A replacement battery was purchased for my granddaughter's electric car. The salesperson indicated the rechargeable battery was charged to 80% but should be enough to allow the car to function. When placed in the car it would not start so we put the battery on the charger overnight. Again, when placed in the car it would not turn over. After several attempts of charging and putting in the car unsuccessfully the battery was returned to COMPLETE BATTERY SOURCE within the 30-day timeline for returns
The salesperson put a meter on the battery and told us it had been drained. We indicated the battery had been on the charger so that seemed unlikely. He advised us that something in the car must be draining the battery and it was likely the car had an electrical issue. We kept the battery based on his assessment and preceded to have the car's electrical system analyzed. (This of course took time as Toys R Us went out of business and we had to work with the manufacturer.) We were advised the electrical system was intact.
As we had no resolution with COMPLETE BATTERY SOURCE during our encounter to initially take care of the battery we went to another battery retailer. The salesperson at that establishment advised us that there was a bad cell in the COMPLETE BATTERY SOURCE battery, it was an old battery and would not have been able to be charged. We purchased a battery from the competitor, placed it in my granddaughter's electric car and amazingly enough it started right up.
I went to return the initial battery to COMPLETE BATTERY SOURCE but was told it could not be refunded as it was outside the 30-day warranty period. I explained that we had attempted to return it within that timeframe but based on his "expertise" explored the potential problems with the car. He stood firm on his decision not to refund the almost $44.00 cost of the battery basically telling me he had no reason to believe my "story". I advised him that I would be writing a review in YELP and this is when he decided to provide a replacement battery. He advised me that the battery he was giving me is what I should have had in the first place (interesting as he sold me the initial battery because he is the only one that works there). I would have preferred the refund, as there is no way to easily interchange the rechargeable batteries.
