They've apparently moved from their long time location on Clint Moore Rd. Yelp needs to update their contact info. When I reached out to them by phone, they told me that they no longer do window screens. The woman who answered referred me to a hardware store that could do the job. This a limited review because I can only speak of the great customer service I got from Walt's. Had a broken glass patio door and was scrambling trying to get it fixed. Called multiple places and while Walts does not repair broken window glass, they helped me tremendously with information about measurements, glass sizes, and gave me recommendations on companies to call. When I say they were happy to help, it's an understatement. The last thing the lady told me on the phone was, if you have any more questions, call me back, I'm happy to help ! These are the kind of companies I love to support and will definitely call when I need the types of services they provide. read more

Like I said on the Next Door app recently this company almost cost me $900 of unnecessary $$$. Walt Jr. came out to fix my sliding glass door and he said if I remove like a dozen tiles from my balcony he could come back and put new wheels on my door and make it slide like it should. So I called a tile company and they wanted $900 plus I buy new tiles to replace the ones they remove. Just before I said yes to them on a whim I called back Walt's and the woman on the phone said Walt Sr. said No we're not coming back. We can't do it. Broke my folks window cranking it open for the window washer and so I called Walt's for repair. They didn't have anyone that day so I had to wait but it's so worth the wait. Dan came out to fix it and was super friendly very professional and you can tell he knows what he's doing. Highly recommend this company they are busy for a reason. HIGH RECOMMENDATION FOR WALT'S WINDOW REPAIR Based on recommendations here, in 10/2017 we used Walt's to replace the sliders on our huge sliding doors, and to repair a window's slides. We also had NuLite give an estimate: NuLite: $1250: 3 men, here for an hour, chatting with us about windows and their lives Walt's: $540: 2 men, here for 10 min. Professional and focused Walt's was just as focused and professional, AND FAST, when they came to do the work, and the final bill was under the estimate by $100! Now we don't need a football player to push/pull open our sliding doors. So happy! NOTE: I agree with other reviewers who said the admin was busy and sometimes didn't return my call. Maybe they are busy because they are so good, and in such high demand. Perhaps they aren't the most organized in the office, I don't know. Maybe don't use them if you are in a rush. To make a mistake is totally understandable, doing it 3x for the same window a little much. But I was cool. Taking off the alarm connector BY ACCIDENT ( I'm watching too much CRIME DRAMA or THE NEWS), I was frightened as hell and left a SCARED to death message. Now I'M BEING " VICTIM" SHAMED !!!! Their concern was more about their company then me being scared. AND THAT I LEFT a TREMBLING message that they felt inappropriate. REALLY..under these circumstances ? They went on and on about that I should be ashamed of myself ....WHAT ???? And in all honesty I don't remember really faul language used by me. I can't comment on quality of work since none was ever done. I called for service and spoke to a female who said to expect a call back from Walt the next day to schedule an appointment. Four days later, I got the call from Walt stating he would be out the next day. When I told him I would not be home due to another scheduled doctor's appointment that was not possible to cancel, he said he didn't know when the next chance would be and someone would call me next week. Never heard from anyone again. That was 6 months ago! I'm just now posting because I wound up putting the job off until now and started looking for someone to do the work again and saw Walt's still has the worst local rating. read more

I got a business card from an employee of Walt's. I called to get an estimate on replacing 6 windows, all balcony windows and new sliding glass door. (quite a costly job) I originally was told it would be about a month. I said I would wait. A woman, who didn't announce her name told me that Walt does his own schedule. I said ok. I called again and this same woman (unknown) asked where I lived. She than said we don't do windows there????? Then how did I get a card from someone installing windows? Rude, unprofessional company...maybe Walt is nice, but his office staff is NOT. I did get a visit from US Alluminum (Mitch) Came within three day and sent me a very professional estimate. I called today for a quote to repair a double pained window thats made of metal. $70 for the first hour/ one hour minimum. Parts per window average $25. No credit cards and COD once work is complete. I am sending a check to my tenant because of this. Is this the only place in town? Update: Before the window would not stay up and it would fall fast and maybe a little dangerous for the six year old living there. After Walts Replair and $90, the window is difficult to open and close, but safer. read more

ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIC! Starting with estimate, city permit and windows delivered, 3 weeks and 1 day! Worth the 3 week wait to fix our slider which was difficult to close. Walt Jr and Anthony know their stuff - the slider now closes with the touch of a finger and they even adjusted the locks to cut down on the play in the mechanism. When my handyman told me my sliding glass door off the family room required major surgery he couldn't provide, he recommended Walt's Window Repair. I found the company's management and employees I dealt with to be efficient, polite and customer focused. In fact, I was so impressed by their professionalism on the phone when I first called, I didn't even bother dialing some other names I saw advertised to comparison shop for the job. I was called by the crew, as requested, about 30 minutes before they arrived at my house so I could meet them there. When a separate part was needed for a brief second visit, the company set me up as the first job of the morning so I could head off for work on time. They covered all the furniture with plastic to minimize the dirt and dust collecting in the house.They installed all the windows by 3 o'clock and cleaned the floor and windows. If you can wait around for weeks for an appointment for an estimate and then wait by the phone for their last minute call with less than a day's notice to be told to wait for their two hour window, move your day around for that exact time slot, then this company is good for you. I had two windows that needed repair but also wanted estimates to replace the upper windows with more energy efficient modern style. The first call, I was told they were so busy that an estimator could not contact me for at least two weeks. The second call was on my voicemail two and a half weeks later, telling me the estimator would arrive the next afternoon with a two hour window. When I heard the message, I called the company and asked if they could come an hour earlier as I had a conflict. I was told no. I asked if I can reschedule for a different day while on the phone. I was told no. I asked when they would be rescheduling, if I could have more than 24 hour notice, possibly 48? I was told no. I was advised that she has no control on when and what time because Walt makes his own schedule and calls the day before. Less than 24 hour notice will be given. They must be doing well as they take 2 weeks for an estimate and find people with extremely flexible schedules. But those who work, have kids, have obligations that are difficult to change in 18 hours, you should call another company. read more

RED FLAG....these guys are the worst ever, I called for an estimate...was told they don't schedule ....they don't keep a record book ..they just show up when they get to it. WHAT? 12 days later I get a call...the guy will be here in 30 minutes....meanwhile I'm at work 45 minutes away. Nasty woman tells me it's now or never...they won't try again. These people should be OUT OF BUSINESS. Oh yes...plus the fact that they explicitly asked for CASH. NO checks NO plastic Another red flag. I called Walt's Window repair to adjust and or replace mechanisms on my awning windows. The technician that came out was polite and professional. He indicated tension bars on two windows needed replacing. He measured for the replacements and said they would schedule the install in a couple of weeks. While he was there I had him lubricate and service the mechanisms on the five or so other awning windows. A month went by and I called to see whether or not they received the parts. The receptionist looked up my service order and said Walt would call me. Later that day the receptionist calls back and states we can not fix your windows. That's it end of conversation. I wasted a month waiting when they could have told me they weren't going to work on my project. If you are in the service business offer a solution, If they can't be fixed, quote a replacement. I won't waste your time so please don't waste mine! read more

Walt's Window Repair and Screening in Boca Raton obviously has been in business too long. They must feel that they have a monopoly on the business in the area for them to be so disorganized and careless in how they deal with their customers. People who care about their business and their customers don't act this way. We called Walt's for an appointment on a Friday. They explained that they were backed up with appointments and wouldn't be able to fit us into their schedule until the following Wed (Monday was a holiday) and that they would call us as soon as the schedule was created. No phone call on Tuesday. Wednesday finally came and......no phone call. We called their office in the morning and "Walt Jr." (who seems to be a chip off the old block) communicates that our information was left on "Walt's desk" and that he was sorry.....but that he would follow up and get back to us and would get us "into the schedule as soon as possible". He admitted that the ball was dropped and we understand that mistakes happen. He made it sound that we would receive a call back....NOPE . We called again on Wednesday afternoon....and received the answering machine. We left a message. No call back. We called a third time and received the machine again. Well....Thursday morning rolls around and we call their office at 8:30 in the morning. We reach "Walt Jr" who communicates that we are not "in the schedule" and that "we've been busy" and "there is no truck in the area". Our house is 5 minutes from their office. We reminded Walt Jr. That we've been attempting to deal with this for almost a week. He said he would speak to "Walt Sr." and "get back to us". By 10:00....nothing. No phone call...Nothing. I figured I would give it one last shot and called their office. Again.... Same nonchalant attitude. At this point ....I was done . These people don't understand that you cannot treat customers this way without the word getting around fast. They are Old school..... and when I say Old school, I don't mean in a good way. They don't understand that customers will not tolerate being treated in this manner. Within 5 minutes of my last phone call, I was able to track down and communicate with someone who does this exact work and have an appointment for this evening. Walt's isn't the only game in town !!! Don't waste your time !!!!! I can only imagine how they would have dealt with me once they were in my home if this is how they dealt on the phone. read more
