Awesome place & top notch service! I came here for a bridesmaid dress alteration and I met the owner Phil. He was very friendly, polite, personable and thorough. He really wanted my dress to be the length it should be with the shoes I was going to wear but I didn't bring them with me, this shows how much he really wanted my dress to be perfect and I appreciate his extra care. When I was waiting to be measured, many patrons were coming in for pick up, he was on a first name basis with all and chatted more than small talk yet still speedy. Phil and I got to chatting and he was such a cool guy, we talked about where we both came from, our parent's work ethics, and of course info on how the dress would turn out. As he was finishing up I requested if he could save for me the scrap material of dress cut off so we could wrap our bouquets with them. Day of pickup, he remembered my name and dress was perfect, not 1 stitch out of place and behold my bag of scrap material for the bouquets. I don't recommend waiting until the last minute...HOWEVER....I had purchased a black suit last year and never had the opportunity to wear it. As a result of a sudden death in our family, I went to try on my suit to make sure it was clean and realized I had never gotten it altered. The sleeves of the jacket and hem on the pants needed to be done. I went to Concordville Cleaners and spoke to the sweet young lady (I don't know her name) and begged that they do it and have it back the next day. She called their other store, explained the situation and I immediately was on my way to Kennett Square to have the work completed. Both stores, as usual, went above and beyond for me. I had a great experience with Concordville Cleaners last month! Phil, the owner, runs a great operation. I brought in a bridesmaids dress for alterations for a wedding I was going to be in the day after Thanksgiving. Phil took measurements, made a few suggestions on alterations and also let me know that if I was comfortable wearing a heel just a 1/2 inch more than the shoe I initially planned on wearing, that I wouldn't even need it hemmed saving me money (which I absolutely appreciated). He told me he'd have it ready in 3 days which I thought was incredible! I picked up by dress 3 days later on my way out of town. Unfortunately due to my trip, I didn't have a chance to try the dress on until my return home the Monday of the week of the wedding. It turned out that the neck was taken in a too much and I wasn't able to fasten the dress. I rushed over to the shop and let Phil know I needed it fixed ASAP. Again this is 4 days before the event during thanksgiving week. He assured me it would be fixed at no charge and ready for pick up by Wednesday (since they were closed for Thanksgiving). Of course I was nervous given the time line but was so happy when I got the dress back home for the second time and saw that Phil's fix was fail-proof...he added multiple hooks so I'd be able to choose the most comfortable one. The dress fit perfectly and looked beautiful on thanks to the expert alternations. Another thing worth mentioning is the level of customer service. I have always had a good experience with this cleaner. However, they are a tad on the pricey side for how much business they receive. Recently I had a bad experience with them. My dry cleaning was supposed to be done on Tuesday, as I needed it for a wedding. However, when I came in Tuesday morning they did not have it ready. I had to find a different option for my wedding. When I came in to finally pick it up on Friday when I was free they still did not have it in the morning. I had to come in at night to pick it up. I was expecting my dry cleaning for free or for a discount. All I received was a smile. I am sorry Concordville Cleaners, but that is just not how good business is run. They got both of my pieces clean on the first try. One of the stains on my wife's jacket did not come out totally, so they did it again at no cost to me.
