Only for procedures (with my express consent) for blood work, tartar removal and imaging. Sadly, Dr. Gardner is retiring on Feb. 15th. All of her staff are 1st rate with extensive prior experience in emergency care. If you can get in before February 15th, you'll enjoy 1st class care and compassion from all. Karen is exceptionally insightful and worked compassionately with me thu end of life issues with 2 of my elderly cats. Looking for a new resource, I'm saddened to see a new Veterinary Industrial Complex business model proliferating in St.Louis. Private investors with multiple vets and staff. Astronomical charges (Foxcreek), and they couldn't to be bothered to send test results to Dr. Garden, without my having again requested they do so. It was clear they hadn't bothered to read the recent records faxed by Dr.Garden prior to examining my cat. Hoping to find one of the remaining partnerships/sole proprietors where the animals receive at least equal concern to profits.

The entire staff is passionate about what they do and you can see the love they have for their patients. I recently had a very sick boy and made frequent calls to their office and they had so much patience with me. In the end, I had to make the call and lead my boy across the Rainbow Bridge and they were so kind and showed so much compassion towards me. When anyone ask me for vet recommendations, Animal Health & Healing is the first one I tell them about. I now live in IL and make the drive so my dogs have the best care.

A Lifesaver for Pets: Dr. Vandre Clear and the entire Animal Skin Clinic Team I can't express enough gratitude for Dr. Vandre Clear and the amazing team at the Animal Skin Ear & Allergy Clinic of St. Louis. Dr. Clear took over the practice in 2016 and literally saved my dog's life. The level of care and dedication displayed by the entire team is unmatched. Life and Death Situations: Understandably, in a practice dealing with life and death situations, there may be occasional wait times. I've witnessed the staff coming out of rooms in tears because they couldn't save animals with terminal illnesses. Please be considerate if you find yourself waiting - it's a testament to the team's commitment to every patient. High Turnover: Despite a high turnover rate in the receptionist position, appointments are kept, phone calls & emails are returned, and our needs are always met. Unwavering Dedication: Dr. Vandre Clear was a true hero for my pet. She played a crucial role in saving my dog's life when no one else in St. Louis could help. I was on the verge of euthanizing my dog, and Dr. Clear was our last hope. Attentive Listening and Comprehensive Evaluation: Dr. Clear's first appointment involved listening to our story and conducting a thorough 2 hour evaluation. She even reached out to other vets, including ERs, to discuss my dog's case. Our frequent visits to different vet offices over the year ensured everyone was familiar with my dog's case. Effective Treatment Plan: We developed a plan of action that worked wonders. A trial period of tests, various foods, and medications led to a successful outcome. Yes, it was a $1K investment, but I had spent $9K over the year in ER, and other vet treatment fees. I could have saved myself $9K if I had sought Dr. Clear's expertise from the beginning. No Need to Look Elsewhere: If your pet is suffering. Schedule an appointment with Dr. Clear. She's a true advocate, and willing to go to any lengths to help your pet. In times of supply chain issues, while other places run out of specialty RX foods and medicine. Dr. Clear always ensures products are in stock so that your pet's needs are met. Thank you, Dr. Vandre Clear, and the entire Animal Skin Clinic team. Your dedication has not only saved my dog but has left special mark on our hearts. I wholeheartedly recommend the Animal Skin Clinic for unparalleled care and expertise.

I am deeply grateful to Maureen for caring and working to help us. Energy and love are healing. I'm cautiously optimistic. I've seen miracles in my life, but this one was so dramatic. We needed this one. Rachael is so important to our family, and I think she has a chance at a much longer and happier life. Thank you ! Maureen helps people too. Myself and my teens are next. The hope and care that she gave me helped me begin to believe in good things for my family too. My son came over yesterday after being estranged, and checked on his kitty, and expressed a lot of feelings that he needed to express. I'm in a far better space from that and I believe my teenager is too. I really believe that all of this was directly a result of asking for help from someone who cared and has the ability to heal. We have ways to go, but so much more hope. Having faith when all around you says not to, and taking a risk to love instead of giving in to fear, can save lives.

