I had a phenomenal experience at Concentra urgent care. The front desk staff, the assistant, the doctor, and nurse were exceedingly kind. I really don't know what else to say except that I just enjoyed these people immensely and they made my experience so positive. I got the treatment and the medication I needed without having to explain myself more than once. The wait time was reasonable. The place is clean. No problems whatsoever. I cannot evaluate the medical professionals at Concentra Urgent Care, but I can tell you to AVOID this location if you are ever sent here for pre-employment drug screenings. This location is clearly not set up to provide efficient drug tests. Before showing up, I had called the center a few days prior and asked how long the tests would take. I was told to simply show up before 4:30 pm and that it take around 30 minutes. When I showed up and walked inside, there were around 20 sick people sitting in the lobby waiting to see the doctor or nurse practitioner. When I walked up to the counter, nobody greeted me. I stood there for 10+ minutes, and the three people working behind the counter didn't even acknowledge me. After waiting, one of the workers asked if I had been helped. I handed him my pre-employment drug screening paperwork. He then asked one of his colleagues about the current wait time. She told him that it would be a 2 to 3 hour wait. I asked if they had someone who could simply do the drug test, because I did not need to be seen by the doctor or nurse. They told me that they only have 1 medical professional working. They told me that I would have to wait behind the 20+ people sitting in the lobby. This type of business should not be doing pre-employment drug screening. They are clearly not prepared to handle this procedures in a reasonable amount of time. This is a medical clinic where sick people come to be seen by a doctor or nurse practitioner. A 2 to 3 hour wait for a drug test is absolutely ridiculous and completely unacceptable. If you are in need of drug screening, I would recommend you consider one of the Fastest Labs locations in the Atlanta area. Their process takes around 15 minutes, and there is typically no wait. read more

I've been a customer at this clinic since 2018 to obtain FMCSA-required 'Medical Card' for Commercial Truck Driving. Ms. Williams & staff have always answered all my questions and treated me with efficiency and happiness. I drive past numerous other clinics to visit this specific location b/c of their knowledgable staff. Couple suggestions- + This is a VERY BUSY clinic- bring something to read with you. + Treat the staff politely; they're busy juggling lotsa demands. + List the Aldi a few doors down before/after your appointment and pick up a little snack (or gift card?) for 'em. I had the misfortune of needing to stop in here yesterday after a work injury. The facility is very comfortable and clean, with snacks, coffee/tea selections, and bottled water available for free while you wait. When I checked in, a very pleasant receptionist explained the process and gave me a very detailed wait time to temper my expectations (btw they got me in and out in under the 2 hour 20 minute expected time they first told me). Once I was checked in, I waited in the waiting area until a very sweet nurse called me back and took my vitals, a detailed history, and set me up in an examination room. A short time after, the doctor came in and went through her examination and recommendations. All in all it was a fairly quick and easy process, and everyone was super pleasant and helpful. They even called me the following day to check on me! Hopefully I'll never need to come back, but if I do, I know I'll be taken care of here! read more

Helpful hints to the staff. When a customer is upset and on the phone to corporate...don't sit behind the desk and laugh and whisper about her. As a separate client waiting in the office...it's rude and childish. And then to continue to talk about the situation after she left in the lobby..is incredible unprofessional. P.s. we've been waiting for 2 hours to get a wound rechecked after being here Monday for 3.5 hours. Monday, we were told the recheck would be quick and nothing like the wait on Monday. Lies. Don't take the patient back there to just sit in a room by himself. He could've stayed in the lobby til you were ready. Nevermind having an appointment. This place was wonderful! When I walked inside I thought to myself, "This place must be new because it is CLEAN." Everything is pristine, well taken care of, large, and very inviting. It was the exact opposite of what I expected walking into an Urgent Care Center. I called this office in advance of coming, as this is not the closest location to me, to determine the wait time. I was told it would be about 45 min - 1 hr which sounded great compared to the 3 - 3.5 hr wait time at the downtown location. I arrived at the center around 1:00PM, about 40 min after my call. I walked right up, the receptionist talked to me about the wait before-hand and apologized in advance. I expected the wait time to fluctuate with a walk-in center, but I appreciated the thoughtfulness with which she delivered this information. I filled out the necessary paperwork and gave over my ID and Insurance card, at which point the receptionist offered me snacks, water, and coffee located in the lobby. I hadn't eaten all day so I took her up on the offer. They had the television turned to HGTV (I was shocked because usually there is some children's show or soap opera on, which I don't prefer). The show was so good and the office was so calm, I didn't hear them when they called my name! I was taken back maybe 25 minutes after filling out all the paperwork. The young man who took me back was kind, patient, and very thorough with the pre-examination process. The longest wait was for the Physician to actually see me... I waited for about 1 hr in the exam room from the time the nurse took me back to the time the physician walked in. However, I could hear her in the hall with the man who came in right in front of me so I knew what was taking so long. When the doctor came in, she was so patient with me it felt like I was seeing a Primary Care Physician. She did not rush, she checked everything thoroughly, and most importantly, she LISTENED to me. I have made the decision, because my experience was so great, to forgo going to the Concentra that is closest to me for the physical therapy I was recommended, because I'd rather come here. Urgent (adj)- compelling immediate action If you truly need "urgent" care I would not recommend this place. On arrival we were told that the wait time to see a doctor was one and half hours, unfamliar with any other Urgent care in the area we choose to stay. Signed in at 12:37pm and exited the buiding at 3:05pm. I must admit though that the staff was professional, courteous and did a satisfactory job, nonetheless, they must address this time delay. Nice place, decent customer service. The few things that bothered me, I had a possible urinary / kidney infection with pain and fever: I did not see a Medical Doctor during my visit, only a Phys Asst., when the Dr called to follow up 2 days later I could not understand his poor English, my PCP said they should have take blood, and some of their basic equipment was not working properly (blood/pulse) machine. I'd return but not for anything too serious. read more

