To find anything close to this you'd have to travel to Charlotte or farther. Even batting cage facilities like this in Charlotte don't have a golf simulator, Pickle ball, fitness classes, basketball, HITTRAX and an indoor soccer area all in one spot! Not to mention they have a lounge area with a big TV to keep you entertained while your waiting on your son or daughter to get in the reps they need. You can rent out time slots for various training areas, or even schedule to have your team use the facility. We showed up a half hour before they closed and the parking lot was packed with cars. I thought there was no way anyone would be there on a late Wednesday night, boy was I wrong! They currently have some weekend events of small group training with local professionals for Softball/Baseball. Friday nights they have 'Fun Nights' for the youth to come have pizza and watch a movie or enjoy the various parts of the facility while the parents hang out or they can go out for a dinner date for a couple hours. (Imagine that, a date with your wife!) Forget Chucky Cheese, you can even rent out the facility for a birthday party! I was able to chat with owners for a little bit and they are awesome locals who just had a dream to do this and the opportunity presented itself. I'm excited to see what happens in the future for them and I'm glad we have such a great resource for the youth and college players locally to use. I hope they continue to grow and someday even offer equipment sales, even if its a small selection of accessories such as bat grip, gloves, etc. that would be great! Well why are you still reading?... Go get your bat and glove (or clubs if your into that) and go!

Originally built in the 1950s, the park was completely rebuilt in the 1970s in hopes of attracting a minor league team. It is a natural grass field. The park is of course closed during the pandemic (August 2020) but the sign out front says "K for the 2020 Grizzlies." A 'K' is a strikeout. Big parking lot and there are some other baseball fields across it where today, two folks were doing some batting practice. [Review 13738 overall, 1058 of 2020, number 2515 in North Carolina.]

The only downside was the rain, but it eventually stopped to reveal a nice double rainbow. Looks like the ballpark is undergoing some construction, but it's your typical ball field. Most of the bleachers are behind home plate. Didn't seem like there was a bad seat in the house. I hear that a Grizzlies game is fun to catch here and there are unique menu options... like nachos served in an inverted trash-can lid. It's just what it sounds like, but the lid (hopefully was not used as a trash lid in it's previous life) is lined with wax paper.... all the nacho goodness is dumped in the center and it comes with 2 krispy kreme donuts. The concept seems crazy, but people seemed to enjoy the hell out of them.

For my daughters ninth…read morebirthday, this past July, we agreed to find her a pitching coach (a hefty investment for our family). We experimented with several (four!) coaches at local popular training facilities, but no one seemed to be a good fit for our girl. I randomly stumbled upon LKN Pitching while Google searching batting cages, emailed Karen, and got an immediate friendly response. It was love at first lesson. She is a top notch PRO. Easily the best instructor we have ever worked with for any of our kids. Her technical expertise is unparalleled. She is laser focused on where you're athlete is, and knows how to incrementally get them to where they need to be. She doesn't miss a thing! Very in tune with her clients needs. Extremely motivational in her approach to coaching. Uses a variety of coaching tools that provide fun, engaging, useful ways for your child to lean new techniques. Always patient. You will see HUGE progress very quickly with Coach Karen. Frankly, I'm shocked she doesn't have more reviews. I can only assume that she is so coveted by her clients, they probably don't want to share!! I can empathize with that. So very challenging to find good teachers in any arena. When you get one as good as this, you want to hold on tight. Her facility is a perfect, clean, intimate space to get the attention your athlete needs and deserves. No distractions, no attitudes, just solid support. Bonus for homeschoolers, she provides morning and early afternoon lessons!!! Also very hard to come by. I truly can't recommend LKN Pitching enough. The transformation we have seen in our daughter since working with Coach Karen, is remarkable. Did I mention she runs her own travel ball team, LKN Krakens, and coaches varsity softball at SouthLake Christian?? This coach is a powerhouse! Grab her before she's gone.

Her approach to teaching is great, it's positive and knowledgeable. She takes her time to make sure your daughter learns the proper pitching techniques. My daughter always wanted to pitch but had never the opportunity to learn while playing, until this past season when we met coach Karen. Within couple lessons my daughter was able to start in a game with confidence. My daughter will be taking more lessons this winter to prepare her for spring ball. Thanks Karen
