Parking along both sides of Sheridan Blvd. wasn't to bad with people coming and going often. Kudos to those (groups/companies) responsible for building this section up. Years ago there wasn't much desireable here...but they've really built it up into a place where not only locals can enjoy, but others can come to visit...doesn't happen to much is the less desireable neighborhoods, or boroughs for that matter. While this park doesn't compare to many others in the city at his point, it has a huge turf…read moremulti-use soccer field (league-size), a kid's playground, and the soon-to-be Bronx River House (they just broke ground on it earlier this year, but I think it will add a lot of value to this area and the park soon). The waterside view isn't the best, as the water is stagnant and pretty dirty as the dredge is about 1000 feet ahead in the next park over: Concrete Plant Park. Needless to say, it's got a lot of greenery, and is overall peaceful. As this is a new park to the area, it's is a great area park for the neighborhood. It appears they will be expanding it to connect to other area parks in the future, like Concrete Plant park and another park to the North. I'm looking forward to seeing the Bronx River House, which will be a NYC Parks facility that will serve as a community education center and boat house for the park.

Access to this park can be tricky. My hubby always gets us there though~ sometimes starting our walk from Inwood Hill park going uptown. Othertimes from the 180's street in Washington Heights. Once you get there, view is worth it. Love the little red light house & its history. Clean bathrooms are also available. Be mindful of the bikers in this area. They're more inpatient & drive faster here compared to other parks in the city.

Fort Washington Park, right by the George Washington Bridge, has a park you can park your car, walk around, bike, picnic, explore, and be around beautiful scenery. The parking lot can get busy abd packed. If you do find a spot, stay and enjoy being outside. Often driving on the George Washington Bridge heading to New York, you don't stop to think there are options to be under the bridge and check out how beautiful it can be. No entrance fee, free to the public. Enjoy and relax these warm days ahead. It's good to come here even when it isn't warm - experience being here through different seasons.

The landmark of central Riverdale…read more Although the bell tower is considered a "park" I can't concieve actually hanging out there on one of the benches and reading or any other relaxing activity one would partake in at a park considering it's smack in the middle of the traffic circle (if you can even call it that...because a proper one does not have traffic lights) where Johnson Avenue/Henry Hudson Parkway East, Riverdale Avenue and 239th Street converge. Hardly peaceful to say the least. During the holidays it's decorated with Christmas stuff and a giant menorah which is a nice touch.

But it turns out there's a duplicate listing under the name River-to-Ridge. Even my fans might not want another PATH train rant, so I'm glad I found one more thing to review. Central Park and Prospect Park are meticulously crafted, but Inwood Hill Park includes a legit old-growth forest. Visually, these massive trees provide an almost startling wilderness appearance, even if the highway noises break the spell. The non-forest area still offers a decent amount of colorful-in-October trees and great Harlem River/Spuyten Duyvil reviews. And if you're one of those Yelp fanatics who reviews Metro-North, you can get some scenic train videos from the park.

It is a large public park, but of course, no Central Park for size comparison and neither the landscape of Conservatory Gardens which are my ultimate favorite. Nevertheless, it does contains beautiful full bloom lush green scenic landscaping with cohesive impact of a community park. It was built on a steep incline, which I surely felt as I was walking uphill on Cathedral Parkway and it was surely strenuous physical activity. There are outlook posts via stairs that fends a cliff-like towering view where visitors pause to intake a scenic views from above street level. These stairs are not ADA accessible. There are benches. The grounds are clean and peaceful. My visit was a fleeting moment in passage of my travels. It awoken my spirit to be grateful to be alive to see nature's beauty. My favorite are weeping willow trees which are beautiful and ultimate picturesque scenic for landscaping beauty, but to no avail. There are giant rock boulders that serve as fence or border. On Saturdays there is a outdoor farmers market. There is a bronze sculpture "Alfred Lincoln Seligman Fountain," by Edgar Walter dedicated 1914 depicting a bear leaning on rock hunting its prey with faun sheltering below and a adjacent plaque located north 114th Street and Morningside Avenue, at the foot of the stairway. This park is accessible via MTA NYC Transit B, C trains at Cathedral Parkway-110th Street station and local 1 train at Cathedral Parkway-110th Street station in Upper West Side, Manhattan, NYC.

Teardrop Park is a 1.8-acre urban oasis tucked into Battery Park City, designed to evoke the rugged beauty of the Catskills. Somehow, despite being surrounded by residential buildings, it feels like a tiny mountain landscape hidden in the city. The dramatic 27-foot bluestone wall, jagged rock formations, and naturalistic spaces like "The Marsh" make it feel worlds away from Manhattan. There's something here for everyone: * The Giant Slide - A 33-foot-long silver slide built right into a rocky hill that lands in a giant sandbox. * Water Play Area - A "water grotto" with jets and bubbling springs that comes alive in warmer months. * Bluestone Wall - It's epic. In spring and summer, it "weeps" water, and in winter it forms natural ice sculptures. * The North Lawn - A quieter escape with a sloping oval lawn and a peaceful Hilltop Reading Circle. Great for sled riding after snowfall. * Sustainability - The park is maintained organically (no toxic pesticides). * It was designed by Michael Van Valkenburgh and was ahead of its time in green urban design. The park uses 100% organic soils and an advanced irrigation system that recycles graywater from the nearby Solaire building. Artists Ann Hamilton and Michael Mercil also collaborated on embedded geologic artwork, adding subtle layers of meaning to the landscape itself. One caveat: it was originally a dog-free park, which made sense given the sand areas, child population and natural features. That rule changed a few years ago, and I've seen dogs frolicking in the sand pits (raising hygiene concerns)--so if you visit, just be mindful of where you step. All in all, Teardrop Park is a thoughtful, beautifully designed, and surprisingly wild-feeling space in the middle of the city. A true neighborhood gem.

There are also many playgrounds, pickleball courts, and benches to enjoy. The park is well maintained and is pretty active with people on a nice day you will see many people out here.
