It had been almost a year since we last boarded but Ethan helped us get acclimated to the new policies and was super accommodating, even working with me on pick-up when my return flight was delayed. A true life-saver. All the staff are always kind and helpful and they really love on the animals, which I appreciate. They also regularly update with photos and emails to keep you in the loop which is very reassuring. Loki loves it there and is always wiped out when she returns. (She's been napping all day. Very clearly a happy girl ).

A little long but it's been nothing less than eventful with this place. I had hight hopes for this…read moreplace as the hours are so convenient for our family's busy schedules. Unfortunately, this place was a HUGE disappointment and had a huge negative impact on our pup. Long story short -- Everything here is a sales grab. The few girls care for the animals but the "managers" and men there are just there for the commission of your packages. I had a whole conversation about their unethical sales pitching with the employee while picking up my dog lol. It's "how they keep the place open" - the employee's words, not mine. Astounding. Said employee also asked what I did for a living because I questioned their sales pitch tactics -- I'm in sales. Also, If you need their VIP services for your unspayed or neutered pup, please spend your money elsewhere!! Before committing to a membership, we did a trial day and spent hundreds on drop in days, grooming, and overnight boarding to see if it was a good fit for our high energy pup. Our dog is not neutered and we don't plan on getting him neutered so we chose their VIP rooms. His breed is also extremely high energy and they promised they could accommodate. I also inquired about training multiple times and they kept saying the trainer would contact me. Everything went great after those few visits, they seemed caring and said he was a great fit for a membership so we end up signing up. Then everything went downhill. Upon the first day of the membership, our dog all of a sudden had behavior issues and needed to be picked up. In the middle of my work day I call the shift manager, and he states that if we want our dog to stay, he needs training ... (from their same trainer that I've inquired 3x about before committing to a membership, still haven't heard back). I asked why this wasn't communicated ever before committing to a membership and they didn't have an answer. I informed them that I would've paid for training before committing to a membership if they would've let me know that there were any issues. Our dog went a couple of more times until they could finally get me in touch with the trainer, 6 visits later. Actually I had lost complete trust at this facility. To add insult to injury, I was able to speak to one of their actual workers that is with the dogs and she let me know that our dog is only let out for about 10 minutes at a time, maybe 3 to 4 times a day during a 12 hour stay. This is their VIP option. So not only is he left in a room for about 12 hours a day, with dogs barking all around him, he's not being stimulated nor played with just being let out to go to the bathroom. Contradicting everything they say that they offer. Their "trainer" is also a joke. He is supposed to be from the Marines and well-versed in the breed of dog that we have. Upon washing him for 5 minutes, as I was told, he said that our dog needed to be neutered before he could be trained because of his energy. Our dog is a Malinois and is not supposed to be neutered before 2 years of age. We've since went elsewhere to get our dog trained from someone who is actually educated on his breed and he's worked on all of his anxiety and reactivity issues that our pup got because of this place.

My English Mastiff, Lina, is a certified therapy dog, so her temperament, comfort, and well-being are incredibly important to me -- and Paradise Ranch has consistently exceeded expectations. Most recently, Lina stayed for a 9-day boarding visit, the longest she's ever been away from home. She came back relaxed, happy, and well cared for, with no soreness or stress -- which speaks volumes about the thoughtful, attentive care she receives. The staff truly knows the dogs, understands large breeds, and treats each one like family. The environment is calm, enriching, and well managed, and the communication always gives me complete peace of mind while I'm away. I am so grateful for the incredible team at Paradise Ranch and wouldn't trust anyone else with my dog. Highly recommend to anyone looking for exceptional daycare and boarding.

