Got hooked up with a great knee surgeon. Replacement went great. Waiting now to do the other knee

Normally, I would not write a review, but, after needing multiple surgeries following an automobile accident, Concord Orthopedics was life changing!!! I used Dr. Mollano for my hand surgery, he was WONDERFUL, years later my scars are almost unseen. I had knee surgery was with Dr. Moran, yet again a wonderful experience!!! Finally, Just last year I needed to have a full hip replacement at the age of 52, Dr. Burns, was absolutely amazing!!! Today I am hiking, skiing, and golfing better than before, completly pain free. I feel amazing and highly recommend Concord Orthopedics!! Thank you to all the staff and doctors who helped put me back together. Concord Orthopedics rocks :) read more

Avoid Dr. Brummett at all costs! He is great when all goes well, but when he did my back fusion, something happened in surgery which caused nerve damage a week later and I was back in the hospital. He had no idea what to do with me, told me my nerves were wired differently than others and that maybe my pain was all in my head I have permanent nerve damage with L5, causing a partial drop foot for the rest of my life. I went to Dr. Jenkins at NH Neurospine and he told me that if there is damage done during surgery, how it would manifest, and it was exactly what happened. On top of this during post op office visit, I overheard Brummett yelling at a staff member on the phone with many f bombs. If that was me, I would have hung up on him and speak with him only if he could be respectful. His argument was they they weren't sending enough new patients to him! STAY AWAY!!!!!! read more

My primary care Doctor had me get an Xray of my right hip, and the results were severe degenerative changes/arthritis. She referred me to a Orthopedist. Chose Concord Orthopedics in Londonderry as they were covered on my insurance. Got an appointment with Lawrence O'Malley, PA. The appointment was on a Friday at 4:00 p.m. I got greeted with Why are you here today. I asked him to tell me what my Xray revealed and what my course of action was. Hip replacement was his response.... no explanations, no show of why this is the best course of action. No alternatives or reasons why postponing for now is okay or not okay. Just cold and non-caring. I was pretty shocked as I am not in pain. I asked if I could have physical therapy and maybe would that help? He said sure, I'll write you a script if that's what you want. He just wanted to get out and start his weekend. The Front desk woman was very sweet and helpful booking a follow up. Never want to see that man again and DO NOT RECOMMEND! Not sure if I would have this practice do my hip replacement if that is what I have to do. He was not very informative or caring. Did he even think for one minute that hearing a diagnosis like that is kind of a big deal and could shock me or anyone? No bed side manor! read more

As another reviewer stated, I also cannot understand all the negative reviews, especially re the scheduling staff. My late mother was a patient of a number of doctors at Concord Orthopaedics, her most ongoing provider being Dr. Shirley. I've had wonderful care from Dr. Noordsij for knee issues, a broken arm, dislocated shoulder and torn rotator cuff. I'm also very thankful to have Dr. Shirley as my rheumatologist. He is understanding, patient, gives you the time you need, is great with followup in care that's coordinated with my primary care physicians at Family Tree in Hopkinton. He's been a tremendous help for a number of years in treating various autoimmune issues, one of which is quite rare, and is conservative with medications or other interventions first preferring to go with physical therapy when it's the actual best option. I credit his skill for my ability to still be able to have the quality of life I do, including being able to continue to work in a profession I love well beyond the "retirement age". I teach at a college in the area and with his continued wisdom and care I hope to continue doing so for a number of years more! Between my mother and myself, I'd guess that the years of care we've received from a number of doctors (including surgeons) and other providers at Concord Orthopaedics, as well as the wonderful Critical Care Injury clinic they have on the weekends, is well more than 35. I was told that my pain was due to my SI joint and was scheduled for an injection. I got the injection and did not get any relief. When I went back to see my doctor at CO, I was asked why I was there. His office told me to schedule another appointment with him about this so I would have thought that he would have known why I was there!!! When I told him that the injection didn't work he said, well maybe it's not your SI joint, what do you think? I said...ummm...that's why I am here.....you're the doctor!! I went and got a second opinion at Advanced Orthopaedics in Gilford and it isn't my SI joint..it is my back. Another time, one other doctor told me that I had a torn rotator cuff and he gave me an order for PT. Turns out I don't have a torn rotator cuff. I just don't understand how they can make these diagnoses and be so off base. Never again. I am glad they are out of the hospital in Laconia! read more

Dr. Mollano was Excellent. I have seen many doctors in my time, Dr. Mollano Is the real deal. He listens to what you have to say and tells you things straight up. He doesnt beat around the bush, he doesn't order unnecessary tests. I Highly recommend him and Concord Orthopedics. Keep up the Excellent work. I had a herniated disc. Dr. McEnterfer walked me through the non-surgical and surgical options. I tried non-surgical and it did not work (a risk I knew and understood before trying it), so we proceeded with surgery. Dr. M was professional, thorough, and an excellent surgeon. I woke up from surgery with the pain gone. I cannot say enough good things about this team. ARPN Sarah Neal was an amazing light through our time at the hospital, and we had a very successful outcome. Very pleased with my experience at Concord Ortho. read more

