The thought of a 4 hour drive, mostly on highways, with no brake lights was slightly terrifying. We pulled into Farmer's Choice (I remembered they did some work on my dad's truck a year prior), walked up to the office door and saw Saturday hours were by appointment only. My husband walked around to the garage and found a young man (I'm so sad we didn't get his name) working on a truck and asked if there was any way he could help us. He immediately agreed, switched out some fuses, charged our camper battery, checked our bulbs and cleaned connectors to make sure we were set. He never acted inconvenienced, he never grumbled, he never said we needed an appointment, he just seemed genuinely happy to be helping us. We are usually only out this way once or twice a year but I will certainly frequent this shop again if ever needed and will without a doubt recommend them to anyone in need!

We worked with both Jim Sr. and Jim Jr. on a title transfer for a vehicle that was purchased out of…read morestate. That transaction turned out to be much more complicated than expected because the seller provided inaccurate and incomplete paperwork. Both Sr. and Jr. were patient and professional. Because of their experience, they were able to unravel the issue and resolve it. Lohr's probably invested 3-4 hours on our title transaction and charged us a very fair and honest price for all their work and their expertise. More recently, we were closing on a property sale and needed to have some documents notarized. We actually took the documents to another Notary first. After watching my wife and I spend about an hour reviewing 240 pages of documents to make sure everything was in order, the Notary finally mentioned their price, which was $15 per notarization. In the end, this transaction would have cost us almost $200 for their services. I remembered Lohr's and called them on my cell phone. Jim Jr. picked up. He let me know they had closed for the day, but even so, he asked about our situation. I explained we had a very short window to have the documents notarized and then delivered overnight. He probably recognized the stress in my voice. Without hesitation, he offered to drive back to their office and open just for my wife and I to get our documents notarized. When we walked in, I noticed the engraved sign on the counter, detailing all their fees for various services. As Jim Jr. worked through the documents carefully, he pointed out several missing initials, which we then corrected. He explained the entire process and his fees, even though they were clearly posted. He was thorough, courteous and respectful of our time constraints. When it came time to figure the bill, Jim Jr. charged us a flat fee for all of the work, rather than a per document fee. He explained that the 'per document' fee makes sense when a customer has only a few documents to be notarized. However, he recognized that because our two documents included 6 notarizations each, that it would be fairer to charge a flat fee rather than per document. He wouldn't have had to do that. Honestly, at that point my wife and I were so grateful that he was willing notarize the documents on our very tight timetable, that we would have gladly paid the higher fee. In the end, we paid less than half of what we would have been charged at the other place, even though the personal service we received was 10x greater. In this day and age, customer service is almost non-existent. It is rare to find a business of any size that is truly willing to put the customer experience ahead of everything else. Lohr's certainly did that and more. They take a personal interest in their customers and that made all the difference to us. We are customers for life and greatly appreciate the honesty and integrity of both Jim Sr. and Jim Jr.

Not truly knowing what had happened, we were extremely nervous, helpless, and needed attention! We limped into town with a loud, sputtering truck and a 30' camping trailer. We drove in through and were heading back out through this small town when we pulled into a trucking company parking lot. A man sitting in his PU truck said, "go to the station on the corner - they'll take good care of you". That was an understatement! Busy to the max, the store manager, Darin, with a cast on his ankle from a 3-day-old surgery, checked out our damage, diagnosed the problem instantly; but said they had no leeway in their schedule to do any kind of a fix for us. He called another shop in town and got the same response. After thinking it over and probably realizing the gravity of our situation (we weren't going far the way we were), he offered us a mechanic to look at it after a while and see how bad the damage was and IF a temporary fix would be a possibility. Scott, the chosen mechanic, after almost 4 hours, had put a temporary spark plug adaption on the cylinder that had the plug blow out and we were able to travel once more. We were almost 200 miles from home but made it and can now have our truck fixed with a more permanent procedure. Darin and Scott were life-savers to us and we really appreciated their generosity, knowledge, and professionalism! A GREAT STORE WITH GREAT EMPLOYEES!!

My daughter-in-law found this auto repair shop on a mommy site for young mothers. This was a newer business. The owners Chris and J (not sure his name) were very friendly and professional. They repaired my car for a nominal price so much so that I felt bad leaving with them having done so much for so little that I asked them to do other things for my car such as a oil change so I didn't leave without them making some money off me.
