Due to staff error, my license was mistakenly given to another guest. When I asked management to help retrieve it so I could leave, I was told the guest was at work, there was no guarantee she'd return, and I should just go home and come back the next day. I was essentially being asked to drive without my license and hope a stranger would bring it back later. That is neither safe nor reasonable. After management claimed there was nothing more they could do, I had no choice but to call the police, as I could not legally leave without my ID. Even law enforcement had difficulty getting the guest's contact information from management. Thankfully, the police were able to resolve the issue, and the guest's husband returned to exchange IDs. What stood out most was the lack of care after the situation was resolved. I waited at the entrance while managers continued casual conversations with staff. Even after my license was returned to the building, no one came to give it to me. I had to get up and ask for it myself, as if the entire situation had slipped their minds. The issue wasn't just the mistake--it was how dismissive and unprofessional the response was afterward. Guests deserve better communication, urgency, and respect, especially when personal identification is involved. I hope this review helps others make informed decisions and encourages this location to do better.

They also have a good selection of weights. The negatives are that it does get pretty busy on some nights, so you may have to wait for certain machines or areas. Also, they are currently adding more equipment and remodeling. The issue is things are feeling super cramped, and if it's busy it's really tight in there. In 4 months, I lost 5 1/2 inches in my waist, lost 2 inches in my hips, gained an inch in my arms and 1/2 in my legs and chest, and lost almost 10 pounds. I also can lift a lot heavier than when I started. The personal trainers are very friendly and professional as well as all of the staff. There is a good variety of equipment and the gym is always clean. Also, I have been taking a lot of the classes and the instructors have been great. The classes are so much fun! Everyone is just so nice and I always am excited to go there. I look forward to continuing to work with my awesome personal trainer Raphael Paz (he also goes by Raph) and see even more gains.

I literally had to drive 1.5 hours to get to this location just to cancel and was met with additional fees. All around highly do not recommend this gym unless you don't have other options. Be careful of the cancellation when you do move because they will not hesitate to steal your money.

Additionally, I've experienced the brand new top shelf Lifetime in Cary NC...world of difference in service, equipment (of course new) , AND true spa like feel in the men's locker room...down to lockers have 'bumpers' on them so when they are shut they are quiet. 1. NOISE! Men's spa area is so loud I have to wear airbuds to escape the constant yammering of others in the steam and sauna. 2. Tired Equipment and in consistent amenities- I joined for the quality of equipment and mainly access to steam and dry sauna- Equipment is worn out...bikes, cable machines, benches, accessories for gym equipment in general need replacement. Machines sit dormant waiting for repair often...and Steam room is constantly inconsistent and temperatures in dry sauna are below recommended temps. Did I also mention how LOUD it is in the 'Quiet Area.' 3. Towel service is 1 STAR....and unacceptable. Last night and many days/nights the shelves in the locker area are bare with NO TOWELS....I literally had to walk the locker room to find a clean towel to dry off with. 4. Family Friendly. YES! It should be...but now that school/college is on summer break the gym experience is fraught with kids being kids.. from locker room to gym floors...absolute chaos... 5. Showers- The entire shower area is a mess a lot of the time, but especially last night....walk into a shower and someone left towels inside stall....No attendants cleaning up or restocking towels...counters full of water, etc. NOT A PREMIUM EXPERIENCE! I truly enjoy investing in my health and consider Lifetime a splurge in my budget....BUT I continually leave shaking my head at the level of service...quality...and inconsistency....even the 'simple things' from a staff person, like Have a good night...hope you had a nice workout.