I brought my pup for an evaluation, got to learn more about the resort, toured the facility and then brought her back for another evaluation cause #separationanxiety. Her not me! I watched her on the webcams (so many!) and she did great! Lots of shade options for her and lots of pups for her to be around. It was nice to see her socialize! From the very beginning, they took the time to understand my dog's personality and needs, and created a training approach that actually works for him--not just a one-size-fits-all method. I've already seen such a huge difference in his behavior, confidence, and overall happiness. What I appreciate most is how they've also helped me become a better, more confident handler. They explain everything in a way that's easy to understand and always make sure we feel set up for success. I'm so long overdue in writing this review for our beloved Happy Heart Pet Care! I don't even know…read morewhere to begin in describing how much I credit Anna Marie and Matt for supporting and caring for my girl Moxie (and honestly, me too). I adopted Moxie at about 6 months old after she was found wandering the streets, and she came to me with a lot of anxiety, reactivity, and gaps in early socialization. We needed real support, structure, and patience. On top of that, I work 12-hour hospital shifts, so finding a place I could trust--somewhere that would care for her with the level of love, safety, and consistency I wanted--felt impossible. Then we found Anna. Anna is extraordinarily knowledgeable about dogs with trauma histories, reactivity, and anxiety. She balances structure and boundaries with genuine warmth so Moxie feels safe and gets to live her best dog life. She helped me understand my own dog better, taught Moxie how to regulate and interact in healthier ways, and created a routine that transformed our day-to-day. Matt is equally wonderful--gentle, attentive, and always in tune with what each dog needs. She is also incredibly flexible with drop-offs and pick-ups, which is absolutely essential when you live and work in Los Angeles. Her reliability and understanding have made it possible for me to manage long hospital shifts without worrying for even a second. Moxie has a forever Auntie in Anna Marie, and Anna will always have my deepest gratitude and love. If you're looking for someone who will love your pup, keep them safe, understand their quirks, and support you as an owner--Happy Heart Pet Care is truly the best there is.

Wolly is a 12 lb, 10 year old Maltipoo who is very social but definitely set in his ways, so we do not say this lightly: we truly cannot say enough good things about the care he received here. From a logistics standpoint, the entire experience was incredibly easy. The flexibility of drop off before noon without needing daily sign ups was a huge win for us while traveling and juggling plans. Pick up as late as 7 PM was equally helpful, and the pricing felt very reasonable for the level of service. What really stood out was the thoughtfulness around safety and care. The facility is secure and gated at drop off, and we watched staff carefully manage dog flow right at the entrance. At one point, a team member even positioned themselves between our children and a larger dog out of an abundance of caution. That level of awareness told us everything we needed to know. We also appreciated the small but meaningful details. There is a live camera so we could check in whenever we missed him. They feed dogs separately and sanitize the area afterward, which gave us real peace of mind. But the true highlight was the caregivers. The way they greeted Wolly each day, how gently they handled him, and how clearly they knew the dogs in their care made this place special. Every afternoon we received the most adorable photo of him, and by midweek he was literally running inside, tail wagging, completely comfortable and happy. As dog parents, there is no better feeling than knowing your pup loves where he is and is being looked after by professionals who genuinely care. Wag Hotels Hollywood made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Wolly. We will absolutely be back the next time we are in LA.

They also claimed they called and left a voicemail after I filled out all the paperwork online. I don't know who they called, but it sure wasn't me. Imagine being in the business of watching people's pets when they are scheduled to leave town and leaving them with no care. I guess I'm "lucky" they aren't caring for my dog because they don't know what they are doing. Edit and reply to the BS reply received from Wag. You sent a CONFIRMATION to me I attached. That means you agreed to watch my dog and anyone receiving that would think the same. You left me with no care for my dog and no, you didn't call me or leave a message. I'm an ex-petsitter myself and this was a a horrifying experience to arrive to drop your dog off to leave town and be denied care. You should be ashamed to call yourself a business or say you care about animals. I assume you were the person in the office that didn't come out to talk to me and left it to two employees that probably hate their job. You told them to tell me my dog was too old and now you are lying. Shame on you. I see you have other reviews that show just how awful you are I should have read them first and steered clear of your company.
