He can be currently found at the very unique space combining dance and drinking coffee, Garage Dance Studio & Coffee Lounge. While the dance studio and the coffee lounge share the same space, they don't share the same hours of operation. I was here a few months ago, to find the coffee portion in the dark and the dance floor in full bloom! I came again yesterday afternoon, to find the opposite. This time the coffee lounge was open, and no one was on the dance floor. The inside is set to look like you're in somewhere in Madrid amongst the colorful buildings, where the tables are all adorned with red tablecloths. Of course, the barista working was Taki Tanaka. We chatted briefly and he made me the most delightful Honey Fig Latte. It was creamy, foamy, with a beautiful rose art design he hand poured himself. This was mildly sweet, rich in coffee, utterly satisfying with each sip. I just wish there was dance to see.

I went to an open class after years of taking off dance. There were quite a few people in a small…read morespace. The class was difficult but I kept up somewhat. Most were younger adults (where I'm almost 50). Everyone was nice and the instructor choreographed a beautiful routine. I just wish I was in better "dance shape" to have kept up. I mistook "open" for beginner and I would not say it was a beginner class. You need to know basic terminology of dance to keep up at all. If they ever offer a beginner class I'd be apt to come back.

I love the studio; it is bright and spacious. Not underground or in a basement somewhere like some studios are.There is a regular group that comes to these classes and even though they all know each other, they are warm and inclusive of new people. The only thing holding me back from giving RNS Barre class five stars is that weights aren't used and I don't feel I get much of an upper arm workout. They have Zumba, pound, booti yoga, zumbini, studio dance and they mix it up quite a bit. The space is clean, has great vibe and everyone is friendly !! They also offer babysitting. The best part is that what you see is what you get. They are very clear about rules and no nasty surprises later. I moved away and I can't tell you how much I miss this place!
