First off the medical assistants are in street clothes dealing with blood and other bodily fluids. The MA didn't know how to draw blood. Argumentative when I told her where my vein was. Then she goes to get another medical assistant. This person does have scrubs on but..... doesn't know how to properly use a needle. She draws my blood, pulls the needle out and gives it to the girl in street clothes. She's trying to figure out what to do with the needle. ITS A BUTTERFLY! HIT THE DAMN BUTTON. I called and was told I could pay $113 for a new-hire physical. I went and the woman at the front desk acted like that wasn't an option. Then she took my form to the provider to see if that was something they could complete there (not sure if it's a doctor, NP, or PA). She came back and said that the provider didn't feel comfortable signing off on whether I have a mental or physical impairment that would interfere with my job, because she would only be meeting me today. They're a place that does new hire physicals and they don't feel comfortable signing off on new hire physicals sooo go somewhere else. read more

Arrived around 5pm and was told it would be an hour wait with three people in front of me. Now nearing 7 and no word on when I will be back, still sitting in the waiting room. Oh, did I mention that the two of the others are here for drug tests? I'd leave but I keep thinking they will call me back and I feel awful. I've been to several other urgent cares, never had to wait so long for so few sick people in a waiting room. When someone else asked about the wait, the receptionist said "Well it is the end of the day.". Don't come here, there are other options, wish I would have driven the extra few miles in traffic to another urgent care. Update: I left after two hours. I stopped in to have some tests done and since it was my first visit I had a few questions that they answered directly and then got me into patient rotation. My wait seemed to be fairly short and once they brought me into the testing area the PA was professional and friendly. They took care of my needs and I was in and out in about 45 minutes total. I was sent here for a work related injury. I had a cut on my hand from a piece of broken glass that got lodged inside of the palm of my hand. When I walked in, it took the receptionist 10 minutes to turn around and ask what I was there for. When I told her, she turned around to her co-worker and started laughing her ass off and saying things like "Oh my god, I need the Lac room open again!! This is like Lac day!!! I can't believe what's going on here OH MY GOD!!! I need to step away from the front desk!!!!!" Very rude and unprofessional, I instantly knew I was going to get shit service here. And she refused to help me write down my name or anything when my writing hand was the one that was wounded. So I got sat down in the 'Lac Room' and the medical assistant wouldn't say anything to me and was also unfriendly. After it got sterilized and he poured sterile water on it to stop it from burning, he said that the doctor would be in with me in a moment. So I had my hand laying on a bunch of wet towels waiting 15 more minutes for the doctor to come in and see me. Then the doctor came in and looked at my hand and said "Oh it's fine. Just going to give it some gauze and antibacterial ointment and you'll be on your way." Didn't ask me what happened with my hand, what caused the cut, didn't ask me about what kind of pain I was in, if it hurt anywhere, etc. When I got wounded it was bleeding a LOT and I had GLASS STUCK IN MY PALM!!! And she didn't even care about it!!! Then she left. And then another medical assistant came in to wrap my hand and do my gauze, and apparently the front desk never got me to fill out my paperwork or anything so the poor girl had to help me do it, and I didnt get any vitals, or anything done prior to even being seen by the doctor. TERRIBLE! Then she had to give me a tetanus shot. And you know how you're instantly supposed to put a sterilized swab on the shot after you do it? Well, she didn't do that. She let vaccine and blood flow down my shoulder until I said something about it. Then a few days later I had a follow up appointment on my hand. The black lady receptionist was very nice to me and I thought "Alright, this may be a bit better than the last time I was here.." And then I got sent back with a older black lady who didn't say a single WORD to me aside from "Take the gauze off your hand." and "She'll be right in." She took my vitals and left. Very unprofessional and unfriendly AGAIN! And then the same doctor came in and told me "It's healing fine, I'm releasing you from our care." Again did not care to ask if it hurt or interfered with any of my daily activities(which it DOES) and then left. Everyone at this place obviously hates their jobs. The staff is unfriendly and unprofessional. I would not suggest this location to ANYONE unless I hated them and wanted them to get shit service for their medical needs. read more

If you are waiting for regular Office medical and physical work this center is good . But if you are waiting for medical urgent care , this center has long waiting time because of shortage of Doctor. Better go to different urgent care because you wanna be sitting for 2 hours minimum. read more

