I have had baby highlights done before, and I have never had such an awful experience in my life. Unfortunately, the results looked almost exactly the same as my original color and even appeared darker in some areas. What made the experience more frustrating was that the instructor did not agree or acknowledge that the result was not what I had requested. As a customer, it's disappointing when your concerns are not taken seriously. I paid $120, and like everyone else, I work hard for my money. Now I have to go somewhere else and spend more to get this fixed. I truly had hoped to become a regular client here, but after this experience, I would not recommend this place to others.

You will need to call and schedule about a month out for a service. Diana was my esthetician and she greeted me warmly. During the service she listened to my skin concerns and formulated a plan of treatment. The service was great and very relaxing. I had a great time and I will definitely be back. For being a school, it felt very professional and the students were exceptional.

$27 for a haircut that includes a wash and blow-dry is a steal these days!…read more i was very well aware that this is a school / academy for students to practice styling and cutting hair. I was a bit hesitant but i just cannot imagine paying $100 for a haircut and wash. some were $60 for just cut (no wash) so i decided to just give it a try and told myself that if it's really that bad, i'll just never go back or it's just hair, my hair will grow back very soon. i got there and was attended immediately. Alexandra was my stylist and she told me she was going to graduate from the academy very soon. She was gentle and patient and in the end, my hair turn out very well. I was happy to know that her supervisor was there all the time to watch for any "mistakes" or answer any question the student had. some things that could be better is that the hair washing was too gentle. didn't really scrub; i felt that it was more of a brush and rinse. i've been to other places where the stylist really massage the scalp which felt nice. the haircut itself was a long process and i get it because student is being very careful and have to wait for the supervisor to approve or check on the cut. I was there or 2 hours. my hair was just below shoulder and i cut it to above shoulder with the shortest layer at my chin area. if i had gone to a more experience salon, i'm sure i'd be done within 1 hr. in the end, if you have the time and doing simple cuts - DO consider this academy for haircuts.

I have been a customer of Vanessa's for many years now! I had the opportunity of first meeting…read moreVanessa years back when I was trying to find the perfect artist to perfect my brows. At my annual brow visit, she had introduced her permanent jewelry business and I was thrilled because I had been trying to find someone to do it! Over the years I have recommended Vanessa for both microblading and permanent jewelry. Her business has grown so much over the years and she now has hairstylists and a nail artist at her studio! Microblading: Microblading has completely transformed my brows. The process itself was relatively painless, thanks to the numbing cream applied beforehand. Vanessa takes the time to measure and shape my brows to suit my face each appointment. After a few short hours, I leave the salon with beautifully natural-looking eyebrows that framed my face perfectly. The pigment looks incredibly realistic, and the fine hair strokes mimic real brow hairs. It's been years now, and my brows are still looking fantastic! It's definitely a time-saver in my daily beauty routine. Permanent Jewelry: The concept of permanent jewelry was completely new to me years ago, but I'm so glad I decided to give it a try. The process is simple - I have had multiple delicate chains fitted to my wrist without the need for clasps. It's lightweight, comfortable, and I never have to worry about losing a bracelet again! It feels like a subtle yet meaningful addition to my style, and I love how it complements my other jewelry. It's a beautiful way to keep a piece of jewelry with you 24/7, and I get a lot of compliments on it. Both treatments have enhanced my daily routine and overall look. I highly recommend microblading to anyone looking for fuller brows and permanent jewelry for those who want to add a unique touch to their accessories. The convenience and longevity are definitely worth it!

When I arrived, I was told I had to sign in and pay for the service before it was even done. I asked why, since the last time I came I was able to pay after the service was completed. The staff member said it was "the rules," so I mentioned that she was actually the one who helped me during my previous visit and allowed me to pay afterward. She laughed and said she couldn't do that this time because the manager would get mad at her. Because of that, I decided to decline the service and leave. It felt strange and inconvenient to be required to pay upfront, especially when that wasn't the case during my previous visit. On top of that, during my last appointment the results weren't great--my left eyelash ended up very curly while the right side was still mostly straight. There are plenty of other places to go for a lash lift and similar services, so unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this place based on my experiences.

Current student going through the program and may change rating based on ongoing experience…read more I started the program about 2-3 weeks ago, mainly because they recently began offering weekend classes, which worked well for me since I have a demanding full-time job. So far, unfortunately, my experience has not been great. I'm not sure if it's because the hybrid/online model is still new for them, but it really feels like they don't have the process fully organized yet. Most of the issues come down to lack of communication and unclear expectations for online students. Once I paid my deposit, I wasn't really guided through the next steps. I was briefly shown the portal we use for coursework (CIMA) and told to download WhatsApp because that's how we communicate with instructors. Beyond that, I pretty much had to figure things out on my own. I even had to personally ask questions in the group chat because I was confused, and it turned out several other students felt the same way. Eventually we found out there's an orientation every Monday, but nobody clearly explained that upfront. The virtual learning environment has also been frustrating. During online sessions, chats are muted and virtual students can't really ask questions because the instructors are focused on the in-person class. That honestly makes no sense to me considering online students are paying the same tuition as in-person students. It feels like the virtual students are an afterthought. Even submitting homework has been confusing. We use Dropbox, but I was basically just told to "download Dropbox" and had to dig through old chat messages to find the actual submission links and instructions. At this point, I honestly feel unclear every step of the way. I spend more time trying to figure out logistics, apps, links, and expectations than actually focusing on learning. The frustrating part is that these seem like very simple organizational issues that could easily be improved with clearer communication and better onboarding for online students. I'm still early in the program, so I hope things improve over time, and I'm open to updating my review if my experience changes.
