I truthfully can say that I have been blessed to have been places in the care of Dr Thakor and staff. I respect his time and I am honored by him taking me as patient. Moving here to Texas and leaving all my doctors was both anxiety inducing and soul tugging. I had a trusted group stemming from John Hopkins, University of Maryland, and other renowned affiliations. I knew replacing a primary doctor and all my specialist was a daunting task and I knew my Faith would be made stronger. I had both my primary and my rheumatologist recommend Dr Thakor. My immune system demanded a competent physician. Hopeful that an infectious disease specialist would take me as a patient without having seen me in a hospital setting first was almost unheard of was the key. Dr Thakor was the door that key opened! I was Humbled to be received into his care with such genuine professionalism and dedication to my wellbeing. He is an excellent human!! He looks into your soul and sees the big picture not just a body part or diagnosis. He takes time to get to build a firm foundation, listens to his patients voice and perspective, and builds a care plan soundly on his collection of past and present knowledge. He communicated to me in understandable terms to let me see his that I had a viable plan which included my other doctors sending him their findings as we stayed on course to keeping me alive. He cared enough to have standby lab work orders in place if I needed an updated snapshot of my immune system when I start feeling sick. A sincere, attentive, and knowledgeable presence is what I can deduct from all my encounters thus far.... an irreplaceable rock to build my new Texas foundation on!

The front desk and the medical assistant told me the appointment was at 10:45, and the doctor had "left the building" for lunch. When scheduling the appointment, the scheduler first offered 10:45, but I knew I could not get to the office that early and requested a later appointment. The scheduler offered 11:00. I am meticulous about my appointment book and immediately wrote down 11:00. I can only assume that the scheduler did not adjust the appointment time. I have worked at and gone to many doctor's offices. I have never been to a doctor who left the building minutes after a patient's missed appointment. Most doctors I worked with typically use lunch to do charting, finish morning clinic, etc. Rarely did they "leave the building". Additionally, the office is challenging to find from the car. The office is tucked into the side entrance in a courtyard, and the sign above their door is not visible from the road/parking lot. I am surprised this isn't a common complaint. Ten minutes of my late arrival was due to the difficulty locating the office. I believe many doctors in this practice are hospitalists, which would explain the lack of professionalism and customer service they expect from their staff. Perhaps they are not accustomed to the integrity and curtsy offered at offices associated with the Baylor or HealthTexas systems. The whole experience is unfortunate because I did like the doctor at my initial visit to their Plano office. I found him very thorough and patient. It is too bad that the Frisco staff was so inflexible and unsympathetic. I am very disappointed with the entire experience and will take my business elsewhere.

The warmth and caring from the staff. Especially my phlebotomist. Must have had six HUGE Bunny Hugs! The state of the art diagnostic and treatment equipment. After doing extensive research, I discovered that North Texas Infectious Disease has a who's who of the worlds top specialist. My doctor graduated from Harvard and interned at the Center for Disease Control. All doctors have similar or higher credentials. The second location next to Northpark Mall was built for patient convenience and many elderly who can't drive and those in Collin County needed something closer than downtown. Billing and insurance is seamless. Interior sparkles with the latest equipment, relaxing waiting areas and jaw dropping glamorous patient rooms. NO PAIN ever! Highly recommended!

APPOINTMENTS ARE HARD TO GET WITH GREAT INSURANCE! I started calling this place two weeks ago for "new patient appointments"- left 3 messages- no call back for the coordinator. Today I called EARLY! Finally spoke to a "live body" Was told "before we set up your appointment you have to have last dr send over all your medical records- then we call you back" The records are to be faxed to JAMIE at 214-823-32**. Shit! The way these people return calls? My doctor now is a mess because of his new " concierge service" which puts his paycheck before my healthcare- absolutely not! What IF I said I didn't have medical records? Would these doctors still see me? Nope! Moving on to the next doctor to check out before making a decision on who my new doctor will be- Medical care in Dallas SUCKS! The doctors are all in it to make a fast buck off the patient it seems

I have been on hormone replacement for years and have been to specialists and now have it managed by primary care and have for years. I would like to say I have never felt so dismissed and so not listened to and like not a single person gave a shit about what my medical problems were than when coming into this office. If you're looking for a cute office to give you outpatient cosmetic procedures and generic medication that doesn't actually require them to provide care then I'm sure it's fine. If you have established medical needs I would seek out literally any other office because this one is just full of conventionally attractive people who look pretty and do nothing. I came to this office to establish care when I moved back and emphasized these things. I'm in pain. I'm overstimulated. I need my medication please help me. I filled out paperwork to make sure they had all of my doctors information. 3 different doctors including specialists to give them my paperwork. Over three weeks went by and I had not so much as received a peep from the doctors office as to what is going on, where my records are. I emailed them frustrated and in pain. I have no direction and have received no communication what is the problem. They emailed me back with unfortunately we don't have control over how long it takes to receive records. Wow. The dismissal from this office for not following up to make sure they had a patients proper paperwork is disgusting. The NP not only didn't address the factors of me being in pain, offering to give them my copies of my own paperwork, and just immediately made it my problem they aren't doing their jobs. He even said he tried to call a phone number one time and it went to a records department. I can't believe I have to tell a medical professional this but Google is free you can see my previous office and if the number on my form didn't work you can call a different one. I was then told he could recommend me to a specialist. I've seen a specialist over 5 years ago and was placed back on primary care. I hope you don't have patients with actual chronic illness and problems because if this is how y'all treat them you will kill people.
