I've been here three separate times for a drug test for my jobs. They're nice, quick, and get you on your way without any issues!

This pertains to an unfortunate encounter with a staff member on Thursday, September 20, 2024, specifically with a therapist named "Alek or Alexis." It is important to note that the front desk staff were present during my visit and were aware of the comments made. Upon my return to address the situation, one of the staff members promptly defended him. The individual receiving treatment is my mother, who was referred for physical therapy by her physician. Initially, we had the pleasure of working with a therapist named "Victoria", who was outstanding--professional, empathetic, and highly skilled. She inspired hope in us, and we eagerly anticipated our sessions. Regrettably, she has since departed. Subsequently, we began sessions with Alek, who, from the very beginning, made several discouraging comments, including: 1. Questioning our presence in therapy. 2. Indicating that my mother's evaluation suggested she was unlikely to improve, thereby questioning our reasons for attending. 3. Stating that this is not a gym for entertainment, implying that if we wanted that, we could go to a gym, and making remarks about individuals attempting to exploit the system for no valid reason. I was taken aback by his rudeness, as it felt as though he was accusing us of dishonesty and trying to take advantage of the system. I was shocked that he spent the entire hour of our first interaction merely reiterating why we were there. It felt as though he was suggesting we should leave. Engaging with him became increasingly intimidating, as he made me feel like a liar and that we had no right to be there. The reality is that he seemed disinterested in working with my mother, preferring instead to handle only straightforward cases where he could simply direct patients without much effort. 4. He indicated that if we did not attend sessions at least twice a week, we would face removal from the program, a statement the front desk staff later clarified as inaccurate. 5. In the second session, he made an inappropriate remark regarding my mother taking an extended time in the restroom, plus he mentioned that she likes to talk suggesting that she was doing that to avoid exercising. I would like to respond to that by saying that if he truly possessed the experience he claimed, he should know how to gently and respectfully redirect her conversation to encourage her to continue exercising as she is a senior person. 6. He stated that he found it challenging to work with her due to her slower pace compared to other seniors, plus safety issue, suggesting he was overwhelmed with patients and needed to focus on those who could keep up. It seemed as though we were being encouraged to leave the office because of his reluctance to assist my mother, as he provided various justifications related to our attendance. I shared my work obligations and emphasized that I am her primary caregiver. After discussing with the front desk staff, I discovered that the assertions regarding removal from the program for missed sessions were baseless. We eventually scheduled appointment requesting another therapist who have experience and knowledge, not bothered by patient and select what he/she want. I never see such a thing, I even asked about such behavior, no one agreed. My advice if you want to work in a field in the medical industry you need to be patient and passionate, it is not all about money. It is important to address the front desk staff regarding the situation with Alex as they seemed to be defending him. It appears that rather than offering assistance, he was more focused on expelling us from the premises. We expect to be treated with respect as clients, especially in a business context. We are not here to deceive or seek entertainment; this experience has been quite disheartening and has left us in disbelief. It is truly unfortunate and disappointing.

We were greeted by Randy who gave us a quick and helpful orientation of the facility and what to expect from staff to help us. Everyone was professional and knowledgeable about rehabilitation. We were there for four days and feel grateful for care we received. My wife is recovering from her knee surgery and we are better off because of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital.

She didn't know where she was or why she was there. Instead of providing care, it felt like the staff just sedated patients to make their jobs easier. Aside from a few kind nurses, most were rude, dismissive, and clearly unwilling to engage with patients in a meaningful way. One tech even told my mom she "needed to adjust her attitude." Unacceptable. The doctor was worse. I've seen feral cats with more bedside manner. She knew almost nothing about my mom's case except what she glanced at in the notes. It wasn't until I insisted they reduce her pain meds that anything changed--then suddenly the doctor called and admitted she "thought" that might be causing the confusion. Seriously? The therapists are genuine and kind, and their efforts are appreciated. However, they typically spend only about an hour a day with patients. Unfortunately, despite the positive aspects, the negatives outweigh the positives at this facility. This place runs on convenience, not compassion. Please think twice before trusting them with someone you love.

Her surgeon thought she would benefit from the more aggressive rehabilitation she would receive here as opposed to the acute care hospital where she was becoming more deconditioned due to lack of aggressive therapy services at the other hospital. She made such a wonderful recovery here. The therapy department was exceptional. Her physical therapist was Charles and her occupational therapist with Linda. They both worked so very hard and were so gentle and patient in their technique. My grandmother made great strides of progress thanks to their efforts. Maria the rehab tech was also a gem. The nursing staff including the supervisor Jean were also fantastic. We were a very involved family and they always attended to our questions or concerns. They kept my grandmother comfortable and safe. They were constantly seeking feedback to try to improve and were receptive to this feedback. My grandmother also had a wonderful nutritionist named Anjail who was always so kind warm and helpful. Her team of doctors including Dr Elati, Dr Yang, and Dr Pandya were also fantastic. We owe the great recovery my grandmother made to the outstanding care she received here. I very highly recommend this place.

We arrived here with known lung issues, expecting the Doctors to continue treatment while also communicating some kind of current status and plan for care. Unfortunately, not the case. After discussing the issue with several different leaders and asking for a plan, they had none. We then requested CT scans, the Lung Doctor saw the results and recommended antibiotics. However, the Infectious Control Doctor reviewed the scan and noticed mucous plugs. Why didn't the lung expert notice the plugs? Why did we have to advocate so hard to get an updated status of her lungs and request tests? Why were they not continuing her care based off the discharge paperwork from the previous hospital? This is disappointing considering we are talking about someone health who can't speak for themselves. Where did the transition communication breakdown from one facility to another? I feel bad for those that don't have anyone to speak up on their behalf. It wasn't like we didn't do our research before choosing this facility, Not the experience we were expecting.
