She is a whirlwind and an inspiration while at the same time makes great food and conversation. I was able to slip in on short notice and look back fondly. I took many photos and videos to memorialize my brief stay there. I was aware ahead of time of the fantastic reputation and it lived up to that and more. Even the check out guy at REI told me two months ahead of time, "you have to stay at Casa Fernanda". He was right.

The highlight was the group dinner in an separate dining hall that had the thatched roof like you see in O Cebreiro. Since there is no other place to eat in this village, paying for the dinner is a no brainer. The chef Angela was an amazing host who made the best food. And unlimited wine with many toasts. It really was an amazing family experience meeting people from all over the road and sharing Camino stories. Just as we were ready to leave, Angela callled us back for the Que Mada ceremony where she lit the bowl of alcohol and fruit on fire. I also had a quick breakfast there before going to Samos.
