Also, I would like to say that Prestige urgent care is awesome. Anytime I've called the receptionist at the front desk have always answered my questions or if I had a question for my doctor, they gave the message to the doctor and got back to me just like they said they would. The medical assistance that have called me back to answer questions have all been nothing but wonderful. For this reason, I decided to join the monthly membership. From their office staff to the billing to the upper management conflict resolution, they are incredibly incompetent and each person you talk to (when you can get through their maze of their call in phone tree instructions) tells you a different story. Frankly, I think the entire organization is an elaborate scam to bilk millions in insurance payments and that is why they don't care about customer complaints. I switched insurance companies in Jan 25 and had one installment payment of $35 on my Cpap machine. They didn't switch the billings to my new insurance and then said that I because I switched insurance, it voided my previous payments and I had to pay for the full amount of the Cpap. I disputed this and asked to speak to supervisor and I was connected to a Daniel Fesler in Feb 2025, who agreed that should not have happened and he would make sure that my new insurance would be billed. Despite numerous calls to him to follow up, nothing ever happened. However, the worst thing they did was that since according to them, I had an outstanding balance on my account, they sent that to a collection agency and I have been harassed by the collection agency (and accruing late fees) for the last two months! I called him again and he promised he would address the situation and speak to his supervisor, Corey in Redding CA and have him call me. Never heard from him. Daniel said Corey " said he called and left a message". I never got it and asked to have him call me again. Never heard from him. I called Daniel after receiving more collection agency threats and he promised again, that he'd resolve the billing issues and offered to fed ex me Cpap supplies, which I hadn't been allowed to order as my account was "delinquent" for payment. 10 days later, nothing has arrived. Nothing that he told me he would do was every followed through and I just wonder how Apria can stay in business with such utter incompetence and shocking customer service. Everyone wonders why our healthcare in the US is so expensive. I think Apria is a great example of what is wrong with our healthcare system -- extremely expensive, bad accounting and poor customer service. Signed: A frustrated customer.
