Right now we are dealing with a complex issue with my dog and they have been right there working through it with me. I can't thank them enough. Recently I found out that Dr. Mason is no longer the managing veterinarian and I was shocked! I'm not sure why this decision was made but Corporate really blew it this time! He is the reason this office made it through Covid and is still in business. For months he was the only veterinarian there. He deserves to be treated in a manner that shows how much he is appreciated and valued not given a slap in the face. I hope they realize their mistake and reward him appropriately. Bottom line as long as this staff is here you won't go wrong bringing your precious pets to this practice.

I called recently to make an appointment and was told that since I hadn't been there for a while that I would have to pay a 75 dollar new client fee. This news was delivered very rudely. I pet sit and have sent all of my clients to this vet because of the care and good service. Perhaps an email to alert people of this policy ? Very sad to look for a new vet and the lack of compassion from their front desk staff. Especially at a time when my cat is now ill and in distress.

I felt heard while talking to the Vet and her and the vet tech's were caring of our dogs. They comforted our dogs as they got their yearly shots and nails trimmed. Which meant a lot. The parking lot is a little tight but that's the only thing I would have to say to be prepared for. They are easy to call-in for our prescriptions and it's easy for pick-up. We will be gladly coming back here for the long run!

Myself and my year old boxer, Junior, were staying in the State College area for a month while visiting from CA. In a pinch, I needed a place to board him while I flew to Canada. I checked out several other places and Golden Wood seemed the only safe place to board him. It was only 20 minutes from the airport as well. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience. They posted photos of Junior everyday while I was gone along with a status report. When I picked him up, he was well groomed and very happy. I would have given them a 5 star review had I had more experience with them. Additionally, for those of us that live outside of the area, the value for money was very good.