I've seen a few physicians at Concord Ortho, and have had a stellar experience each time. I have long-term issues with my back and wouldn't trust my back to anyone but Dr. Levy! Dr's Resnick, Klingler and Nagel are also fantastic and are all highly recommended. read more

I simply can not say enough good things about this place. We were seen at a hospital up north, and I didn't feel comfortable with their plan for my daughter. I called Concord Ortho and they said to just start driving. I mentioned that it was nearly closing time and I was an hour away, and they said just get here, we'll stay open. We arrived, were seen immediately, and scheduled for surgery the next day. Dr. Urbanek & the entire staff was great on the day of her surgery, as well as the many visits we've had since she broke her radius and ulna. Run! Run as fast as you can from this practice. The front desk is staffed by some of the rudest and nastiest people I have ever met!!! Was referred here for a broken wrist after a terrible fall. My partner called to schedule the appointment we had been referred for and they were positively rude from the start. I would sooner set my own break and use duct tape then deal with this practice ever again. read more

Over 20 years ago I was diagnosed with RA. I've had terrible swelling, chronic pain in my back hips and knees. I've been receiving cortisone shots every 4-5 months for my knees for awhile. I have degeneration in both knees. Today I went in for my scheduled appointment for my injections but was told to go to therapy since the other 50 times were not enough. I already do all the exercises they gave me almost daily. Exercise is only going to help my muscles not replace the missing cartilage. Concord Orthopedics failed me as a patient and it would be a cold day in hell if I go back or refer anyone. read more

I was having terrible pain in my right leg. I saw Larry O'Malley, PA. He really took the time to listen to my problem. He sent me to Alan Parzick, PA and Dr. Brummett to look at my spine. They ordered an MRI which was done in-house. After reviewing the MRI, I was sent to Dr. Tang who did 2 epidural injections in the day surgery center in Derry, NH. I am doing very well now thanks to the talented and efficient staff. Everyone from the initial evaluation to the MRI to the day surgery center was wonderful. I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

The Doctor's at concord orthopedic may be good but there scheduling department is horrible understaffed we waited over a week just to hear back from them which never did happen I had to call back every day with the scheduling telling me she had 300 faxes to sort through before they could call me back. I can not say how absolutely dissatisfied I was when went for my scheduled appointment. My appointment was scheduled for 3:40pm. I arrived at 3:30. I completed all the paper work that was requested. I continued to sit and wait in the waiting room as other patients came and went. Finally at 4:05 I inquired at the reception desk if the provider was running behind. Just then the medical assistant called my name. I proceeded to the exam room and was quickly taken for x-ray. All of this probably didn't take more than 10 min. I was back in the exam room by 4:15. Never once did the MA or anyone else mention that the provider I was scheduled to see was running behind. While I was waiting for the provider to see me, I could here the staff out at the nurses station as clear as day discuss Halloween, costumes, Girl Scouts, Girl Scout cookies and I could even here them call "Alexis" at least 5 times to inquire who sang a particular song!! I heard of their upcoming plans for the weekend. I have NEVER encountered such unprofessional behavior. Now during all this time, never once did someone come in to update me on when the provider would be in to see me. Finally at 5 PM, 1 1/2 hrs after my arrival, I had still not been seen nor was I informed of when I would be seen, I dressed and walked out. This is TOTALLY unacceptable. I work in a doctors office and if my staff were to behave like this they would be fired! A patients time is just as valuable as the provider that they are seeing. I took time off from work to come in for this appointment and expected to be able to return in a timely fashion. I will NEVER return to this office nor would I recommend anyone else consider going here. They have become so big and impersonal, they have forgotten about the patient. There is no excuse for staff not to periodically check in with patients to inform them if the provider is running behind and offer to reschedule if they can not wait or even check with them to see if they need anything. I was absolutely horrified by this experience and left there unseen and in pain. Concord Orthopedics has failed me, and being in the health profession myself, will never recommend them to anyone, instead discourage them from going there. It is a well know fact that when a patient is satisfied with their provider, they may tell a few people of their experience, but when a patient has had a negative experience they will tell the world. One star. I like the idea of the walk in clinic but that's not my experience.... The doctor was abrupt and dismissive. They messed up my copay billing and when I called to straighten it out the billing clerk wasn't much better. I'd avoid this place if possible they are kind of jerks. read more

The speed, arrogance, and hubris of Mollano was upsetting. In his rush, he didn't listen to me at all, hurt while while splinting my finger, and when I gasped, he squeezed tighter and said, "It shouldn't hurt this much." What a jerk. Never go to this place. read more

