This update is a bit overdue (this happened last year in April of 2025), but it's been a very tough time. The first couple times we used Sitter4Paws we had a really great experience with the sitters that were assigned to our senior, diabetic cat. Last year, my mother unexpectedly passed away, and our regular cat sitter was unavailable for half of the trip home. We booked Sitter4Paws the second half of the trip, and let them know about the circumstances and requested sitters that had seen Jodie before so that we could rest easy during a very difficult time. Of course we know that can't always be accommodated due to scheduling, so for the first visit a new sitter came to see Jodie. On the evening of my mother's passing, we got a text from Sitter4Paws that the sitter felt he may have made a mistake with our cat's insulin dosage. It was revealed to us that instead of giving her her normal 2.25 unit dose, he gave her 22.5 units - ignoring the taped off/labeled syringes, our explicit written instructions in the app, and additional photos/diagrams of what a full syringe should look like. Thank god he realized his mistake, otherwise our cat would have slowly died alone in our apartment - and this would have happened immediately after losing my mom. I understand mistakes can happen, but the fact that a sitter was uncertain with potentially life-threatening medication if administered improperly and didn't even think to reach out to us first was quite shocking. Sitter4Paws took full responsibility, admitted their mistake, said they would take steps to make sure something like this would never happen again, and covered her 4 day ER stay, but it never should have gotten to that point. Again - we did have great sitters who took care of our cat wonderfully - but the uncertainty of who you can get especially with medication involved means that we can no longer recommend this service with confidence. read more

Was going away from a few weeks and my regular catsitter wasn't available, so looked for a back up and found Sitter4Paws had awesome reviews. And after my trip and their care, I can certainly see why. The entire process was thorough and thoughtful, from the initial call to get details about my cat, to the detailed communication throughout the visit. I had lots of pesky questions about liability and key/fob hand off as well as preferences to how many sitters would be in my home, and they truly handled them with grace - it's clear their policies and standards are communicated well and carried out by their sitters. Alexandra W. was fantastic in her care for Mackey and in her communication with me about it. She really went above and beyond, particularly when I was out of reach and she had to make a few judgement calls on her own. I couldn't be happier with how it went. Often my active cat will be worked up by the time I get home, but this time he was chill as a cucumber. The pricing is also fair and quite competitive with other services. I wasnt going to come here and do this because i knew what their response would be underneath and what is the point - but they sent me one too many emails taking zero responsibility for not feeding my two cats FOR A WEEK. and people should probably know that when selecting pet sitters. yes - you read that right. they didn't feed my 2 cats for a WEEK. the reason? apparently my notes were unclear. even though i have used them for FOUR week long absences this summer alone and countless weekends without issue, there were 30 amazon packages they brought in daily, the mail was piled up (and they stacked it!!) and the dog wasn't there - they still apparently had NO IDEA we weren't home and that that *cats needed to be fed* even though they are a pet sitting service (right there in the name) and we paid for them to check on our cats daily. a thing most people do when they're home, right? pay for people just to come hang out with cats mid-day but not feed them? also please check every 1-2 star review on here and see if there is even one where they don't blame the owner. or don't and take my word for it - there isn't one. i used this service for 13 years and mostly had a good experience even though we'd have an occasional snafu now and again, but this was totally unacceptable and their response was outrageous. they did refund for the services and if they would have just stopped justifying their negligence we could have parted differently. oh well, time to move on to folks who understand living things need to eat daily and who are focused on pet welfare not denying responsibility for an egregious oversight. and have fun reading their deflective response! read more

We've been using Sitter4Paws for a little over a year now and I can't emphasize enough how great of a service they are. We have 4 cats, 1 gecko, and a bunch of plants. They take great care of all of these critters while we're away and are super communicative. One of our cats is 15 years old, and has some minor health issues, so I am always incredibly anxious when leaving on trips, but they send daily reports that detail what the sitter did and they always attached a TON of pictures which really puts me at ease. Our youngest cat always follows the sitter around demanding attention so it's also quite funny reading about his escapades when we're gone. Their prices are entirely reasonable for the level of care they provide. We are not well off by any means but we can comfortably cover daily services for a week long trip. Their app is also super easy to use. It's very simple to schedule services and really easy to update instructions. They've even reached out to me weeks in advance of a trip I had scheduled to remind me to update instructions, which I really appreciated! They've always been very on top of things, and I really feel like they take the care of the pets they watch extremely seriously. read more

Recently our 11 year old cat Dip started to fail while we were out of town and they took him to the emergency vet twice and ultimately took him in for euthanasia. We've used Sitter4Paws for pet visits, but this is the first time we contracted their house visits while we were abroad. They showed the same care and detail as their pet visits. Emails after every visit showing photos that the doors and windows were secure, they took in the mail, they pulled the bins down on trash day, and got them back up. Sitter4Paws is such a great and well-run service. I've been using them for a couple of years now to take care of my cats whenever I'm away. I do 30-minute visits and am able to lay out the tasks I need them to do. They clean litter boxes, give treats, put out fresh food, clean up if they see an accident. They take and send pictures of each requested task to show you they completed it. Obviously several pet pictures too :) You also get an email writeup from them on how the visit went, pets' behavior, whether they ate or played, etc. They usually even bring in Amazon boxes sitting out front, which I really appreciate. It's a small thing, but it means a lot and shows they're considerate of you. read more

