My friend has been using Condos to Castles for a while now and her house always look so clean after they finish. I finally caved in and decided to give them a try. As an initial start, they would do a deep cleaning within your budget and your preference. Candy was great in asking questions on what are important to me such as areas of focus, cleaning techniques and products to use, etc. As an example, I wanted them to do common areas and not bedrooms and ok with bleach but avoid strong smell solutions or heavy chemical smells. I've never had cleaners before so I wasn't sure what to expect. Having 2 cat, 1 dog, and 2 children, my house is in constant mess. I had the kids picked up the toys off the floor on their first visit and prayed for the best. When I got home and saw how clean and organized my house was, I nearly cried! I actually gave the ladies a huge hug because I was so pleased!! There were 4 of them and they were amazing. My floors were sparkling, my sink never looked so white and my bathrooms looked so new again. My initial cleaning was $300 but I tipped them extra as they went above and beyond. Of course set a schedule with them to come on a regular basis. They have now came to the house 3 times and they always do a general cleaning of floors, bathrooms, and if they have extra time, they will do something extra like cleaning out the fridge or cabinets. I'm very happy with them so far and plan to add bedrooms to the list now that they've impressed me so much. read more

absolutely terrible. The cleaners sat in my driveway for 10 minutes before they even got out and came inside.. They missed things that i asked to do. I saw on my camera in my home thats hidden the girls smoking in my home. They were not professional at all. Dana and her team were amazing. Truly. She and Candy were so easy to coordinate with. The team was hard-working, friendly and incredibly professional. They cleaned bathroom stains that we thought would never come. We were away, but there were in depth updates about the work that was done, as well as was still needed. This is in the Millbrook NY area (not California as indicated on the rating panel). Management has a terririlbe attitude regarding scheduling and will not provide any window of time for the day of cleaning (even the night before): leaving the customer stranded on the day of cleaning waiting to know if the crew will show up in the morning, afternoon, or later afternoon. This makes it difficult to scheudle one's own day of work. The cleaning staff were not bad excep that they would take items off all shelves and replace them in different places so it was hard to find items needed. Again, the real issue was the negative and unprofessional attitude of management. Buyer beware. read more

Five stars, all the way. A year ago, my job needed me to move to Florida for two years. Only one problem: I owned a house in the Hudson Valley. I didn't want to sell that house or empty it out for long-term renters, so my only option for keeping afloat was renting it on AirBNB. Not satisfied with the quality of the service or the cost! I needed carpets and upholstery cleaned and then a good cleaning- including kitchen cabinets and woodwork etc Received a quote for shampooing carpets, upholstery and a complete cleaning.(very high but we're having a party and wanted the house CLEAN) I was told that the carpets and upholstery were to be cleaned first day and the cleaning will get cleaned within a few days after. Received a text from the owner that they will able to clean and shampoo carpets on the same day. The day of the cleaning,I received a text from the owner and she was finished. But she forgot to include a few upholstery pieces,etc so they weren't cleaned. Got home from work expecting a clean house and I was totally disappointed. Not only was the kitchen cabinets still dirty, nothing was dusted. But the worst part was when I noticed popcorn on the chair they shampooed the upholstery Never again! read more

This was the owners response on Yelp in case they edit followed by my rebuttal. 11/3/2016 Thank you, John P. for your review. We would like our potential clients to know that while we may have missed 4 kitchen cabinet/draws of this almost 4,000 square foot deep cleaning overhaul, we did offer a significant refund and we did offer to come back and make things better all to know avail. We would also like potential clients to be directed to our HomeAdvisor.compage where we have 36+ reviews carrying all greater than 4 stars, we have a 5 star rating on Thumbtack and we hold an "A" rating on Angie's List. As you can tell, over the last few years, our Yelp page only seems to catch the negative side of our strong business which is growing every day - we feel it is quite amazing how cleaning 800 + homes a year brings us to under 5 reviews on this site. It should also be noted that the owners are in the field cleaning as well and we recently had our 3rd very successful summer aiding our client's AirBNB locations helping them to maintain 5 stars due to cleanliness and organization which we take very seriously. As an attempt to prove to the public that the owners are in the field and that our work is NOT subcontracted out, we have posted a deal for an initial clean to all new clients for a reduced hourly rate of $20.00 per hour. We certainly could NOT pay subcontractors with that deep of a discount. So, on that note, John P., we feel we have done everything we could to make you happy...the only thing left to do would have been to leave our right arm. As always, we are grateful for any business and the experience it comes with. OUR REBUTTAL: There were MORE then 4 cabinets missed. They did not offer to come back. They DID offer comps but we are not aware of any dollar amount because my fiancé would not be comped to shut her up and weed out her review. People need to be able to trust these sites and get an honest answer and not read reviews from possible "friends" or other favors done. We did not post a bad review with the intention of a refund. We will not ask a company to to come back that did a bad job to begin with. We believe that the owners make the AirBNB customers a priority and clean them themselves to assure quality service. You certainly can outsource a cleaning person for $20/hr especially when the subcontractors can pay their kids $15.00 /hr to help them. Regardless of their $20/hr promotion, they may be implementing a loss leading or breakeven technique. Lose money/break even initially to get long term work at the higher rate. Well, the only way you get long term work in this field is to do quality work from the beginning. The cleaning people they sent were very polite, but we are afraid the quality is just not there as was advertised. If you can't clean a less then 4000 sq foot home, then take Castles off your company name because we don't believe you will do a good job cleaning a castles dungeon. I know growing pains can impact a small company, but hope you take it serious from one business owner to another. And please we don't want any body parts of yours left in our home unless it's an arm that cleans properly. read more

I have to say that I was not happy with the services that were provided. The cleaning job that was performed was not good at all. I requested a deep cleaning which incluced baseboards and blinds. I was charged $340 and that included only one bedroom of a three bedroom small house with a basement. Some areas looked very nice and the house smelled great when they were finished, but the work was spotty and some blinds and baseboards were not even touched. I contacted the owner/supervisor and she stated she would not give any refund but would send one person back to the house. When I contacted her back to make arraingments, she stopped responding. That was a pretty big waste of money for a job not completely done. read more

Candy came out and met us to take a look at our property and provide an estimate for their services. I really liked her and she was very professional and thoughtful about what we needed. I decided to go with another cleaning service simply based on price and boy, what a mistake that was. I learned my lesson quickly and contacted Candy to request her help. Since then, Candy's team has cleaned our house dozens of times. We are not on-site b/c this is a rental property so the great communication they provide is a huge help. If anything is amiss, they send us pictures or text with additional questions. In addition to doing a great job cleaning the house, they have also accommodated us by setting out towels and other items for our guests. When our dryer broke they set up a way for us to have towels and sheets laundered. They offer the convenience of allowing us to pay by PayPal and are incredibly responsive to our feedback. We will definitely be continuing to work with Condos to Castles. They are wonderful! You are in great hands with Dana & Candy. read more
