Do not recommend, not trustworthy. I took a high end 75 inch 8K in here based on good reviews. The TV would not turn on but was perfect condition outside of that issue. For next two weeks I get inconsistent messages about them trying back light, power board and other parts to fix it. Kept mentioning lines in tv which I didn't understand as it was perfect condition outside of not turning on. Finally go in 2 weeks later and get the attached picture of tv. They tell me the lines are in the tv and can't be fixed and they don't know what it is from. Disappointing as screen was fine when I dropped it off, but they claim they didn't look closely at the tv when I dropped it off (great business strategy). They say they didn't do it, lie about a main board not being available so even if they did the TV can't be fixed anyway. They even pretended to be confused as to what would have caused the damage. Left there with the TV and took it for second opinion to Ben's TV Repair in Glenview (wish I would of gone here first). Ben's TV took one look at it and diagnosed it with a broken panel from physical impact damage to the screen. Refused to charge me for looking at it and recycled the TV for free. Sent an email to condor to see if they want to make it right and crickets. Classy customer service. Never got an answer but pretty sure this place doesn't have insurance if they break your TV so they just try to hide it. Took in a small tv where the coaxial cable connector had broken. They promptly fixed in two days at a reasonable cost. Had to return because the remote wasn't working. While I waited they cleaned the sensor. No charge. Wow what great service. Honest, and reasonably priced. A great combination. I like that they will tell you if it's worth putting money in to a piece of electronics. TV prices have come down so knowing when to fix something is important. Great place. Family run. Brought in a 2-year old Samsung 48 inch TV (the picture went out). Originally thought I would have to scrap it because the cost to repair might be too much verses a new TV. They fixed my set within a few days, at a cost that was much lower than what I was anticipating. Straight forward, work done as promised. I had two TV's repaired by Condor. The first was an expensive Plasma which would not power on properly. They fixed that one perfectly. Which made me very happy and willing to try again. My experience with the second TV was not as good. This was an inexpensive Samsung 6 series, only a couple years old. I brought the TV to them in late November and didn't hear from them for a couple weeks. Then, when I finally got it back about a month later, it had the same problem - it was as if they had not even repaired it at all. There's a 90 day warranty so, they took it back and tried again. This time when I got it back, the bezel was all scratched up and the back was not properly attached. To top it all off, it still had the same problem! At this point, I did not take it back to them. I tried to reattach the back which was difficult and in the process saw that there was only one board in the TV. Since I am an IT guy, I decided to purchase the board online and replace it myself. The part cost $70 and took me about 15 minutes to replace. Had I watched a YouTube video before taking it to them I could have saved over $100. Additionally, they are a cash only business - so keep that in mind. Overall, very nice people but, their repair skills leave something to be desired. read more

They offered a free estimate on carry in items so we brought our LCD tv on a Saturday afternoon and received a call by Tuesday with a resolution. He then said the tv could even be done by later that afternoon for a reasonable price and 90 day guarantee. We weren't able to get there within their listed hours but the owner, BJ, offered to stay until 515-530 for us which was very nice. He even carried the tv to the car for us. Amazing service and timeliness! First let me say that it is nearly impossible to get me to give anything 5 stars. I am probably "overly critical", at least that is what my friends and family would say! Ha! I give 5 stars here without hesitation! Our 50 inch Samsung Plasma TV, which was wall mounted, "popped" one night while we were watching and all of the sudden we had sound but no picture. We searched around for a week or so trying to figure out what to do, and I stumbled upon Condor TV Repair. I called on Monday and told Abraham the situation. He said no problem, they could come to my house, un-mount the TV and let me know the issue. They were able to come the next day! They came at a set time, not a window of time, which was AWESOME, and they were right on time! My husband helped them take the TV down and they took back to their shop to fix. They told us 2-5 days to fix. That would've put us at a completion date of 10/9 to 10/15 (assuming no work on weekends). Today, 10/8 (a day EARLY!!) they called and told me the TV was fixed (it was a bad board), could they bring back to my house? They gave me a timeframe and again, were right on time! They helped me put the TV back up on the wall and everything is good as new with the TV. There was a service call charge of $85 for the house call and diagnosis, but it went against our repair bill! And their prices for the fix were reasonable. There is even a 90 day warranty on their fix! You don't see service like this anymore. After reading all good reviews went to this place . Left my TV on Mon. for estimate was told '' i will call you today or tomorrow" . Nobody call for week . I call them Sat. got answer " i will call you with estimate Mon." . No call on Monday. I call Thu. again got answer " i will call you in couple hours" nobody call. At this point my trust in this shop is gone . Saturday i arrive and ask for my TV and $ 20 for "estimate" . To be fair they give me back $ 20 estimate fee. Took my 58" Samsung in to be repaired and they replaced the main board. Three weeks later I had the same problem (wouldn't turn on). I had to take it back in and they stood by their warranty and fixed it free of charge. They then delivered back to my house for me which was extremely helpful because it wouldn't fit into my car with my children's car seats. I dropped off my 50" plasma TV to get it repaired that's what they get the 1 star for is that it works. About a week and a half later they call to say the TV is ready, when I came to pick it up the whole front of the frame is all scratched up my TV didn't even have one scratch on it when I dropped it off it's only 2 yrs old and it hangs on the wall it looked brand new. The place looks run down and TV's laying, standing, and leaning against walls no wonder they scratched the whole front of it now it looks like and old used TV. When I showed them that the whole front of it is scratched they knocked off $30 from my $250 bill what kind of BS is that ... so that's why I decided to write this review to warn others of the shady service they do. read more