I just used this Company for the first time over Christmas week. I couldn't be more pleased! The owner, Mia, is very nice and competent. From my first communication with her, to the in-person evaluation to the actual pet sitting and all expectations were exceeded. This was the first time I had to use a professional service in many years, and I was nervous. I felt very confident after meeting with Mia. THEN, Danielle made her first visit. After the visit, she sent me a report and photos showing that my cat, Baz, was just fine. I returned home and Baz was so much more relaxed compared to my last week-long trip. I know that was the result of the time and care that Danielle gave him while I was gone. I enjoyed my trip so much more know that Baz was so well taken care of. I've heard horror stories about wag and rover so I was very anxious about leaving my dog alone for a weekend with a sitter but Sitter4Paws delivered excellent service and care that I don't regret it!!! The buy in was the fact that they go to your home instead of putting your pet in a strange hotel or daycare. They have an app to text you updates and pictures of every visit which gave me comfort. Every single sitter was so thorough and attentive that I had no issues with their care. They feed, walk, and play with your pet but they also can water your plants and check your mail and receive packages. Full package (no pun intended)!!! There was a month where my partner was out of town and I was working long hours. With two fur babies, I was overwhelmed and knew I needed help. Thank goodness for Sitter4Paws!! They rescued us many times when we were in a bind and needed support with our dogs. First off, communication is great. Many pet sitting companies we reached out to either never got back to us and/or replied back to us 2-3 weeks later. I sincerely appreciate their strong communication skills. You have your initial Zoom consultation with them, fill out an intake form (this is where you add your lockbox #, their feeding times, etc.). Once you start requesting their services, they get back to you promptly when they've received your request and when it's officially booked. All pet sitters have been reliable and respectful of our home and dogs. There's never been a no-show and they follow instructions that you leave them to a T. My partner and I always look forward to the updates after the pet sitting is done :) There's lots of pictures and a detailed summary of how the pets are doing! I cannot tell you what a lifesaver Sitter4Paws has been! I've been using them for 9 months, pretty regularly, and they're just the best! My cat needs medication daily and I used to have to beg my niece to come to my house and help me whenever I'd go out of town. I found myself going out of town more often for work and I needed regular care so I looked into the options. It took a LOT of faith for me to take the leap and go with non-family members but I'm so happy I did! Sitter4Paws is reliable, easy to communicate with, and filled with animal lovers who really care. Since starting with them, I've moved in with my partner who also has a cat. I was so worried to leave them at first because they were separated in different parts of the house but the pet sitters all followed my instructions to the T! They go above and beyond always leaving detailed messages about everything they've done and include photos! It brings me such comfort when I'm out of town and I see in the photos that they're doing everything they can for my kitties. I have booked Sitter 4 Paws several times now to take care of my cat when I'm away for more than a weekend, and they have done an excellent job every time. My first booking with them was preceded by a video consultation in which I showed them around my apartment to point out where all my cat's things were and what I wanted done during their visits. During this consultation, they were extremely professional, thorough, and took down detailed instructions for the sitters to follow. All of my sitters have been great. They follow instructions to a T and send photos so you know everything got done. Every time I come home, my cat always seems happy and well-cared for. My favorite part is the cute pictures they send of her! They will also bring in your mail and water your plants which is extremely helpful. Company representatives are very helpful and provide above and beyond services. The sitters, however, can be a hit or miss. We had some great sitters (shoutout to Kae) who sent detailed updates and pictures. But recently, we've been getting sitters who are not reading the instructions at all or do not follow the instructions. We had a sitter who took our puppy out to the streets when we specifically instructed them to use the grass pad outside our door because he is not fully vaccinated. However, we called the company who indicated they will reach out to the sitter right away. We had another sitter who missed the supply rack completely and got the food from the kitchen instead without the right measuring cup (which was on the supply rack) so we don't know how much he was fed. We revised our instructions to not let puppy out of the play pen (with the exception to potty) because house was not puppy proof but a few sitters let him outside of the pen and run around the house. Great company reps. Hit or miss sitters. They were helpful when our puppy wasn't fully vaccinated but he is now about to be and we are considering looking into another company. read more

I was really nervous about having someone else other than family members take care of my dog and cats. But boy was I wrong. I think Sitter4Paws took better care of them! Each one of them were very professional and compassionate towards our pets. Majority of pet sitting was done by Laura O. She was so awesome. She took time to get to know each of them, especially my cats because they get shy and often not come out when a new person is in the house but they did after couple days. She went above and beyond with my old small dog and kept us informed with photos and messages after every visit. I was so relieved when I came back, they looked so relaxed. I can't recommend this pet sitter enough. their intake forms are so detailed, and if you filled them out fully, you'll know that they know everything about the care of your pet. I have used them many times for my two cats. Each sitter followed the instructions perfectly and sent pictures of the tasks they completed like filling food bowls, filling water bowls, brushing, giving treats and giving pets. They have cleaned up messes for me. And they even alerted me when one of the cats knocked a glass bowl off the counter. They cleaned up the shattered glass and checked the cats paws to make sure that nobody got hurt. I always feel safe when they come to the house. read more

Great service! They are very reasonably priced. Whenever they take my dog on a walk I get a message with an update (included if he went #1 and/or #2) and photos. I have an unusual situation with my dog because he lives in a nursing home, and he is also a little stubborn. The walkers have all been very patient with him and followed my instructions on checking in with reception, navigating the building, getting his harness, etc. I would highly recommend this company! read more
