However, after an inspection of all four pads and rotors, I was told all pads 90% and rotors had a little dust, but everything was good. Charged a low fee of $25 for an hour of work. Not being from this area, and down just for the winter, I was so impressed with their honesty and service. I was told the system would be evacuated and recharged, and that a leak check would be performed. I was later informed no leaks were found, and I was charged for the service. The A/C worked initially. Roughly 2-3 weeks later, the cooling performance declined again. I returned and was told the issue was a leaking evaporator, with an estimate of about $1,800. Because the leak had not been identified during the initial visit, I decided to get a second opinion. Another shop performed a full diagnostic with UV dye and showed clear visual evidence of a leak at the condenser (front of the vehicle), including visible dye on the condenser core and signs of physical damage. They also found no indication of an evaporator leak. The repair was completed for significantly less than the original estimate, and the issue has been properly identified. I'm sharing this so others understand the importance of confirming the exact source of an A/C leak before committing to major repairs.

Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of professional standards from start to finish: Communication & Delays: After the promised completion date passed, I received no proactive updates and had to make multiple calls just to check the status of my vehicle. New Damage Upon Delivery: Upon arrival to pick up the car, I discovered that their shop lift had damaged both undersides of the front bumper--turning a one-sided repair into brand-new damage. This was done without their staff notifying me prior to my arrival. Failed Rear Bumper Repair: The rear bumper repair had not been completed properly. Instead, it was covered in black marks from an attempted fix. When I brought this to the owner's attention, her response was extremely defensive and unprofessional. Improvised Fixes Causing More Damage: They attempted to clean the black marks off the rear bumper using a chemical-soaked red rag, which visibly stained my white car red. Ongoing Quality Issues: We are now six months past the initial repair date, and the entire paint job is actively peeling off. Because of this defective paint adherence, the Paint Protection Film (PPF) applied over it has failed, resulting in a significant out-of-pocket financial loss to replace both the previous and new PPF. Given the poor craftsmanship, lack of transparency regarding shop-inflicted damage, and unprofessional management, I strongly advise anyone--especially owners of high-end vehicles--to take their business elsewhere.

Recently I took my wife's BMW in for a recall at the BMW service center and the technicians found the motor mounts to have collapsed. Of course the quote was ridiculously high....just because. I took the car to Pasadena Car Care and the did it in a day or two. It's a big job because to you have to essentially Jack up the engine to get to the motor mounts. It's a labor intensive service. In any event, they got it done very quickly and for a reasonable price. I've always been satisfied with Pasadena Car Care center and I highly recommend them if your car needs service.
