It has come to our attention this morning that Eva has not been dressed for her occupational…read moretherapy, even though the house supervisor had been called in earlier this morning. She now has five minutes before her occupational therapy and will have to get dressed, which decreases her therapy time We would like a call from someone besides the house supervisor or the case manager. My mother-in-law was left on the toilet this morning for over 20 minutes by herself, even though there is a tag saying she is not to be left alone outside of the restroom door. The Aides this past week have put her pants on backwards, have not once encouraged her to drink, even though she's on the " once sip more program" which is also not noted outside of her room, on one occasion when I spent the night there her bed alarm went off. No one arrived for more than 10 minutes and certainly not in a hurry. On other occasions, I had to remind the staff to turn her alarm on. They stated she did not need it as I was there, but was also reprimanded that she should not get out of bed without a staff member. On the occasions that I was there, I was left to tend to her for myself. due to visual constraints, she is unable to use the call button. She was not checked in on on a regular basis. On the occasions when I was not there, there were often urination issues, which is disappointing since she is not incontinent Dominique, her aid for most of this week tends to sit up the desk outside of the door on her phone texting. . Some of these issues were brought up to Jim her case manager. We tried to notify the manager who was off for the day and were then sent to the voicemail of Kristin in the marketing department. The therapy departments seem to be doing very well. We have grave concerns about safety issues.

He attended lighthouse for a year and is now in mainstream school and his academic skills are 1-2 years ahead of his classmates. The 1 to 1 therapy is priceless. He would come home a different boy every day, in a positive way, and whenever we did have a setback, the therapists would be on the phone with me or contacting me through emails so I knew what was happening, what they did and most importantly, what my husband and I could do to keep his progress moving forward. He now writes well, has friends and is going into first grade. When he was in Kindergarten, they transitioned him into the classroom with a therapist to help him make the transition smoothly. THIS WAS AMAZING! They also are there for you for life! We saw him slipping after Christmas break and they were back into meetings with me and his teachers offering advice. Lighthouse is a place that literally is changing the world. So many more kids are being diagnosed on the spectrum and they can do wonders with those children that are severe to high functioning. I started PT with a bone spur in my foot and worked with a therapist but the exercises I was doing…read morecould easily be done at home. I used a dishtowel, a poster they took off the wall, etc. but needed to have my range of motion measured, so no biggie. My normal therapist was out one evening so I had another and he pushed the top of my foot back and we felt a pop. He kept saying, "you don't have a bone spur, you have a cyst." I told him that I saw the x-ray with my doctor and it was a bone spur. As the night past, he kept mentioning the swelling and swore it was a cyst. It didn't really hurt at first but had discomfort by the time I left. The next day I went to my podiatrist and got another x-ray and the spur had broken off and cut my Achilles tendon requiring surgery. I never returned to ACI. Fast forward a year later. I get a text message that I have been turned over to collections for non-payment of $254. I thought it was a scam but contacted ACI to confirm. The female said that I did owe and it had in fact been turned over to collections. I asked why I had never been contacted and she said that they had mailed a letter each month for 5 months. I know this to be a lie because I confirmed my address, I get daily USPS emails about what mail I am receiving and there are only myself and my husband in our household and at no time did a letter ever arrive. Needless to say, I immediately called the collections agency and paid my bill, which I would have done a year ago, had they told me that I had a balance! However, the female at ACI could not tell me what I actually owed for, since my insurance was paying as well as me also paying my co-pay through the ATI portal. I just didn't want damage to my credit score but I will be digging further into this issue!!!!