Worst hospital experience of my life. I have a broken ankle which requires surgery and got sent out with a date for a CT scan. No meds(not even Tylenol), no follow up date and no advice as best way to manage the pain. Time he says...thanks doc. The staff was extremely self absorbed, rude and have horrible bedside manors. Waiter for over 30 minutes before we were even acknowledged. Staff was laughing and joking the whole time, hey, at least some people were enjoying the experience. I was recommended to come here and I will never curse anyone to come to this hellspitol. Stay away!!! read more

Always late and today we waited 1 hour to actually see the doctor. No one is ever happy, helpful, nice; the entire office is really not great to be at. Dr. Urbanek is supposed to be a child doctor, yet he is rude, confrontational, and non-educational. We asked countless times throughout 2 years of visits with still no actual information on the medical condition. He is a nightmare, rude, and would never go there again. read more

Good providers and check out staff but front desk staff incredibly rude. A man waiting in line with me to check in joked that there should be chairs in line as we had been waiting for several minutes. The receptionist told him that if we were supposed to be checking in at the kiosk and the other said she was just signing on to her computer. Would have been nice if they had just said "oh by the way the new kiosks are near the front door could you sign in there" rather than say "I'll be right with you" when we arrived only to bite our heads off after. read more

I saw Russell Brummett, MD this morning for a back problem. He was extremely, rude, obnoxious, wouldn't let me talk and practically called me a liar. If you can get an appointment to see these guys, you are in luck. They have a walk in center in Concord, they will give you an Xray, even schedule an MRI, but if you would like a follow up to see a doc so they can try to explain what happened or what the prognosis is, forget that, 3 weeks out. This is so bad, and so against what they say on their web site, it is actually a joke. Do yourself a favor, don't even risk getting upset, just go somewhere else. You will save yourself the hassle and start to get the care you need quicker, which is what you actually need. I always judge a business by if they show someone you can contact to 'complain' to, I don't really want to complain, I want to find a resolution, but a front desk woman is unable to assist. Not a mention of anyone else, office manager, etc.. nothing, hence this Yelp review. read more

Horrible!!!! RUN far away from this place!! Mr. Milano is absolutely incompetent..he was running one HR late for my son's surgery on this past Friday,then rushed a 1.5-3 he surgery to 31mi s!!!!! I had to request the OR report to prove it was rushed. Now they called and just told me that DR Milano can't keep the Post OP appointment!!!!! I have had multiple experiences with Concord Ortho seeing different doctors. While they are an extremely busy practice, the care my family has received has always been thoughtful and professional. Dr. Moran was exceptional in his care of my daughter's ACL reconstruction. It was an extremely stressful time and I couldn't say anything negative about his care. read more

I have always been impressed with the support staff. The receptionist and Medical assistants are nice and helpful. I have been a patient of Dr Resnick for about 5 years. He is pleasant and helful. I recently had a back issue that was not quite a clear diagnosis and saw Alan Parzick. He was polite, but didn't take time to ask me questions and I had to suggest that I get additional stretching exercises. On my second visit he mis-stated that my pain had changed areas and never gave me a clear path for help I felt I needed. I left not really knowing what to do next to get better? Needless to say... I am looking for another Dr to help with my back and was disappointed with that experience. read more

It's pretty bad when a Dr. will not even defend his diagnosis from a phys. asst., but that is the doctors here. They will not answer questions, they will not explain anything about why you hurt; hell they will not even show you your MRI. If you question him then he says you are attacking him and ends the appointment, no ifs ands or buts, you are done! I was so overwhelmed with his empathy that I wanted to hug him (serious sarcasm there, actually wanted to strangle him). If you have seen the tv show House then you know what no bed side manner really is. He makes House look like a cuddly teddy bear. And god forbid if you are in any pain.The new rules that went into effect 01/01/2017 allow for doctors to prescribe up to 95 mg of a controlled drug (read opiate). I have had pain 24/7 since Dec. 2016 and this clinic does not care, no meds period. They do not even know how the pain clinics work, no meds. there, either, for the diagnosis given. Oh yeah this was the Phys. asst., who told me that my doctor did not know what he was talking about and his diagnosis was wrong. So if you are looking for orthopaedics help definitely DO NOT look hear!!!! Go somewhere else! I always thought that a Dr. took an oath "to do no harm". Apparently not at Concord Orthopaedics. They really need to remember that failure to treat someones pain is neglect... read more

I have been seeing doctors at Concord Orthopedic for the last 15 years and have had nothing but great things to say about all of them. Since I have severe arthritis, I've been treated by a rheumatologist, a back surgeon, a knee surgeon and an ankle surgeon at that practice. All of the doctors have been professional and very helpful. At no time did I experience rudeness from either the people at the desk or from the doctors. This is a very busy practice, so the doctors don't have a lot of time to just chat but despite that, they have never let me down and have always steered me in the right direction. I would highly recommend Concord Orthopedics to anyone who has an issue with their bones. read more

