I can't say enough nice things about the amazing team at CDX. The office and cars are clean, well laid out for learners, and clearly taken care of. The whole team are clearly pros at this! The amount of teacher experience they have for the price is amazing, this is by far the best bang for your buck in Tacoma. I spent 7 years avoiding learning to drive because it was so overwhelming and scary to me. Over the last six lessons everyone has been so kind and accommodating to my anxiety, giving super helpful tips for managing behind the wheel anxiety, and staying firm enough that I knew I was always safe and always learning. When I had a personal emergency interrupt my drive team Tara was so compassionate, made sure I was OK, and drove us back so I could reschedule. THIS IS AMAZING! Why didn't I know about this before?! My sixteen year old son failed his first drivers test. After speaking with him it was clear we needed to look into a clearer method of taking his test. After a lot of research we found Complete Driver Experience. Before taking the test, there is a test drive with some coaching on fine tuning and setting expectations. My son passed the exam and could not stop talking about how great and helpful Tara was (for a sixteen year old to rave about anything is a feat in and of itself.). My teen just finished his course here and I want everyone to know Mrs. Dubois (Tara) is a wonderful instructor. she has patience and grace, but is also no non-sense. My son tried to "cut corners" and turn in a blank workbook and she held him accountable! I appreciate her communication, her patience and her willingness to make things work with scheduling. They're a small business who has dealt with covid and other issues thrown their way and they remain professional and accountable. This course is affordable and teaches these kids a lot. Great school to go to! Very pleased with the instructor, my daughter enjoyed herself and is almost done with the class. I hadn't really driven much for years until I took three CDE classes. Now I have a license! The instructor was very helpful and supportive. She explained things in a way I found easy to understand, pointed out errors I didn't notice, and I always left the classes having learned something. The only issue I had was finding the place the first time! Although I got what I wanted, I wouldn't mind having more classes with CDE in the future. Thanks! read more

I took an adult driving course with Tara Dubois and had an excellent experience. She was friendly, helpful, and made the process into a cooperative one. I had some anxiety when starting the program due to experiencing a bad car crash a number of years ago; Tara was accommodating and non-judgemental. I only have good things to say about this school. It gave me an immense amount of knowledge about how to drive and the laws that surround driving. The only time I struggled was when I missed class, and let my workload snowball, so if you go here stay on top of your work.
