BUYER BEWARE!!!! I went in to Techy this afternoon as the back of my iphone was cracked due to an old and bad battery. I went in to Lamar who told me he could fix it no problem as well as replace the battery. While he was taking down my information, I received a phone call and Lamar heard the entire conversation and knew my phone was working just fine - there were no problems with the phone itself, just the cracked back. When I went to pick it up three hours later, it was NOT WORKING AT ALL. I asked Lamar for help several times and he told me he was too busy. I left the store and then went back in and demanded he look at it. He told me it was my carrier, I knew it was NOT the carrier as it was working just fine as I said. I ran quickly to Xfinity in the same plaza and at first they said it was not working because I had no Sim card, (Lamar removed the SIM card and did not put it back) so I ran back over and Lamar swore he did not touch the Sim card. I went back to xfinity and they were kind enough to give me a new SIM card but the phone would not work at all. They said they had never seen all the error messages, they called their top guy in to help me and he could not fix anything, he called HQ and said that TECHY definitely broke my phone and the only hope I have is the apple store. I went back to TECHY and again LAMAR would NOT look at my phone and told me I was crazy and he did not touch the card or do anything to my phone. Um, why is it now broken? I am now home at 8pm with no phone, no back up phone and will go to apple first thing in the morning. I am so upset, I should have gone to APPLE in the first place. DO NOT GO HERE - they are extremely incompetent and RUDE. I can not believe they get any good reviews. I just went in and re read the reviews and apparently I am not the only one whose phone they broke. Read the bad reviews before the good ones, I wish I had. I explained what I desired. He asked questions about the functions used on the computer. He listened and told me he would send me an eMail explaining hardware options in addition to options and suggestions. Immediately I made my decision to work with Brandon and BBM. We talked. I made a hardware decision. A acceptable bill of charges was presented to me. I agreed and the desktop replacement was initiated. I happily paid the deposit requested and Brandon acquired the new desktop computer. Off site he then preformed the necessary software loading and configurations. At the agreed upon date and time, Brandon arrived with the new hardware. He seriously worked moving the files from the old desktop to the new. He made sure the applications, profiles, related data and other necessary items were on the new computer and working properly. This computer exchange also included moving from Windows10 to Windows11. Brandon described some of the differences and was patience with the questions I had about this new operating system. I am most impressed by the professionalism and skills I experienced by BBM. I was encouraged to call them if I ever have questions. They are willing to do post installation support. Like I mentioned above, after more decades in the IT business, I am most impressed by BBM . I gave BBM Tech Computer Solutions a phone call telling them I wanted to erase Microsoft's Edge and be able to receive email from petrxinc.com. I was told their hourly rate for work at my home location was $198/hour and that it would take about an hour to fix the matter. I said OK, and we set up a time and date. BBM Tech Computer Solutions showed up exactly the time and date they said they would. Their computer solutions expert, Brandon was friendly, polite, and professional. He immediately discovered that the reason I was not receiving the email I wanted had nothing to do with my computer, but with the sender's server that blocked all emails going to gmail addresses. He then advised me not to remove Microsoft Edge as it was embedded and its removal could harm my other computer functions. Not only did they send me the wrong item in my package but they didn't do ANY of the 3 things their customer service people told me they would do. I was told I could have the incorrect order picked up at my home or drop it off for return at an office depot store. So, I chose to return it to the store because I am in a newer community with a lot of construction people coming in and out in vans all day long and many times packages delivered or left out side for pick up get stolen. So, after work on Friday I drove to this store. Once inside I was told that I could not return the package to this store because they don't have the sku plus they have a new computerr system at thatstore...so they can not accept the retrurn. I came home and spoke to the customer. service dept and all I got was we are sorry for the mix up. No, it wasn't a mix up on anyone's part but office depot who's customer service gave me totally incorrect info. So I reordered the correct item (which I had to pay for again)! I was told that on May 20th (2 day delivery) both the new order and the pickup order would both go to the driver who brings me the correct order. I literally stayed home all day on the 20th and NOTHING either was delivered or picked up! I contact their customer. service people again and they said the don't know why either thing didn't happen. They gave me a new # to call so it gets esculated. So, I called the new number and basically I was told that EVERYTHING I had been told was incorrect!! What is wrong with office depot? I have never had any order as messed up as this. But I did learn something new, they did say that 2 day delivery doesn't mean 2 day delivery, it really means up to 5 days. WTF are you kidding me? They also said that I am not to give the return to the person who delivers the new corrected order. They changed that as well and said 2 different companies would be handling the delivery and return. So now, after calling 4 times and speaking to 4 people who each gave me different info. Something is very wrong with this company! Oh yes, I also told the last person (at the esculated number) that I received an email from Staples who is selling the exact same item I ordered for $10.00 less than what I paid. He said he'd have to check with his supervisor but he could possibly credit me the $10 once it is delivered. He said I'd need to call them back and request a price adjustment then. BUT...no one could tell me when the new order was coming or the pick up...all I got was a number that shows I esculated the entire mess. Again I ask you, what has happened to office depot? Obviously their ordering/ shipping dept. can't fill a order properly and nor can they deliver or pick up an incorrect order. They SUCK! Plus the last person said to hold on the line to give an evaluation of what he did ( basically nothing) to help solve the problem. And tell me why I wasn't surprised that once I held on, to be connected to the survey, it just rang and rang and no one picked up before they hung up on the call. I guess they really do not want to hear how badly they messed up at every turn! I'd think twice from ordering from them again. From A Small Boulder to Faithful Digital Assistant, Again!…read more I had my HP laptop for over a year and let my guard down for a few seconds... that was all it took! Suddenly I had something akin to a rock with a glowing monitor. (I am sure the monitor being left on was meant to be gloating!) I had downloaded a package for unzipping my files and the next thing I knew, there was a second profile on my laptop that I had not created and there was no way to access anything on the laptop. (BTW the light from the monitor wasn't even bright enough to illuminate the few hard copies I had printed out before the lockdown. So, I couldn't even use the laptop for a lamp.) I had used an extremely reputable and highly regarded site for my download but forgot that the download buttons could be from advertisers... or bloodsucking lower than pond scum leaches! I don't know what Percy did to gain access. I do know he had to work at it for quite a while and kept having to try something else. It was a very tough intruder and wasn't looking good, at all.
