this beautiful sunny weather.
