I had an appointment last week to have a checkup on my hearing aids. With my mask in place, I opened the door and presumed that , since my appointment was in the afternoon, several people had touched the door knob. On entering I asked the unmasked receptionist for hand sanitizer. She looked around and found it behind some items on her desk. I sat in the waiting room in a chair where I could see down the hall. The audiologist stepped unmasked into the hallway with the unmasked patient she had just worked with, said goodbye to her and motioned for me to come into the same room. Obviously she had not sanitized the chair I was to sit in or her desk and did not wash her hands. I was in the room with her for about 30 minutes at about 4 feet apart. The audiologist touched my phone, though she did not touch me or my hearing aids. She never put on a mask and as I left her room called in the next patient. Totally unacceptable behavior during COVID-19. read more