I sprained my trap muscles and visited here one afternoon. The place is incredibly clean and the staff was very friendly, specifically my doctor and the receptionist. The day I went was a weekday around lunch so it was fairly empty and was seen almost immediately. My only complaint is that they use an electronic system to send out prescriptions and that takes about 2 hrs. Mine took longer. I will be returning if there are any unforeseen minor emergencies in the future. read more

The location appearence is fine but not exceptional. However my issue started when it came to dealing with my insurance the office staff was awful and rude. They didn't even call my insurance to verify my benefits and when I told them it seemed wrong they were extremely rude. I had to have my insurance company call the location, which was a painful experience. From there my insurance company had to call their corporate office to explain further and only then did we get a friendly response. I can't imagine what would have happened if I didn't ask so many questions, they would have overcharged me without a second thought. I will never be returning and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

This place is clean and friendly but is not properly staffed. The Marietta location has more staff according to them. This one only has one doctor. I had a short window of time and got here when it opened at 8am and there were 4 of us waiting. No doctor ever showed up. Apparently there was a mix up. They don't have nurses that can see you so now I've wasted my time and am still sick with no meds. I should have gone down the street to wellstreet who was open and had doctors. read more

Immaculate office, extremely friendly staff and that's about it.The extremely sweet technician took my medical history and went over my medications in the hallway, total HIPPA violation not to mention the lack of privacy! Once I was in the room I could hear everything the other patients being triaged in the hallway were saying. I've never been to a place where not only were the urine cups not sterile, but they didn't even have lids and appeared to be reusable, yuck! Plus I'm pretty sure that has to be a JACHO (agency that ensures healthcare organizations are following standards of practice for care). Without knowing my background as an ER Nurse and Nurse Practitioner, the NP walked in the room reviewed my symptoms, asked me what medication usually works for me, and walked out. She never even laid a hand much less a stethoscope on me! I do a more thorough assessment as an ED nurse. Nurse Practitioners are wonderful and provide excellent thorough care, usually, this women gives NPs a bad name. After telling me my results were positive, the NP wasn't able to give me the exact details of a "positive" result. One of my meds. was called into my pharmacy immediately, the other script arrived to the pharmacy about 1 1/2 hours after I picked up my antibiotic and now I get to make a second trip to the pharmacy! Although very pretty and clean, unless you are a healthcare professional that can diagnosis and treat yourself ( with Concentra writing you a prescription), skip this place and go somewhere with real medical PROFESSIONALS. read more

Probably one if the most unprofessional urgent cares I have every been to and the taller black girl (Shannon/Sharon) with the glasses at the at the front counter was absolutely rude. During the hour wait I watched to see how she interacted with patients and she was nice to all of the patients who were not white. She was rude and talked to all of the white patients as if she was irritated with them. Not only this, but she stood there at the counter talking about drinking Jack Daniels. Not really a professional topic for the workplace. She also stood there at the counter venting and complaining about how irritated she was with work that day. My mind is blown that Concentra would allow someone like this to work here. I got there around 2 PM in the afternoon and the front desk lady told me it would be about a 2 1/2 hour wait time. Since my regular doctor is booked for a week I decided to wait it out and the front desk staff was so sweet and friendly and super apologetic for the wait. When I got to the back it was a different story. I went in complaining of a sore throat sinus pressure and earache. The physician refuse to do a strep test didn't check my ears and told me it was sinuses and prescribe me a Z pack and Allegra. When I asked for cough medicine to soothe my symptom the doctor refused to write me any saying she didn't want me to become addicted. I understand that some medications are addictive but it is unfair for her not to prescribe any when you were legitimately sick and she doesn't know anything about your personality. It was really a waste of time and money and now I have to go see my regular physician to actually get checked out read more

Generally I would not bother, but I was literally so frustrated with this visit and the bill, that I have also reported them to the BBB to stop anyone else from going through the same thing.. Please do not go here.. what a rip off. First of all I have a lot of chest congestion issues due to my asthma, I went in with a cough, and told her that was my only issue, that it's been there for a while, and that I had an upper respiratory infection most likely bacterial, but that I wanted to get a prescription so it didn't turn into bronchitis or pneumonia of which I've had both... I couldn't go to my doc that day due to work, so I went after work as not miss work... And my doc wasn't going to be in till the following week, so I had no choice really... The doctor there then says my throat is a little red, so she wants to test me for strep... Um no, i proceed to tell her I've had my tonsils and adenoids out since I was a child and haven't had strep in ages... While its still possible to get strep without these things its unlikely for me.. I told her I used to get strep chronically as a child, and that I knew what strep felt like. So after having to refuse her suggestion, I told her, look you need to do a blood test and check to make sure it's not something serious. They did, I was right it was bacterial, I proceed to tell her what prescriptions I need after her awful suggestions to give me a medicine that takes 10 days, I said, please just prescribe me a Z pac, it's 5 days and a a low dose steroid for 5 days to help my lungs recover fast, and a cough medicine... She did give me the z pac but refused the other meds I needed forcing me to use whatever I had left from previous prescriptions from the same ailment from my real doctor. So now they are attempting to collect 127.67 for ME telling THEM what to do... This was not my first bad encounter, but it was the only place in range that took my insurance... sigh, never again. read more