After coming down with the flu I ended up taking myself to urgent care. I ended up at another unrelated urgent care and waited approx. 30 minutes with no end in sight. I felt like I was going to die so I hopped in my car looking for the closest urgent care or hospital. I initially drove by Concentra because the only other time I have been there was to take pee samples for jobs. I'm glad I turned around to stop in there. There was only a couple people in the waiting room when I got there. I filled out the paperwork and the lady that greeted me asked what the problem was and was caring. I asked to be brought to a room immediately in case I vomited or otherwise... And shown the location of the nearest bathroom. They didn't have a problem with this even though there were a two other people there (from my best guess waiting for pee samples to be taken). I was able to lay down in the room in a comfortable position while I waited for a doctor to see me. There wasn't much they could do for me since its the flu. This was my first experience to it ever. The doctor was compassionate and friendly. She took her time and still checked me for any other possible issues. My BP and other vitals were checked by another lady and she couldn't have been more friendly herself. When I was leaving another staff member led me out and offered me a water to take home. He was also sympathizing with me about catching the flu and wished me well several times. This was extremely appreciated since I knew there wasn't much try could do for me but made me as comfortable as possible. This was my first time going there for any kind of medical issue and I am for now on going to make this my go to spot for care. read more

Go somewhere else if at all possible. I went here because it opens before I have to be at work and it's close to both home and work. Turns out the convenience was not at all worth it. I went in because one of my eyes was bothering me (dry and irritated.) The woman at the desk didn't know how to process my copayment on the computer and said she'd figure something out and mail me a receipt for my cash payment. The nurse / tech was cool and knew her stuff; no complaints about her (I think her name may have been Kendra?) The doctor came in fairly quickly and I explained what was going on with my eye. She examined it and said it "might" be an "atypical" form of pinkeye. She'll send in a prescription. I've had pinkeye before, this didn't feel the same, but...she's the doctor, right. When I picked up the prescription later that day, I was kinda surprised to see it was the same drops I've gotten before for the "typical" pinkeye, but put them in. The next morning, I used them again. Driving to work, I could barely open my eyes. The oncoming lights and traffic signals were blinding. As soon as I got to work, my boss had a coworker drive me back to Concentra since something was obviously wrong. The same doctor was working, so I was just taken to a room to wait for her. She walked in and said, "oh, you should probably see an eye doctor." Wow, thanks. She handed me a business card for a ophthalmologist nearby who "is almost always able to see our referrals right away" (I called him; they couldn't get me in for three weeks) and a different prescription. When I saw my own eye doctor, I learned that the Concentra doctor misdiagnosed my eye issue (it was not pinkeye, atypical or typical) but excessive dryness and the prescription drops made the problem a whole lot worse. So, the convenience of Concentra's hours cost me two office copays there (I'm fighting the second), lost time at work, the cost of two prescriptions, and an office copay at my ophthalmologist's office. No, I absolutely would not recommend Concentra in Troy. read more

My work sent me up here after hurting my back, it took 1.5 hours to see a assistant NOT A REAL DOCTOR. the black women behind the counter acts like she hates her job, she took her sweet ass time to help me. she was very rude and unprofessional! Their x-ray machine is very outdated and they had to take 6 x-rays in the same spot because it kept coming out bury. I had the worst experience here the other day. The staff was rude and they kept taking pt's back before me who came in after me! I went and said something to them, and they said my paperwork took longer b/c I was there for an urgent care appointment. Then after they took 5 people back who came after me, they finally called me and then i sat back there for a really long time, and I went to tell someone like the sign in the room says to do, and again the staff member was rude and just yelled urgent care doctor and sat back down. I Went today since I was in pain ,I was waiting for around 10-15 minutes and the receptionist didn't even ask me if I need a help ( to fill out the paperwork ) she was calling the other patients to check their paperwork, I was invisible for her even though I was standing in front of her. Went to this place the other day- arrived around 3:45pm. I was told it would be 30-45min wait. I was very sick. Fever/sore throat. I waited and waited while they saw drug screen patients and patients there for a physical. I was the only one in the waiting room that was ill. They finally called me back after I waited TWO hours. They checked my vital signs.... temp was high and heart rate was high. Well, heart rate usually goes up with a high temp. Dr finally came in to see me after another 20 min wait. He asked me a series of questions. He mentioned he was worried about my high heart rate. I told him I had a fever and I know that's why it's high. Someone finally swabbed my throat to check for strep after me being there 2 1/2 hours. Dr then decided he wanted EKG done for my heart rate. I agreed to let them do that. It was normal. I waited another 20 mins to see the Dr again after ekg was done. Mind you- we are now at the 3+ hr mark that I've been sitting there with a high fever entire time! Anyways- go somewhere else if you're feeling miserable. Nothing is urgent at this place and way too slow when you are feeling so crummy. read more
