Although instructor Don could have droned on and on doing ALL the reading, he wisely chose all the class members to read aloud. The instructor is knowledgeable as he answered all questions (some were in unrelated topics, like personal defense against knife attack), and, shared some stories and personal experiences to highlight a lesson. In addition, he made me aware of some relatively cheaper shopping venues for many cleaning supplies, holsters, and ammunition. The decor is old and that makes for a counter-intuitive experience - you are getting a high knowledge base, but should disregard the setting, and focus on the teacher-student relationship.

I came in expecting to be bored sitting on my phone the entire course but this was not the case. Adam is a great instructor, very informative, detailed and fun. The class was very immersive. Great class for beginner, he goes through all details of scenarios when to and when not to exercise your right to defend yourself with deadly force. He will answer all questions and no judgements are made if you are a complete beginner to firearms. you will qualify on your shooting accuracy during the first day, the range is not far from the class at all. You will qualify at the end of the first day class, everyone will pass with the information taught. I have taken a 16 course 5 years ago and all they showed was boring NRA videos and not much information on when to and when to not use your firearm. Adam spoke the entire course with power slide, it was not boring and you will learn life saving information and also information to prevent putting yourself into trouble with the law. I've been going to this range since the month they opened their doors, and I happily keep going back! This is the epitome of what a "clean range" should be. It has the best HEPA filters in the ranges and it never smells of powder. The employees are all so very nice and helpful, usually with a does of comedic relief. Shooting there is like going to a friend's home to shoot. They make all their customers feel welcomed, rather than some ranges (on Rt 30?) where everyone seems to have an attitude of being better than you and that you're inconveniencing them at their place of work. NOT HERE - YOU ARE ALWAYS MADE TO FEEL WELCOMED AND APPRECIATED AS A CUSTOMER! ALWAYS! While I've been shooting for over 50 years, I recently took a private lesson from Mark Longo to break a bad habit of (like many!) anticipating the shot and shooting low-left.
