I reported her and had her removed from working with my husband. The CNAs are ok. Some are trifling though. Ms. Laterral was magnificent. The food is disgusting! The company that provides the food says the menu was suggested by the higher ups. It's a total waste. The people are always hungry. I literally had to purchase breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. It's a decent facility overall even the doctors offices however some people still seem as if they are finding their way. No real structure. I had numerous complaints about minute stuff. The day shift was good but that night shift would make you hurt them especially the CNAs. They would bust in the room and turn on all the lights just to dump garbage or write on the dry erase board at 4am. People are sleeping. I would say if you have someone to be treated there, stay with them. It's not bad but it could be better. House keeping rarely came but it is because there is only one house keeper and she had death in here family plus a broken foot during my husband's time there.

I came to this center for a medical procedure. During the procedure that I should have been…read moresedated and unconscious of what was really going on I woke up and begged them to stop because they were hurting me. They continued until I was conscious enough to try to get up. They then held me down and I can only assume finally gave me more medication for the remainder of the procedure. This was undoubtedly the worst experience I've ever been through and when I called to make a formal complaint they seemed to be completely remorseless and basically said well there's nothing we can do. I would not recommend this facility to anyone for any procedures. And I can only hope that no one else finds themselves in the same situation.

Recently a new patient appointment was made at Biowellness Center in Baton Rouge. It was unusual…read morethat the appointment clerk asked for the $100 charge to be paid in advance, but nevertheless the payment was made. Within an hour from making the appointment, another phone call to Biowellness was made to cancel the appointment and a request was made for a full refund. The request was initially denied and the new patient was told then that they had a no refund policy for cancellations. When the new patient pushed the issue, the appointment clerk stated she would have the office manager call back. The office manager stated that they had expenses, but would not say what they were, but conceded to give a $50 refund. Even when the doctor got on the call, the full refund was not issued. He even stated that when a patient cancels, doctors still bill the insurance companies. I told him they did not because I knew that was insurance fraud. I would never go to this center and want to warn anyone else of their unethical and unprofessional policies.

Therapy was to help my back pain, numbness in my legs and to strengthen my core. When I started in November, I was asked what goal would you set for yourself. I said to stand up and cook a red gravy from scratch. After 9 weeks of therapy, I could stand for 15 minutes without pain, walk 740 feet in 6 minutes and get out of chair by self. I was delighted in my accomplishments. But the best was yet to come. Yesterday March 27, 2024 was my graduation day on my 2nd round of therapy. Between Tom Weber and Austin Demsky, they kept me on track. Never pushing me to do more but encouraging me when I chose to do so. I met my goals and exceeded them. Walking 300 feet on my own, climbing 20 stairs and can get on the transport bus. This is not my first time having therapy but it was the first time I have such a comprehensive plan. Everyone I came in contact with, from the reception desk to the PT techs were friendly and took an interest in you. The waiting area is comfortable. The gym area is large, clean and maintained as clients use the facility. I would highly recommend BATON ROUGE PHYSICAL THERAPY-LAKE. Ask for Tom Weber or Austin Demsky. They are the best.

After her botch job, trying to pop my abscess, and prescription of a measly cream...my condition became worse. I had to go to a dermatologist. Turns out I had a staph infection!! The derm had to drain me, on two separate days. I needed 3 antibiotics... Had I listened to the nurse practitioners advice, I could have ended up in the hospital! I spent 6 days in pain, running fever. It took three weeks to heal. Had it been properly treated, I would NOT have had to go through that. Front desk staff is RUDE. Office manager is even RUDER. Outcome was I thought I'd endured the "pump pinch" on my pinky finger but in fact had damn near sliced the tip of my pinky finger clean off... Called them up and asked if they could handle the job of sewing it back on...they said sure we can...so I saddled up and headed that way (preferred to get my doctoring close to home since I didn't know of any places to handle the job where I was)... walked in showed them the situation and they handled up... Pleased with the work...and will use them in the future not only because they did a bang up job for me but they are also extremely convenient to my place of residence...

After many weeks he suggested I see a pain management physician. I was very impressed with the fact he didn't keep having me come back after he felt I needed more than physical therapy. Only problem today was that I was never told to remain NPO for my procedure. I finally asked someone who called last week to confirm appointment and she told me I could eat. This resulted in my receiving injections in my neck without general sedation. It wasn't great. I would've appreciated someone telling me I needed to be NPO and if you don't know if I can eat, find out to give me an honest answer. Anyway Dr Patel is very nice and is working to squeeze me in for an earlier appointment for another needed procedure due to my leaving the state for work shortly. I appreciate everyone's concern and I feel like they are really trying to heal.

On the way to the office on the day of my appointment, their office called me again to reschedule. Since I was already two minutes out, I arrived anyway to make the appointment. They did get me in to see another doctor, but this person was not familiar with my medical history and failed to give me a thorough exam. I was told to come back in a few weeks for a follow-up MRI. In the weeks before the MRI, I received a letter in the mail stating that the MRI would need to be rescheduled. On the day before the (now rescheduled) MRI, their office called me stating that there was a major portion of my bill that wouldn't be covered by my insurance, and they refused to work out a payment plan that didn't involve at least a 50% payment; this was an obvious attempt to blackmail me into paying immediately, since they undoubtedly had this information in advance and waited until the last minute to inform me. I told them to cancel all my appointments as I wouldn't be dealing with them further. After three (3) appointment reschedules during what was a month and a half, I booked an appointment to see a neurologist at the Baton Rouge Clinic. I only had to wait 4 days to see a doctor who could spend the time to exam me thoroughly and do all the lab work I needed that same day. Having worked in the medical profession myself, I realize that it's a difficult and stressful life; that however does not compensate for unprofessionalism and incompetence. If you care about your health and finances, I recommend the Baton Rouge Clinic instead.
