I understand that changes happen, but it would mean a lot to families like ours to be informed ahead of time and have a smoother transition. As a special needs family, it's not always easy to find places that can truly accommodate. There are moments I feel defeated and wonder how we'll make things work. That said, I truly appreciate the director for listening, apologizing, and working with us. With the added support, my child is now back to learning how to swim which is so important for her. My 4.5-year-old is currently learning to swim with Ms. Desiree and absolutely loves it!…read more We first tried ASA Dublin, but it was a constant struggle....overcrowded slots, limited pool and changing space, and long waits. Even during COVID, it felt overwhelming, and progress was slow. Then we switched to ASA Livermore, where, unfortunately, a teacher once pushed him into the pool despite his discomfort with water in his eyes. That experience really set him back, and we paused swimming altogether in 2023. Fast forward to 2025, we gave All Star a try. It's only been 1.5 months, and the transformation is incredible. Not only does he love the water, but he looks forward to every class. He's already jumping in, kicking, floating, and taking risk, all in just 15-minute sessions! It's definitely pricey, but the progress has made it absolutely worth it. Camille has also been wonderful... so warm, accommodating, and great with kids. The whole environment here feels positive and welcoming. We're really grateful we made the switch.

Over the course of just a couple months of weekly…read morelessons, my son (almost 4) went from not wanting to get in the pool and crying half of the lesson to asking everyday if he had swim lessons everyday and wanting to go to the local pool. My son's teacher, Dakota, made my son feel very comfortable and safe in the pool and got him to do things I never thought he would do - not just put his face in the water but fully submerge his head and float on his back, among many other new skills. Every week he would learn something new. But most of all, my son was so proud of himself after every lesson. And Mom and dad are proud, too! We will definitely be signing up for lessons again next summer, and we will be signing our youngest up for lessons once he is 3!

For almost a year I was so happy that I had found a place where my Autistic Little could get…read moreclasses. He loves the water and it was important that he learned or we got him comfortable and try to teach him safety first and like I said for the first 9 months he was happy and I was happy then his instructor left and was placed with a new instructor who by the 2nd week told her supervisor she was afraid to work with my son. My son is non-verbal, Autistic and has failed behavioral assessments which means there are no bad behaviors. If anything he is too affectionate so I guess that didn't work for her and they let us go as they didn't have anyone to teach him. I called several months later to check in to see if they had hired anyone able to work with an Autistic child, my words were to them but they never called. So I say all this to say that yes I was happy with them until I wasn't until they let us go because no one could work with my then 4-year-old non-verbal, Autistic, no negative behaviors child.
