I teach online and depend on my laptop. Yesterday morning, when I turned it on, nothing would respond (including internet), the screen turned black but the icons were still visible. Needless to say, I was in a severe panic mode. I found Michael on Yelp and based on the reviews, decided to take my laptop to him. I was in panic mode when my USB with years of files on it stopped working. I took it to G--k S---d at B--t B-y but they couldn't read the USB. For $420, we could send it out and hope for the best in a couple of weeks. I didn't have a couple of weeks! Quick search for a local landed me at Computer Repair World. Mike started right then to try to read the files so I wouldn't have to wait in panic mode. Success! A couple of hours later and I was back in business. Michael listened to exactly what I needed in a 'barebones' but high performance system. He made great suggestions, and came in way under what I would have over-bought at Dell. The system was ready exactly on time and he even went the extra mile to make sure everything was set up perfectly before I took it home(this was a bare bones system, no video card for example, so he didn't have to do it).
