Needed to do a brake job, with my eBay brake kit. Have done it myself in the past but called around a few places and conejo was the lowest quote at $80 for an accord. Gf went in and they started working on the car while she talked to them. I guess conejo is more than apt. It was making a noise that I figured was from a warped rotor but wanted to be sure they checked it out with no cost. Brake job was great added crc brake quiet and some copper lubricant that I brought. Would recommend this shop to anyone! Update: They worked on my Camry and basically rebuilt the entire suspension. Super reasonable Seriously if you Need suspension work this is the best place in dade. They do some seriously high end stuff so I trust them to do oem stuff!! read more

Absolutely horrible experience with CONEJO ! NEVER I repeat NEVER take your car here. I came her for a simple brake job I wanted to know how much to install the pads and the rotors, He couldn't give me a straight answer... After I give him a chance to perform the work I get home and my brake disc have discoloration "mind you I bought them brand new the same day in auto parts' The next day I go back to his shop and he says "come back in 2 days" My car was breaking like SHIT ... After further analyzation I saw what appeared to look like flakes on my pads (some sort of tampering to make me come back) ofcourse he says he doesn't know how that happen, he tried to say the pads don't work because they have to be OEM, BIGGEST LIE EVER....... If you truly care about your safety and your car DO NOT go to this place you will remember me and you will be disappointed. I would give CONEJO ZERO STARS IF I COULD. read more

Very reasonable price for a new thermostat. Bring CASH though. I was told cash only. The wait time was iffy at times because I had no idea when my car would be serviced. They were busy and had a variety of cars that needed work. I waited patiently on their folding chairs in front of the gas station/next to the repair shop garage for about two hours. I didn't mind since I didn't make an appointment, although I don't think that would've made much a difference. The older gentleman, Jose - I think, who worked on my car was friendly and was careful in draining and replacing all the coolant. The owner, Mr. Conejo - I think, thankfully took the time to drive my car around for at least 10 minutes to make sure the new thermostat was working properly. Pep Boys tried to charge me $2,000 to change/replace the fuel pump, tires, oil, and fuel filter on my '98 Ford Explorer... I felt like the quote was unreasonable, so I brought it to Conejo Auto Services at the urging of a family member that insisted I get a second opinion before doing the repairs. Conjeo Auto Services quoted me $990, and said that the quote also included changing my rear breaks, which were worn out, and Pep Boys hadn't even told me about! I'm now a loyal customer for life. I had to wait 9 months because he because the employees never showed up to work and the owner was only one person so he had my car for 9 months I lost over $10,000 in engine swaps and renting a car all he says is I don't have nobody to work I don't have nobody to work then you shouldn't be open on top of that he has no ACse certificatio he's overpricing things and has no warranty on the work it took him 8 months to swap out my engine and another month for me to take it out and take it to another shop I don't recommend his shop he is a piece of trash everybody keeps telling me not to go to him but I went cuz he was like family but if family treat you like that who wants enemies and he still will not man up for the mistakes he made on my car read more

The mechanic is located inside the Westar gas station on the intersection of SW 102 Avenue and Miller Drive (SW 56 St). Our car was struck by lighting which caused an electrical failure. We learned of Conejo on a recommendation that they specialize in electrical issues. We called ahead and explained the car trouble to the owner directly and advised we would be filing a claim through the insurance he said no problem I can work with insurance. We towed the car to this shop and were told by the insurance an agent would need to inspect the car and know the extent of the damage to the car as quoted by the mechanic. Unfortunately since this happened after hours the car needed to stay overnight. When we called the owner the next day to advise the insurance agent gave the OK to inspect the car he said he doesn't work with insurance and we needed to move the car within the hour because he did not want it on his lot since he would not work on it. It would have been best if the mechanic would have told us from the beginning he does not work with insurance. Since the shop is inside a gas station the space in very compact and uncomfortable to maneuver if driving a truck. This place is HIGHLY unrecommended due to the unprofessional and bipolar manner of the owner read more

