I contacted Sione for a quote and he was quick to do an on site inspection. After getting the HOA approval, I scheduled the work. The communication upfront was good in the beginning but that started to fade a little along the way. I had to reach out to get any information on the work schedule. But I like to know what's going on to schedule my day out and when the leave the side gate unlocked. Sione was able to schedule Randy to spray for underground termites prior to the pour. The work was completed in 3 days. There were some finishing touch issues with the completed work but Sione sent a couple guys out to fix the issue.

I interviewed several other masonry as well as excavation contractors listed on BBB before I hired Pao Excavators. Pao Excavators is licensed and insured. I hired Lawrence to tear down our old carport and pour the slab to build an addition. Tearing down the carport wasn't a straightforward job as the carport was attached to the existing house. He stopped by several times to figure out the best way to do the tear-down with minimal damage to the roof of the existing house. He shored up the roof and was very careful when tearing down the carport. He cleaned up the mess and hauled it to the dump for us. The concrete work was top notch as well. He listened our concerns and did a great job. He showed up promptly and did not stop until the job was complete. He was meticulous and didn't cut any corners. I can rest easy that our new garage has a solid foundation thanks to Lawrence! Highly recommended.

He lied about the progress of the work and asked for payment without completing the work under the agreement within the timeframe promised. Weeks and months have gone by and the work was still incomplete. Basically, this was a breach of contract and he failed to perform the agreed-upon work as outlined in the contract. For months, he was unresponsive despite multiple attempts to communicate to either finish the work or refund the payments made. After 5 months, he finally responded stating that he'll set up a repayment schedule to return the funds due to the breach of contract. Another 4 months have gone by and he has yet to repay any of the advance payments made. During those 4 months, multiple demands were made for the refund of payments made. He has been unresponsive. To date, 9 months later, he has failed to return the payments made. No effort at all to even set up a repayment schedule. His conduct has been unprofessional, unreliable, and has caused significant financial and personal inconvenience. I trusted him and paid him in advance when he asked for more money stating that he needed more funds to cover the rental equipment and pay his people. Never again with Maka. I plan to file a formal complaint with the appropriate licensing board and the BBB.

Parris and his guys completed the paperwork we needed for HOA approval without issue, and installation happened quickly after our HOA gave us the go ahead. The installation itself was also completed quickly (2-3 days of work if I recall) and the best part other than the quality of the fence was that the way they install the fence posts leaves your yard looking exactly as it was before--no giant holes or dirt piles left behind. A few months ago, we needed a repair due to our landscapers accidentally shooting a rock through a fence panel. Parris was quick to respond and had his guys out there the next day to complete the repair at a reasonable price. They even noticed our gate wasn't shutting properly and made some adjustments on the spot at no additional cost without us asking. Most recently, we installed some pavers that went under our gate and needed some adjustments to be made to the height of the gate so the gate could close over the pavers.
