Took our dog here for twelve years. Came time to let her go. Spent a number of days saying goodbye, having people come home and just trying to keep her comfortable. Scheduled the "Humane" euthanasia with them. Wish I would've tried harder to find someone to come to the house. The room is too small. Stuffy. Your on the floor?! They sent two young girls who didn't know what they were doing. They stressed her out trying to shave her leg (all of it, really?, for an IV) using inferior clippers. Hello! Samoyeds have a heavy coat. Then they jabbed her with the IV needle and made her cry out in pain and she bit my son on the hand. Finally a more experienced assistant came, although even she took two tries to get the right clippers for the job. I was fuming but didn't say anything because I didn't want to make a bad situation worse. Twelve and a half years of loving that dog, almost a week of saying goodbye while family members made their way back and more tears than I think I ever thought I would cry and we are left with this botch job as our final memory. Three weeks later and I still can't forgive them. If we ever have another pet, we won't be taking them here. read more

The doctors here seem to care- but you've got to get through the girls at the counter first. If they're not downright rude, they are slow and absent-minded. In the past I've been told that 2 of my pets had cancer, but upon taking them elsewhere, I was told they did not- and I still have them years later, happy and healthy. The receptionist, Tara, is awful and combative. I called about cremation services, and Tara was insulting, rude and tried to pick a fight with me, ostensibly because I dared to ask her to tell me the costs of services! I know. How awful, right? Well, she told me how rude I was because I asked for a price quote! If her goal is to ALIENATE CUSTOMERS, she's highly successful. Thanks, but I think my beloved pets will get better care from an office with a staff that can at least feign empathy. These people act like sociopaths. read more

Yesterday was our first visit to Straley Veterinary Associates with one of our two Great Danes. Dr. Wenrich and her staff are amazing. Each team member we came in contact with truly made sure we felt welcome and our fur baby got the care and attention he needed. We never felt rushed through our visit and Dr. Wenrich and her staff took the time to explain any and all questions we had as well as explained step by step care that was needed at home. We will definitely be taking both of our babies there from now on and would recommend Dr. Wenrich and her staff to anyone who is looking for a great doctor for their furry family members. read more

Communication could be better at Straley's. They prescribed my dog three different medications which she's been taking and they have definitely helped. However, when I asked the pharmacy to refill them recently, they told me that Straley's didn't approve the refill because I needed to bring my dog in for a six-month check. I have no problem with that, but it would have been nice to hear that from Straley's rather than the pharmacy. Also, it would have been nice to get a heads-up before I ran out of two of the three medications. Compared to our last vet (Centre Animal Hospital), I'm not impressed with the lack of communication. read more

The team at Straley was very helpful! We are adopting a puppy who had his initial vet check at Straley. They were very quick at providing us and our vet with his records.