Best Decision I've Made This Year! I don't usually write…read morereviews, but after my second of three planned Reiki & Gemstone Chakra Balancing Sessions with Jennifer, I felt compelled to share my experience. Choosing to work with her has truly been one of the most transformative decisions I've made for myself this year. From the moment I met Jennifer, any nervousness I had melted away. She radiates warmth and made me feel instantly welcomed and at ease. I knew right then I had made the right choice. During our first session, I shared that I was struggling with stress, overwhelm, and difficulty staying focused and present. Not long into the session, Jennifer asked if I'd been experiencing back pain--something I had completely forgotten to mention, but had indeed been dealing with. Amazingly, in the weeks following that session, the pain disappeared. I didn't need a single pain reliever. Even more remarkable was the emotional shift. I felt calmer, more grounded, and genuinely happy. When I did feel off, I found it much easier to return to a positive state. The intentions I set during the guided meditation add-on began manifesting in real, tangible ways. After my second session last week, I can confidently say that back pain is no longer part of my daily life. Occasionally, I'll feel a slight twinge if I slip into negative thinking--but it feels more like a gentle nudge to realign my mindset. My meditation practice has also deepened significantly. I now look forward to it and feel more connected to my higher self than ever before. I'm incredibly grateful to have found Jennifer. Her work has elevated my daily life in ways I didn't expect. I'm eagerly anticipating my third session and am also thrilled to attend her upcoming class on Crystal Grids for Manifestation & Healing. Interestingly, I had been seeing a mysterious symbol during meditation, which I later discovered was sacred geometry--only to find out Jennifer's class will explore exactly that. It felt like a sign I couldn't ignore. Stay tuned--I'll definitely be sharing an update after my third session!

During the session I could feel my energy shifting and freeing. By the end of the session, my pain (which is typically very difficult to handle) was reduced significantly. In fact, I felt almost no physical pain. I was able to breath and move more freely. The session was also relaxing. I'm curious by nature and would typically be watching everything but I felt compelled to close my eyes and breath as Jennifer put me at ease. She explained what she was doing, shared her findings, and gave me tools to assist the things with which I struggle. She's very knowledgeable and has advice for almost every concern. She's generous with her time and energy during the sessions. She's warm and compassionate and I never once felt uncomfortable with her. I will definitely be having another Crystal Healing session with her again in the near future!

Dr. Strode is absolutely amazing with my dog, Lady Peach. Lady Peach tweaked her back and she was not rebounding as much as she had with previous back injuries, she has some lasting neurological deficiencies. After discussing with her normal veterinarian and trying a slew of medications to make sure she is comfortable,my vet suggested chiropractor care as a 'cant hurt, might help' hail mary. I looked at a few different places in the area, but Dr. Strode stood out because she is not a chiropractor that can work on dogs, she is a veterinarian that can do chiropractic care on dogs. Prior to our first visit, Dr. Strode called me to discuss my dog in detail to confirm she would be a candidate to proceed with a chiropractic consultation. On initial consultation/exam, Dr. Strode discussed a care plan in great detail with me (also letting me know that depending on how my dog responded to treatment it may change the plan). After some adjustments and laser therapy sessions, we now go in every few months for maintenance. My dog is still very nervous, but she is always excited when we pull into the parking lot. Since she is so nervous, she is stiff and hunkers down when she gets on the cushion for her adjustment, but Dr. Strode always does her best to make sure that she does a thorough adjustment on Peachy. She never seems annoyed or frustrated that my dog is very hard to evaluate due to her nervousness, she always sweet talks my dog and tries to get a tail wag. I can always tell when it is time for an adjustment, my dog definitely comes out moving much better. Dr. Strode also gave us some 'homework': things we can do at home and on the daily to help my dog, things I never would have thought to do. My dog will never be completely normal with her mobility, but she is much better now that she gets adjusted, I truly believe that Dr. Strode has made it possible for us to keep Peachy around and comfortable for this long thanks to her attention to detail and compassionate care.

On the way to the hospital, he pulled it out with his teeth. I brought the nail into the hospital with us. During the visit, an exam lasting roughly 10 minutes was performed. When my dog was returned to me, I was asked whether the injured paw was the left one. I clarified it was the right paw. I was told that all paws had been checked and that no puncture wound could be located, though antibiotics and pain medication were prescribed as a preventative measure. They said he likely didn't step on it which was invalidating given that I saw him with it embedded in his paw. When I returned home I was able to immediately locate the injured area between the paw pads. Rowan remained in significant pain and distress that evening and required additional medication. The following morning my regular veterinarian examined him and documented swelling, inflammation, and trauma in that same paw. He was prescribed more medicine to manage his pain. My veterinarian explained that injuries from nails can puncture the paw and seal quickly due to surrounding inflammation, making the opening difficult to see hours later. Because the source of the injury was not identified during the exam despite being present, I requested a refund of the exam fee. The clinic declined. Emergency clinics are busy and I understand that, but missing the injury I came in for and then refusing to reconsider the charge was disappointing and concerning.
