Wow I really don't understand the one star reviews as we had a very positive experience. We requested a quote through their website and Jarad came out to review the site within a week. He gave us a very reasonable quote and we decided to move forward putting down the necessary deposit. When the site foreman came out to spray paint the outline of the patio for us, I realized we didn't make it large enough due to adding a hot tub and some outdoor furniture. They quickly did a re-quote and change order for the project. There was a slight delay to the project start due to rainy weather but that is not a big deal and it's nothing that could be avoided. So they arrived on Monday and did the excavation, concrete pour, stamp, and initial pigment all in one day. Day two they came back for the final pigment and sealer of the concrete. We also opted for the landscaping package so they re-seeded, fertilized and put down straw on the area where the trucks and heavy equipment accessed out back yard. Now on day two it's all complete and we couldn't be happier. The finish of the stamped concrete turned out great. This really was all quite easy and they came in slightly less than the other estimates we received from other companies. Also, the installation crew was very professional as well. They did an awesome job cleaning up after the job. They power washed all of the dirt from the driveway and street, cleaned and power washed the back of the house that had pigment powder on it, and left the property better than before. And a side note; we used this company about 13 years ago when they were called Stamped Concrete for a walkway to our front door, and that still looks great too. Again, not sure why so many 1 star reviews, but we are very happy with the project and their service. read more

So disappointed. They did our front walk and stoop in 2020, and there are several spots that are chipped already. We rarely use this entrance, so it is not from wear and tear. There are places that were not smoothed out and look jagged and rough. We have more than one spot where they clearly laid the stamp and then repositioned it. Not worth the price tag. read more

I am not associated with this company in any way. We had work done by them, and they are by far the most professional contracting company we have ever hired. They showed up when they said they would and worked 13 hour days on our new walkway and patio. The walkway was a HUGE undertaking, which required the removal of many railroad ties and bricks. The foreman, Matt, was professional and patient about my concerns. The crew were diligent, and the cleanup, flawless, with the yard reseeded in areas where the equipment had (necessarily) torn it up. Prior to the project, Chad, the project manager came out to let us know what to expect, which was a huge help in avoiding any stress we might have felt while watching the project take form. I was continually impressed by their responsiveness. Their hard work in the sweltering heat is greatly appreciated, and I am recommending them to anyone who has a concrete project they need to have done. read more

This company doesn't even deserve one star. They were a subcontractor for our builder, as well as majority, if not all the homes in the neighborhood. Multiple homeowners have been left with concrete dusting. A gigantic mess to clean up as well as fix. They took zero accountability for their mistake, builder took zero accountability and local permit guys could care less. Buddies taking care of buddies. Cost us thousands to fix the mess they left. Spent 14,000 on a new patio/pool deck. We loved it and everything looked great. We got one summer out of it before the concrete color surrounding the pool became very splotchy and uneven--it looks terrible! Before signing, we were told resealing would need to be done every 4-5 years. It lasted us ONE! We're now told we're out of warranty and they'll do nothing to help. We were quoted over $1,800 for resealing by Concrete Authority. Save your money and go somewhere else that stands behind their product! We have had the pleasure of Jared coming out to give us a quote for replacing our side walk and front porch. He was extremely helpful giving us different ideas and we decided to go with the stamped concrete and stain. The crew that did the demo and rebuilding they did a magnificent job and we could not be happier. The staff that we have had the pleasure of speaking too have always been very helpful. Had a patio put in by them, the stone on one side is coming out from underneath cement slab. So I called them the same week it was put in and they told me that I would have to pay someone to come look at it, after I just paid thousands of dollars to have it put in!!! Also they torn a portion of the siding off the house( don't ask me why) and never fixed it. Wish I could give them a negative number read more

If you're looking for a concrete contractor keep looking, these guys are amateurs who issue fraudulent estimates. During the winter my outdoor paver steps heaved and I decided to replace them with concrete and add a walkway. In March the estimator from Concrete Authority came to do the estimate and arrived 45 minutes early. My husband had wanted to be there as well and had left work to be home in time for the appointment. The estimator stayed about 20 minutes, measured a few things and was gone in a flash. He passed my husband on the road and rolled down his window and yelled 'looks good I'll get you an estimate'. The estimate came in weeks later with several mistakes that took time to correct. The final estimate arrived in June and I paid the 20% down and signed the contract. And waited. And waited. Finally in August the site surveyors came out and immediately noted that the estimator hadn't included a cement pumper in the estimate. The estimator then emailed us a change order for another 10% of the contract price to cover the pumper and demanded we sign the order and pay. We laughed out loud - who forgets to include a cement pumper in a cement job? - and declined, saying it was their error. The estimator called, yelled 'we're not in the business of losing money, I'm canceling the contract', and mailed our check back. So we are left with unsafe steps at the end of a building season. I went through Building Industry Associates of Lancaster to see if they could get Concrete Authority to stand by their "stated commitment to providing its customers with fair pricing and quality service" but instead Concrete Authority quoted another part of the contract that gives them the ability to cancel any contract at any time, up to 3 days before the work is scheduled to start. The part of the contract that they quoted also specifies that they will give written notice of contract cancellations, which they didn't do. If their business plan is to get in a lot of work by issuing fraudulent estimates, then blackmailing customers for more money right before the job is suppose to start, I guess they'll be 'rebranding' again soon. And they netted the interest off our deposit. read more

Terrible product, worse service. Formerly Stamp Concrete Works of Leola but lost their name due to one too many complaints. Thought that would make them change their ways, it clearly didn't. Now operating under Concrete Authority with a professional website and the appearance of working with large businesses, they portray a false image of quality large-scale professional work. They told us in the beginning that the concrete will be mixed with a color of our choice. Blatant lies. It is regular concrete powder blasted on the surface. It's been a month and its already chipping white. Would've been better to just have concrete laid out at a fraction of the price then stained by a professional or ourselves. The stamps are crooked and laid out by unskilled laborers. You can't even walk barefoot on the patio without it cutting into your skin. The concrete is chipping and peeling. Oh yeah, its only been a month. What have they done in response? Absolutely nothing. They are your best friends before they get the check and once you write them a check - everything is cut off. Really terrible job. Concrete was laid out crooked and already started to chip in a few weeks. Looked like kindergartners got sticks and drew into concrete to make the "stamps". I was in shock just how unprofessional someone can be at their job and actually expect to collect money off of that. I contacted Jim, Bryan, and Lori at Concrete Authority and they were very rude and just ignored my pleas to come to a resolution. I hope you don't make the same mistake I did and trust Concrete Authority with handling your patio. read more