I'm in my early 70's and over the years had both knees operated on. The left one once in 1971 and the right one twice in 1974 and 2010. I reached the point I had bone on bone constant pain with every step on my right knee. I'm a Vietnam Veteran and was referred by the VAMC and the Concord office was my choice based upon my neighbors report that had great results after back surgery. I had pre-surgery meetings with Concord Ortho so I knew what was going to happen. I had a complete knee replacement and by the 3rd week was off of a cane or a walker. My progress was rapid and I had several followups with Dr Dion. Their care and information has been great and I'm now pain free. read more

Waited a couple of months for an appointment which was worth the wait because I loved the physician I saw. Had never been there before. They did forget to call in the prescription, however, so I called after a week to say they need to call it in. The girl on the phone was rude and asking me how I used a past medication which was really not her business to be asking me. When my answer was too vague for her she got irritated and raised her voice. I simply needed the Dr. to call or fax the prescriptions in. When I told her not to yell at me she back peddled and became nice in a phony way. Not impressed. read more

Go some place else to start!! The customer service at this place is awful. They are extremely condescending (especially Barbara in the office) and clearly do not care about the patient. It is all about making money for them. They rush you on the phone, barely answer questions and on two occasions I have been told one thing only to be told something different from them by someone else in the office who then proceeded to act like I didn't know what I was talking about when I told them what I was just told the day before. i had an appointment with dr clark. i've waited 4 weeks, in pain and unable to work, for a 15 minutes appointment with this specialist. dr. clark has no bedside manner, didn't want to listen to my concerns/ how i have been feeling and or managing. he assumed, that since i'm an individual that looks younger than my age, that my issue was an easy claim that he can just send to the insurance and get paid. his medical assistant was no better- she treated me like cattle, and wanted to process me through to move to her next patient. needless to say dr. clarke gave me a return to work note releasing me to full duty- when i can't even bend over to tie my shoes, or even go up a flight of stairs without having my back and knees give out. i had to go through the agravation, and use my time to soeak to the practice manager lisa, to get the note corrected and have them submitt a orior authorization to my insurance to get an mri scheduled*** dr. clarke didn't do his job at all whatsoever in the 15 minutes that my allotted appointment was for. i had to go through this unsavory experience due to his unprofessional manner and staff!! to this day i dont even know what is wrong with me he gave me absolutely no answers-- only aggravation. dr. clarke is one of the founders of copa. which leads me to believe due to the unsavory 15 minutes experience that i had with this butcher, that most of the practitioners in this practice are incompetent, with no regards or bedside manners for their patients-- as well , i dont understand why their medical assistant / clinical staff acts so entitled with no sympathy/ kindness at all...their reception staff doesnt even know how to answer the phone correctly- instead of saying " concord orthopedics, how may i help you?" -- you just get a " hello what you want" - and half of the time they drop your call and try to pass the buck...no help at all no customer service manner. --- be forewarned, i wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. read more

Concord Orthopaedics has consistently been an extraordinary provider of services for me as well as my family members for many, many years. I am grateful for the excellence of care now, especially from my rheumatologist, Dr. Hoke Shirley. All ancillary staff are also pleasant and professional. However, additionally, Dr. Noordsij has been superb in dealing with me when I had a very tricky break in my right foot; also another time when I broke my upper arm, dislocated my shoulder and tore my rotator cuff; he also provided excellent care for a miniscus issue in my left knee. This, being a sports medicine practice, is dedicated to bringing you back to your optimum quality of life and function. I cannot say enough good things about the exceptional care I receive from Dr. Shirley as I have a chronic issue. He is thorough, precise, highly skilled, compassionate and the philosophy of care at Concord Orthopaedics is truly collaborative, including listening well to the concerns of their patients. I do not understand the less than positive reviews I have read about this practice as both my parents and I have over the years been more than happy with the services of no fewer than 5 of their physicians. I cannot recommend them more highly. read more

I have seen a number of the doctors at Concord Orthopaedics for various body parts over the years and have been quite pleased with the care I have been given. I first saw Dr. O'Connor for my knee after having been pretty much brushed off by several orthopedist who couldn't seem to be bothered since I wasn't a jock. Thru an appropriate PT referral my knee pain was almost gone after one month, while I had been shuffled around for decades. I have had just as great care from their back specialist (herniated disc), hand specialist (broken finger), foot specialist (neuroma, plantar fasciitis and bone spur). Having been an RN for over 35 years, I know good care when I get it. Their staff, from secretaries to nurses have also been wonderful. read more
