Overall, if I visit Pearland, TX again and become ill, I will choose Memorial Hermann South East for the hospital.

This is the infusion center my daughter goes to when she needs IV saline to try to recover from any…read morekind of flare (usually caused by viruses). She's almost always the youngest person there but she's an old soul so has made some special friends while spending several hours per infusion anywhere from 1-3x/wk for anywhere from 1 week to 9 months (the longest ever which we hope never happens again to her!). They relocated from an old, depressing space in the main hospital to this newly remodeled space in the medical clinic maybe a year and half or so ago and it's so much nicer! All the nurses are wonderful! They always do their best for my daughter. They are mother-like to her so I don't even go in anymore because both of us trust them to take great care of her and treat her with dignity. Something often tends to go wrong with the initial orders and they are so helpful getting it resolved. My daughter hasn't needed IV saline therapy for a long time, thankfully, but it was wonderful coming in to find the familiar, caring nurses still working in this department.

I brought my wife to the ER about 7 this morning and the on duty crew responded immediately. Doctors, nurses and the techs were ALL hands on deck!! Every test that was needed was done but the most important was the bedside manners. We were made to feel welcome and not simply as patients. Every doctor that came in listen and heard everything my wife had to say. Then they explained everything in details so we're not only comfortable but understanding what was going on. This went a long way in giving us a sense of peace and that we were in capable hands. There was an administration error on wife's date of birth that was causing an admission headache. The young man handling the paperwork resolved the problem, merge the records, printed a new wrist band and got me a coffee!!! This hospital definitely knows the meaning of "Patient Care"!

Long: I'm a nurse who was recommended this clinic strictly for Dr. Chokshi, whom I did like very much. Unfortunately she left the practice and I can't blame her one tiny bit. The Good: There was a single, nice medical assistant who gave me my allergy shots. That is the single only thing I can say was a good experience. The Bad: Scheduling is atrocious with incorrect info, dates and times. Staff were so unprofessional. So disorganized I was amazed they can even keep the place running. I was given meds without being told what they were until I asked and forgotten about several times until I went to front to ask where my care provider was. They also have no training to be polite or nice. Never smiles, never looking up to see if you need help. Not to blame them directly, but my guess is it's a terrible place to run and they're only a symptom of the real problem: management. The whole facility is dilapidated and dirty. Fast food bathrooms are in better shape than their's. Barely toilet paper, no soap and nothing to dry hands with. Always dirty. I spent a whole day getting allergy shots and my only option to bring my own food was to use their super packed and also dirty fridge. Examples like this go on and on. It is NOT well cared for, and it's all indicative of how a practice is run, which brings me to.... The Ugly: I came in for an appointment and was told I was wrong, that I didn't have one that day. Then after I insisted I did have an appointment, and lots of hushed whispers, they inform me Dr. Chokshi left the practice. I had to practically beg to get seen that day by someone else (extreme allergy issues at home leaving me chronically miserable). After waiting an hour I finally got to see Dr. Vital himself and I'm so glad I did. It made my decision very easy to never step foot in that office again. He hurriedly does an exam while I try to ask questions. Tells me I have an infection (no details about what symptoms he saw, what kind of infection it is, only that I need antibiotic shot, steroid shot and B12 then to come back next week for more allergy shots. Several times he cut me off by shaking my hand and telling me he was going to take care of me, that he was an expert in my issue, that allergy shots would fix me up. I never got to ask my important questions and was treated like trash. With all the experience I've had in the medical field, to me this clinic puts profit over patients and tries to push allergy shots since they're serial and have provide constant revenue. I'm currently at a new allergist at a major hospital and they have so many other options for me to try before allergy shots are even considered..and they actually listen. The results didn't come in time, so we decided to do a Telemedicine visit to receive those results along with further blood work ordered that day. All these Cancer antigens. some scary stuff. I was given this telemedicine visit for 10/29/2024 due to the doctor being on vacation and not returning until then. I NEVER received a call so I call and I was told the doctor is busy, tomorrow he will call. Next day no call, I call again and was told the same thing. Doctor busy, tomorrow. Today is 11/01/24 , still no results, and now if you try calling the # 713-474-1414 it goes straight to voicemail. I have been calling daily with no answer or response.