I took my Jeep to planet of road for transmission repairs and ended up being $400.00 more than I was quoted but I guess I had no other choice at that time. When I picked up my Jeep I told the owner that the jeep was not shifting correctly and he told me to continue driving it that it will get better, it actually made it worse. I took it to Conejo Auto Service and they were able to repair my transmission properly in a timely matter and cheaper, I will recommend this repair shop to any body. read more

Absolutely horrible experiences with this repair place. Let me begin by saying that I am a 41 year old Mom and wife and this is my first review. The reason being that in most things in life I believe that if you don't have something good to say to not say it. However, I feel I would do a huge disservice to fellow Miamians if in this case I did not share my opinion and experiences. I literally work across the street from this "business." Yesterday my car was shaking and overheated. It left me stranded on the intersection of 102 & Miller. A nice driver stopped and helped me pull the car into Conejo. After inspecting & diagnosing the less than friendly employee told me his boss on the phone said not to take my business because it entailed replacing the water pump, that Mazdas are a lot of work and that they simply wouldn't help me. So now I'm stranded and angry. I called for a tow to another repair shop. The employee confronted me saying that I shouldn't be mad and that he researched and the job would've cost $1k anyway. I told him how would he even know that I would not pay that before turning me away and that, regardless, he had now lost my business. As my car was being prepared for tow, I noticed that Conejo was closing shop for the day..3pm on a Friday in Miami! They just simply did not want to work. Apparently they don't need the business. I must say that I work across the street from this place, but I will continue to go out of my way every single time. Conejo repair is a poor excuse for a business. They are crude and lack complete customer service. PS In the past on another instance when my car was having issues they insisted nothing was wrong with it. The next day, the car wouldn't start. I do believe in solutions and highlighting those who are honest and do good work. I now recommend everyone in need of car repair visit Rolando at Unlimited Auto Repair on Coral Way & 137 Ave. Yesterday we towed our car to him. He called that he would have it ready this week and it would be fine and cost $800. Small price to pay for good service and peace of mind. read more

I took my Pontiac Grand Am to fix the alternator which failed and these assholes not only charged alot for a used alternator but punctured a big hole in my radiator which left me stranded later that day on the expressway near Hialeah in August. I never never would have thought a mechanic would do such a thing or expected any problems after leaving that shop. When another mechanic from AAA saw the radiator he noticed a hole that looks like somebody hit into it with a large screw driver causing it to drain in heat of engine. The only people to be in that area was the Conejo mechanics earlier who wrecked my radiator! That cost me over $400 to fix because when I had my car towed to their shop, they denied it and refused to pay for damages. Till this day they continue to deny they damaged my radiator and refuse to pay me for a radiator which was almost brand new when I took my car to their shit shop! The only reason I am giving these guys at Conejos auto service 5 stars is just because they are brutally honest. I just don't trust the third party gentleman that rebuilds the transmissions for the shop. I had nothing but terrible luck, I hope, when i needed the trans. on my 99 toyota rebuilt. they just could not get it right. After the first attempt, they let me drive off with a slipping torque converter and would not start in 1st gear that made the truck incapable of driving up my inclined driveway. upon taking the truck back the "tranny expert" jumped in the drivers seat and took me for a spin. By the blackness of the ATF and the horrid burnt smell the transmission was obviously burnt to garbage and was slipping the entire ride. As he was aggressively driving my truck like a raging lunatic. He then stops and shifts the truck in 4LO via transfer case and drives it and then has the urge to insult my intelligence and say that its the transfer case and nothing is wrong with the transmission that I should drive it in 4LO... At that very moment I realized I f@#$ed up taking my truck to this shop for a transmission rebuild. The owner Conejo, thats really his name, has been nothing but apologetic and comprehensive of the situation and replaced my original worn spark plugs and serpentine belts at the time it was there. Finally, the transmission had to be rebuilt again after 3 months in and out of the shop and i can say its been driving ok. Again, I will say Conejos auto service is a GREAT shop for 4x4 jeeps and trucks, but don't trust their transmission Guru. read more
