Compassus Sedona has terrible management, and they show zero compassion. Pick another hospice company please! Compassus is only about making money, they don't care about the patient.

I two cases I'm aware of they made patients worse by above actions, or inaction. Last straw is NO transfer of care and no phone or letter stating they quit. I Found that out through insurer. I have had other experiences with hospices, all of them positive, but this one excelled. The care was extraordinarily competent and respectful. As family, we were cared for right along side the dying person. Best of all, this hospice works on a sliding scale thanks to generous donors, and my mom, who had few resources, got world class care at a price that she could afford. I can't say enough about Verde Valley Hospice and will always be deeply grateful to the goodness experienced at such a difficult time in my life.

When he was unable to progress they kindly encouraged we consider hospice services. I was in denial but it was the kindest thing to do. The hospice services were also top notch. We had Amber and Christie for most of the time. They ensured he was comfortable and helped me learn how to be the best caregiver I could be and helped me with the hardest part of our lives. Rocky was also incredibly helpful and kind. Last but not least we had Lucy the CNA with both services. She was incredibly kind and patient and Steve felt very comfortable with her. I would not recommend it…read more 1. Food is not healthy, (the caregivers got my mom's food wrong every other day) 2. Med techs not trained well enough 3. The med tech would get my mother's medication wrong too often (nurse communication issue) 4. No consistency with staff (caregivers or med techs) 5. The main nurse does not talk to hospice nurse (communication breakdown) -programming great -amazing view -hire a private caregiver for consistency (biggest recommendation!)
